"Two Boots, Downtown La. We order Two Boots Pizza for our [[Whisky Type workshop](http://type-ed.com/catalog/workshop-2-whisky-type/)](http://type-ed.com/catalog/workshop-2-whisky-type/), because what goes better with a dram and a typography critique? Pizza that tastes like New Orleans does. This Cajun-Italian transport from NYC sits in a small fixture on Broadway and does us good with the Bayou Beast; shrimp, crawfish, andouille, jalapeño and mozzarella. Now, if they'd just create a bread pudding pizza..."

Two Boots is a neat little corner pizza joint. Walk up to the window and order from a variety of uniquely named slices with equally unique flavors. We had The Meg and a second pizza with pepperoni and buffalo chicken. The slice was a bit dry and wasn’t particularly impressive. The two things Two Boots does well is offering a very large slice and incorporating unique flavors and ingredients.

Bayou Pizza! I had it cook to order fresh and swap out items. Omg, just bomb! I also loved the garlic knots.

I love Two Boots! I've been driving to their Echo Park location for the last 6 months not realizing there was one in downtown (closer to me). The V is for Vegan is the BEST vegan pizza I've ever had. I don't even really love pizza. I will often get a whole pie and just eat it over the next few days. I think it's the crust? The heavy cornmeal gets me every time. And the pesto sauce is primo. The downtown location has no seating - only bummer.

Tiny pizza hut tucked away on Banker's Row. Blink and you'll miss it. My only draw here was wandering downtown and seeing a glass full of pies. To the untrained eye, this could almost seem dirty (this part of downtown isn't exactly spot clean), but after bumping heads with the glass I thought I'd take a risk. Also noticed they had garlic knots...dam I'm sold. The toppings selection are quite unique and they have creative names for their pies along with a wide selection. Eating here earns a Boy Scout Fearless Badge. If there's anything keeping you from walking into sketchy downtown filled with wandering transients, try doing the same but with a paper plate of garlicky smelly pizza on a stool set up along Broadway. Yes, they be staring, and they be jealous. Made me eat that pie a bit faster than usual. Two Boots is literally built into a Pay Lot, so I take it that a person must pay to park there. -=-Mr Pink slice-=- This is chicken, tomato, and garlic. Rather good and nice and oily. Garlic does a good deal on the flavor. If a non-pepperoni pizza came out this oily, I wonder what would happen if I got an even meatier slice. -=-Garlic Knots-=- 2 knots and a slice was good for me. Knots come with marinara dipping sauce. Garlic Knots are the simplest of flavors, but toss in that sauce and you are in for a Crazy Breadish experience. Bread was soft and garlic was thumping, just how I like it. Now time to bolt outta here before I get hit up.

Great little hole in the wall pizza place. Seating is only outdoors and you can get a variety of pizzas by the slice. Be careful of the garlic knots, as they are addictive.

Grossly overrated pizza. These New York style by way of whatever pop culture wave is hitting the city pizzas overcompensate in name what they lack in taste. Yes, their names and composition are clever, but the sum of all parts do not make for a tasty pizza. Two Boots is adjacent to a bar and consequently has a captive audience. But, even the most inebriated of people with limited senses can surmise that a better alternative lies across the street in the taco stand.

To refer to Two Boots pizza as being overrated is just plain and simple haterism ....or perhaps the person just has no idea what great pizza is supposed to taste like. It's possible. I get it if one is accustomed to eating at the "pizza-pizza" animated cartoon pizza place....or the place named after someone's pops.....or the pizza place named after a game piece. IF so...then Two Boots Pizza isn't for ya. But to give ONE star to Two Boots pizza???!!....I wanna know what's the real issue. Maybe she got dumped over pizza at Two Boots? I can only imagine that maybe the person who talks trash about The BEST PIZZA I've tasted in LA in over 11 years, probably simply had a burnt tongue from sip'n hot soup for lunch the day before? Maybe? Possibly? Cornmeal on the bottom! - N love!

Such great pizza! The themes that go with them are very inspired. Great service and I love the ducked off property it inhabits! Very Hollywood!
