Highly recommend the french toast Matcha is good - they have a large drinks menu so there is something for everyone The place is very busy but they maintain great service. Super efficient

The place has a great atmosphere. There’s a wonderful selection of hot drinks, and the food is fresh and absolutely amazing. The coffee is always tasty, and the service is quick, friendly, and professional. Thank you, Kevin and team! You truly deserve the success of this café because you stand out in every way.

Google
Very delicious food and even greater coffee! They had a good variety of goodies. The server we had unfortunately was not very friendly, maybe just a bad day but the others were quite nice and made up for it.

If you're like me and and partner visiting Dublin, walking 25 minutes away from the main tourist area and you're thinking to yourself "is this worth it?" the answer is yes, yes it is worth it. The place has a great atmosphere as you walk in, there was a great selection of hot drinks, the food is fresh, well presented and absolutely delicious, the staff are friendly and attentive. The pictures don't do it justice.

Two Boys Brew is a nice cafe/brunch spot in Phibsborough. The coffees are lovely and reasonably priced and the food is okay. Would definitely come back for the coffees (especially the matcha!) probably not the food. I got chicken and stuffing toastie and it was a bit dry - the menu said it has garlic aioli but I couldn’t taste it in the toastie. There is one staff who took our order and she was quite impatient and not very friendly. We had only sat down for two minutes when she came to take our order. We said we needed a few more minutes as my dad was in the restroom. A minute later, When he came out he had literally just sat down when she came over again. We felt pressured to order then and there and even though we clearly hadn’t decided yet she stood there waiting until we did order so we felt rushed. When she came back to give us our cutlery she was almost slamming the knives and forks down on the table. The rest of the staff were lovely though and very welcoming. Nice atmosphere inside.

Had the pleasure of dining here this morning. 3 of us. Got delicious almond croissant, flapjack and overnight oats and coffees. Seating outside. Staff were lovely as always, all our food was excellent, plenty of time spent drooling over other people's order, I had their avo toast last time, not to be missed. Will most definitely be back. Thanks so much for lovely morning and no rush to leave the table. Excellent all round.

I have been coming to Two Boys Brew for years and never had an issue till today. I have dietary sensitivities to spices. I made the waiter aware but, it felt like I was being dismissed and told the substitution would take away from the dish. I merely asked to have the avocado toast without hot sauce and if the pepita crunch was spicy. I tend to also prefer my avocado toast or dishes without eggs. These are reasonable questions and it is not appropriate to make someone feel bad for their dietary sensitivity. I have always had the avocado toast here beforehand without hot sauce without issues. There was a particular day I remember they had added extra shoots/salad mix over my avocado toast which was a nice gesture. Today, I was told it would be best to stick with plain toast and sides of hummus, avocado and halloumi. I insisted I would be ok with the avocado toast without hot sauce or mushroom toast without salsa Verde but kept being dismissed and was told there were too many changes and would be better if I ordered the side dishes. I was made to feel like I did not have a choice but to order the side dishes. People with dietary sensitivities still deserve to have food well presented and not made to feel that they are being too difficult. For the price paid, I expected to still have a nice presentation of my food. I received 2 small metal containers where you would place dipping sauces containing avocado and hummus to spread on toast for the same cost as a proper main. Please work on your inclusivity in the future.

Yelp
I come here every time I'm in Dublin. Great coffee and SCRUMPTIOUS food! Eggs are poached to perfection and the composition of flavors in each dish is just a 10/10. Today we came with a baby and they had a great, secure high chair. Don't miss this gem!!!

Yelp
Hitting up a coffee shop was definitely not what I was expecting to do immediately after setting foot in Dublin; but given that my friends are such coffee fiends that they even put me to shame, I didn't have a choice but to hit up one of Dublin's hottest coffee spots as soon as we got off the bus. The space is rather small, as most coffee shops are, and the prices are a bit up there, but all the coffee they make holds its own against some of the best- no Starbucks quality here- and the food is amazing. Speaking of, if you haven't tried their hotcakes slathered with berries, compote, and some of the most decadent whipped cream you've ever tasted, you haven't lived life to the fullest. It was so sweet, it was almost too much for me to finish, but I won't complain about such a delicious sugar rush this early in the morning. If you're not the "dessert for breakfast" type, they also have your typical avocado toast- don't ask me why that's a thing here, too- eggs, breakfast meats, and of course, porridge. Or, if you're not the breakfast type, they do have some bomb-looking pastries available all day, every day, including vegan options. These guys must also be pretty well-established given that they have merch available for purchase, on top of their perishables. And really, the coffee here is amazeballs. If you come for nothing else, come for that.

