Just rented a month. Had 2 to choose from, 1st in front of pool, and the 2nd on 1st floor near the bar. I picked the bar 😎 The real difference was the balcony. Not big but my size. Mini refrigerator, weekly cleaning, 24 hr, privacy, set 50m from the river road. Nice pool and plenty of parking.

We have been here for 2 months now and it's great. Rooms are well equipped with fridge and air con. I believe previous reviews must be from old management as it's great. The pool and bar are an added bonus in a town where most rooms are hostels. The are lots of TV channels also so really a great choice. English speaking management too is also a bonus.

The pictures on their own web site look very good, but after booking I read some other reviews that prepared us for the reality. ||||The hotel is quite new and well designed but is basically badly managed and run. ||There were very few guests when we were there and little sign of anyone really being in charge. The pool area is nice but run down. The loungers are either torn or have no umbrellas. The pool seemed ok. It was quite cloudy but seemed clean enough when swimming. Our condo room was a mix of good and bad. The bed was comfortable, the air con worked well and the television had many channels and good reception, and the shower was hot. It was not the cleanest and seemed quite basic and dingy. Fortunately our room was in the back of the hotel facing away from the loud music coming from the entertainment area by the riverfront. ||Instead of staying in the hotel and relaxing and reading we slept, swam and went into Kampot. ||The person who seemed to be in charge was quite helpful and they did not charge us for the third night we had booked when my daughter got sick ( nothing to do with the hotel) and we had to return to Phnom Penh. ||It is a real shame that the hotel is so badly managed as it has a lot of potential, but has just lost the plot.||There are so many better places to stay, so I would definitely not recommend the Two Moons Resort.

Almost everything was excellent about this hotel. A special thank you to Rahim, One Shot, and Smile, some of the super friendly and helpful staff. Rahim taught me a bunch of Cambodian phrases/words which he encouraged me to practice during our stay. We enjoyed a few drinks with One Shot who made us feel like friends. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. There were a few deficiencies (loose tap, and burnt out light bulb) which we only told reception about when we checked out as they didn’t detract from our stay. Fair warning though – the in-room safe is a large box on wheels under the bed. The pool was clean and refreshing and had plenty of loungers to relax in. Breakfast was average but inexpensive and the coffee was best we had in Cambodian hotel. Location was just across the street from the river and waterfront walkway and felt very safe to walk around even at night. Not far from the main part of town. We booked a few tours through the hotel and they were excellent. Orchid Tour up to Bokor Mountain was well worth the $13 USD per person and the tour guide Tuen was excellent. Note: book the Crab Boat to Kep well in advance if that is something you are interested in as they were sold out for several days so we had to take a tuk tuk instead.

Couldn't have picked a better hotel. Great location and the facilities are good and well laid out. The staff went out of their way to make our stay as welcome and hassle free as possible. Won't hesitate to stay again next time in Kampot.

The pool area is fantastic on a sunny day. We had a 6 bed dorm to ourselves which was nice. Only issue is the room was full of mosquitoes and no nets being provided on the bunk beds. I would recommend paying a little bit more for a room in the main hotel to avoid this. WiFi was good and the location is near most of the restaurants and bars without being too noisy.

Fantastic stay. After exploring the city a bit we came across this hotel. Not seeing many reviews for The moon boutique I was nervous. (Later found out it used to be called Two Moons Hotel). The owner of the hotel met us at the front and was extremely polite, letting us check the rooms before agreeing to stay.||||We stayed in 2 rooms in the bungalow side which were nice. You can hear the noise from the street but it didn't bother us. The rooms are extremly clean and the hotel is working on more renovations as they said they plan to have a spa by October. ||||Highly recommend this hotel, was cheaper than one nearby we were originally going to stay as well.

The rooms were roomy and each had a good view of the pool. The pool was nice. This hotel is an easy walk to the river and the town where there are restaurants and places to eat. Service at the hotel was poor. It took a long time to provide the simplest of snacks/food so we never ate there. The laundry service was also unhelpful so we took our laundry into town.