Yelp
A super cute and cozy cafe in Dublin with healthy food options and beautiful decor. I ate here during my last few days in Dublin and the service was incredible, food left me leaving happy and full. I don't recommend anything specific since everything was pretty good and worth the money!
google avatar

Yelp
Two Boys Brew is my favorite place to go in Dublin for brunch. The hotcakes are incredible (and massive) and the coffee is great. It gets quite busy on weekends, so expect to wait if you go during typical brunch times, but it is definitely worth the wait.

Yelp
Wowsers! No really, two big thumbs up for those guys. I heard about Two Boys Brew on Instagram, the logo on their coffee cups caught my attention. The website doesn't give much away (yet) so I emailed them via Yelp to see whether they do brunch. Within minutes I had reply and a menu to follow. That's how you run a business. The brunch menu is amazing. I found it really hard to choose which had nothing to do with my slight hangover but with the amazing choice they offer. Eventually I opted for the mushroom with spinach, whipped feta and poached eggs on sourdough and my friend had the blueberry & ricotta hotcake which came with plenty of fresh fruit on top. We had flat whites and lattes and we were in heaven.. Service is really friendly and although this place is only open a few weeks, they are already buzzing with a constant stream of people coming in looking for a great cup of brew. Although it's a big enough and open space with plenty seats, it isn't too noisy. You know how you, in plenty places sit almost on top of each other and elbow someone's food off their plate trying to raise your cup? That's not the case here. At all. I went back with my flatmate today for a cup of their guest brew (a roaster from Munich at the moment) and a sweet treat. We sat by the window and just watched people for a while. Life was good! It's not like we don't have any cool coffee places here in Smithfield but they'll definitely be seeing a lot me up there in Phibsboro.

Yelp
After visiting here I'm seriously contemplating moving to Phibsboro. Ok, well maybe that's a little extreme but you get the idea...This place is great!! I had lunch with some friends here today and was really impressed. I'm not overly familiar with this neck of the woods but Two Boys Brew really stood out as being a little different. The decor is minimalist and cool, the staff are lovely and there's a great vibe, really relaxed and welcoming. The menu is varied, with something for everybody. I think a meaty sandwich like a Reuben would really compliment the menu but that's more personal preference as there was plenty to choose from. I opted for the Avocado Mash which is sourdough bread topped with avocado, roasted tomatoes, rocket, feta, poached eggs and lemon. Simply put, it was delicious. I also had a peanut butter cookie sandwich and it was equally amazing, and a really generous size. I'll definitely be heading back here to sample some more of the menu. Not only were the portion sizes really decent, but the food was reasonably priced given the high quality. If you're in the Phibsboro area get yourself down to check this place out. And even if you're not, it's well worth the trip!

Yelp
Enjoyed this wonderful food and ambience! I also liked how much natural light there was inside.

Yelp
Hands down my favourite brunch spot in Dublin! They switch up the menu making slight variations of each dish every so often. I haven't tried anything I didn't like. The coffee is also phenomenal it has such a distinct taste. A highlight always is whatever version of the hot cake they have on the menu, it's amazing! Decor is really cool, but I find the wide benches at the back a bit impractical, you have to sit next to someone if you want to be able to talk. The staff are also really sound. An absolute gem!

Yelp
Sadly I picked the wrong item from the menu but I will drop back for a second go. Very busy location but we were seated quickly. The food is fresh and we'll thought out with an off best selection of breakfast and brunch items. Good coffee and tea.

Yelp
Great good place to grab brunch or a coffee locally but my god this place is jammers so be prepared there might be some wait, it's 15-20 mins wait but they are fast enough to get rid of ppl. We felt a bit pressured into leaving after we had food and wanted to get a second coffee but the staff kind of peer pressured us in asking what else we wanted etc so in the end we decided to leave n go to another coffee place nearby to have another coffee and proper chat. Mind you tho it was a Sunday brunch so ultimately it is very busy ........ still tho... jus saying be prepared... otherwise mgr seems genuine and friendly when we walked in and took our name down on the wait list....

Yelp
Queued 20 minutes for a table and it was worth every second. This is exactly what Phibsboro needed. Excellent coffee culture, amazing food and seriously good vibes. It's a relaxed atmosphere with amazingly friendly staff. I visited on a Sunday afternoon and the brunch menu was perfect, I was spoilt for choice and eventually opted for the avocado mash with poached egg on sourdough topped with roasted tomatoes, rocket and feta, poached eggs and a side of chorizo. It was excellent. I had a flat white and pretzel blondie after and that was even better. Cannot recommend this place more!

Yelp
Great new coffee shop that I find myself detouring to visit. Food is excellent, I had a scone which was very well made, not as easy as you think. I have not tried one of the lunches but They look very good And very popular

Yelp
Very cool new addition to the neighbourhood. Having lived in Smithfield for the last 4 years I had become a bit jaded with the local brunch/breakfast options. Two Boys Brew to the rescue! From the decor to the very attractive kitchen staff this place has it. I've been 3 times over the last 3 weeks and it's never disappointed. The coffee is spot on and the menu interesting and varied. As a lunch choice this cafe also delivers. Delicious, fresh wholesome sambos with gorgeous toppings. All served with wicked salads. Props to the waiting staff as well who are always super friendly and clearly very passionate about this new, slick cafe.

Yelp
Lovely breakfast/brunch. A little bit more expensive than some of it's local competitors, but worth it .

Yelp
Two Boys Brew was right around the corner from the Bed and Breakfast I was staying in. I get up early before breakfast was being served so I went to TBB. I had a latte and was impressed enough to return for Sunday brunch. Excellent food and service, courteous and friendly staff I would highly recommended this place

Yelp
A very welcome addition to a locality sorely - and bizarrely - lacking in decent eateries, this latest culinary addition is definitely a cut above the more standard low-level coffee shops and fast food joints with the exception of the local staple Woodstock, which many would say is through true heart of Phibsborough village. But Two Boys Brew is undoubtedly complementary. In keeping with a hipster-influenced vibe so prominent in the new wave of Dublin cafes, it has an honest and youthful feel about it, in its considered decor and menu. As a layout it feels spacious and airy and the food is fresh and high quality with well thought through combinations and decent veggie choices. Clearly it's an overnight hit as it looks hopping each time I pass, and I finally had lunch there: butternut squash and goats cheese on delicious bread with a side of soup for an extra €2 - hard to argue. Brunch options looks very nice too. I wish them well - they deserve their success. Hopefully their example will be an incentive for others to recognise the appetite locally here for good food along with chilled vibes. An evening tapas/wine bar would be the way to go for the interested entrepreneur - just in case anyone's listening!

Yelp
I've been excited to get a chance to try out this place on my next Dublin visit and dare I say it was totally worth the excitement. Lots of choice, friendly staff and a real fresh vibe for the Dublin coffee and brunch scene. I had the hotcake (must try) and it was delicious. I'll be coming back here.

Yelp
If your senses desire a place on which to rest, then this may be the stop for you. From the time we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and bright eyes, despite the gloomy and chilly weather on the other side of the door. We ordered breakfast, which was quite reasonably priced. The coffee was delightful, the perfect size for an americano. It was warm and had heavy, but soft mouth-feel, sort of like a puffy cloud. The portions of food were large and the food itself was delicious. My eggs were poached to perfection. Overall, I would come back tomorrow and the next day and the day after that. The experience was wonderful!

Yelp
Great atmosphere. Super chill and perfect for a morning stop. Workers are all very kind and helpful. We loved the porridge, scones and particularly their unique raspberry and rosemary jam that is homemade in the cafe.

Fiachra M.

Yelp
My ham hock sandwich was served on what could only be described as stale bread, which is disappointing when it costs €6.95. The ham was extremely salty and the accompanying chutney sickeningly sweet. I also had a medium bowl of pea and wild garlic soup, which contained way too much lemon. The addition of pistachios as an accoutrement was interesting, however, they were not toasted and consequently were quite soft and unpleasant in texture when combined with the soup. I took a pretzel blondie to go as I departed. Again, this was very stale. The texture was like that of a very hard biscuit (think biscotto) rather than something soft and gooey with a crunchy exterior. Very disappointing. Most disconcerting was the dirt all over the floor. Food from previous patrons littered the floor in the vicinity of tables adjacent to me. This is totally unacceptable in my opinion. The décor is very Melbourne, but has an unfinished feel to it. Pricewise, it's high for Phibsboro, especially when items are stale and not really in a sellable condition. I didn't try the coffee (3fe), but as I pass close by on my way to work will do so in the coming days. On the whole, I think that this is a good concept, but lacks attention to detail and is let down in its execution. There are better designed cafés with superior execution in Dublin 7. I wish them well and will return for food in a few months when things have settled.

Yelp
By far some of the best coffee I've seen in dublin with friendly and efficient staff. The house coffee is particularly good and not overly expensive. The look of the place is modern and works well to create a relaxing atmosphere. A nice addition to an area that needed it. Give it a go!

Yelp
Just home from a 3 week trip to Oz where my husband and I fell in love with the coffee culture there. Melbourne especially has such great coffee and cafe's. we are home two days and have had lunch/brunch in Two Boys Brew each day. It's such a great neighbourhood cafe with a great Melbourne coffee shop feel. The staff are so nice and friendly and the menu is simply fantastic. I had the roast chicken and stuffing sandwich on our first visit. It is extremely tasty especially the stuffing that is full of flavour. The roast tomato is a great touch that adds something very tasty to the sandwich. For our second visit I went with scrambled eggs and tomato relish. I was seriously blown away by the quality of the ingredients. I ate a lot of eggs in Melbourne and Sydney and I must admit that the eggs from Two Boys Brew were by far the best. My compliments to the chef who is very talented. I have a feeling that this is going to be a place that I'm going to visit a lot. The coffee is from 3fe which is a nice touch. It's really nice. I may also be a convert for avacado smash and roast which is fresh, clean and tasty. I reckon everything on the menu is going to be great and I'll enjoy trying everything. The deserts are next on my list. They look incredible. Dublin definitely needs more places like this. I am delighted that it's on my door step. Best of luck guys.

Pia Z.

Yelp
Best coffee in Phibsborough, and they serve great Brunch as well. The Avocado Mash is to die for! The atmosphere is crafty and busy, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Be prepared to wait a few minutes when you come on the weekend for brunch, as the place is usually packed. A must-try for coffee lovers!

Catherine H.

Yelp
Excellent food, great value, fairly friendly service in a modern environment. Although I didn't notice it on the menu you can have your eggs cooked to your liking (not just poached as indicated on the menu).

Cameron C.

Yelp
TL;DR: THE PERFECT AMERICANO I pretty much only review for an exceptional experience, so it's telling that Two Boys Brew had me on my phone writing this review before I'd even finished my cup. Rich, full coffee, beautiful color and just the right amount of water. And (I know this sounds silly, but) served in the correct size cup. Lots of places will give you a decent enough coffee, but served in a huge mug -- makes my stupid lizard brain feel like I'm getting ripped off. TBB's americano is all-around respectable. Basically, I am enjoying the hell out of this coffee right now. Was given cream, but why mess with perfection? I also got a scone, which was very nice. Lovely space (open, clean, airy) and amenable to studying/working. Just be mindful of the fact that it's pretty busy. I plan to stay as long as I possibly can.

Yelp
New to area and close to work area food never fails to deliver. Only problem is getting yourself a table cos it's so popular. The staff are cheery and relaxed and the food is wholesome tasty and always hits the spot what's not to love

Steve T.

Yelp
Great place for breakfast- porridge plus toppings are wonderful and the coffee choices are really good

Ashley D.

Yelp
A great warm and cozy spot to start off our cold day. The avo mash with smoked salmon is a must!! The baked goods looked delicious as well but we were so full from our brunch we couldn't splurge.

Anne F.

Yelp
I went to this place for the first time this week at 3.15pm. I heard great things and was looking forward to trying it. It is a bit out of my way but heard it was worth it. When i got there I was told that they 'ran out of food and were only doing coffees'. This was on a Tuesday so it wasn't a hectic weekend which i would have understood. I was extremely disappointed to say the least...

Niamh O.

Yelp
Seriously delicious coffee and food. Great choice on the menu, lovely staff and the space is really cool. We had the ricotta cakes and the avocado mash, both were full of flavour and taste. Coming from San Francisco, we felt like we were right back in California.

Lesley-Ann P.

Yelp
Coming from a hospitality background, it really is such a treat when you come across somewhere like Two Boys Brew. They really know what they're doing and the attention to detail is second to none. It's tricky to tick all the boxes in the cafe scene but they certainly achieve it. Would go here everyday if I could. Wishing them all the success!

Yelp
We were visiting Dublin and on the day of our flight back home to the USA, we wanted to catch breakfast on our way to the airport and googled this place. This is a world class cafe, great ambience, awesome coffee, knowledgeable staff. We were pleasantly surprised. We're also surprised that this wasn't on the top of Google searches.

Lorrainne L.

Yelp
Visiting Dublin for weekend, this is a fab place and not to be missed, by far the best coffee I've tasted with friendly and efficient staff, all food is made on the premises and the peanut butter cookies dipped in chocolate are not be missed. Prices are good and the place has a great vibe, modern and works well to create a relaxing atmosphere. I will deffinitely be visiting on my next stay in Dublin ....Many thanks, Lorrainne Loudon, Kent UK
