Why are you not already eating there! The apple Pie pancakes were the best thing EVER! The green giant omelet was amazing with completely fresh ingredients! We are visitors from the south, and were impressed they put biscuits and gravy on the menu. It did not disappoint! These ladies need to make this a chain and head down to Memphis! RUN to get this breakfast!

I had the Lingucia scramble but asked for the over easy eggs instead of scrambled and I got the pistachio homemade bread. The lingucia was nice and crispy. The pistachio bread stole the show! It was so moist and hearthy, I would eat the whole loaf! The place is small and quiet with rustic live edge tables and the lady who was working was very friendly. Service was quick even though she was the only waitress on a Sunday morning !

What a find, super quaint little shop in the heart of Gloucester with the most delicious crab cake Benedict and tasty biscuits & gravy. Service friendly & welcoming. Good coffee

We arrived while it was raining. We were a bigger party, but they had a table half could sit at. Instead we were sent to wait outside. When both tables appeared to be available we came back in but were told they were not ready. As soon as the door shut we were waved in. We were asked if we wanted coffee and we said no. The lady then proceeded to say she needed to know so we said no again. One person from our group brought in closed drinks. We were told they had to be removed from the restaurant. When we received our food they forgot one of the meals. We waited to make sure they were not brining out more and nicely let them know. The lady told the other lady that worked there and she rudely said she gave us everything. Then when they realized they missed an order they quickly threw it together. They only put 2 potatoes on the plate while every other plate had a pile. They brought the wrong bread and then brought some bread I have no idea on what it was. The oatmeal was extremely dry. Pancakes were edible. Bagels were good.

We have traveled 3000 miles in the past five days, hands down this was one of the best places we ate. The shop has a huge hometown vibe and if you're wanting to experience what being local and how the community takes care of each other, then this is the place to come. The food was great, nice and fresh and fast. Wish we lived closer because we would be here often!

Google
I am appalled at how racism is still around in 2024. My family and I traveled a long way to visit Salem. When we walked in we were greeted with dirty looks and bad attitude. Customer service is not their forte. I don’t understand how this place has more than one star. We were told to wait outside when there was a table where our party could sit. We can happily take our business elsewhere.

Google
Best pancakes I've ever had, and I travel all over the US. Coffee pairs with biscuits and gravy perfectly, and the location is really charming.

Google
Unaccommodating and disgusting attitudes. The servers working today at 10 to be exact, need to be retrained . These 2 ladies will be the cause of the downfall of this restaurant . Such a shame my family and I were really excited to try to this place as it has good food reviews but we couldn’t even make it past seating.

Yelp
We loved this diner! It was simple, the food was delicious, and the service was great! Our kiddo and my husband got the EBC bagel melt, and it was delicious. You could tell the bagel wasn't a store bought/commercial bagel; it was homemade! HUGE bagel/sandwich, and plenty of bacon! Hit the spot! I got the schooner omelette, and again, nice and simple but filling and delicious. I really liked their potatoes! I think they're home fries, but they're more like perfectly seasoned griddle potatoes, and I could have eaten those all day! Top of it with a nice cup of coffee, and I can see why there were so many regulars there! All of their bread is homemade, so it is definitely worth trying a few different ones! Plenty of options for breakfast! Definitely would go back!

Yelp
This is a little local gem downtown with delicious food. They make efforts to keep the tables moving so you don't have to wait too long. My husband and I ordered a waffle to share and then two different egg dishes. The waffle took a really long time to come out - almost 40 minutes. We were really hungry and after waiting for a table, waiting for the waffle was rough - especially when I could see into the kitchen where staff members were eating and snacking away. In general the service was slow and not super warm, so that was the low point of our visit. The inside is cute and comfortable with funny signs ("you don't have to be crazy to work here, we'll train you") and even a little TV perhaps to show a game or news (nice kind of laid back diner vibe). Food specifics: - waffle with strawberries: disappointing! the one waffle had a really claggy texture. wish it had been more light and a little crispy on the outside. came with a mix of fresh and sauced strawberries. for $11 and the long wait, it didn't feel like a good deal. - fish cake eggs benedict: WOW. this completely blew me away. the homemade fish cakes were soooo light and delicate. not a super fishy flavor - just fresh and yummy. the eggs were also poached to perfection - cooked whites with a runny yolk. the potatoes were nice and soft with good seasoning. - scrambled eggs with toast, home fries, and crab cakes (special): again, the seafood cakes took the cake! fresh crab with a surprising and delicious mix of green pepper and some kind of chipotle/smoky spicing? the toast was hearty as well. In general, I'd love to come back and eat more of their delicious food. If I lived nearby I'd come often enough for the staff to know me so they would be more attentive :)

Yelp
Food and service was great! Place was full of regulars. As an out of town visitor, I enjoy eating at the favorite place for locals. We were there at opening, got to talk to a guy who has been going there almost everyday for 20 years. Server had his table set with drinks before opening the door for the day. My kids had pancakes, biscuits and gravy all very good. Myself and my spouse had the crab cake special and it was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had.

Gregory G.

Yelp
The sausage gravy & biscuits (with eggs) was perfection. Service was friendly and food came out fast.

Mark H.

Yelp
4 of us stopped in the morning after a long day of deep sea fishing. We got lucky to walk in and get a table, there was a line of people waiting afterwards. Inside is small with about 5 tables and 10 bar seats, hence the wait. The reason for the wait is mostly because the food is that good and all homemade, even all the breads (white, multigrain, marble rye, anadama, raisin, Portuguese, pistachio, wheat). Needless to say, if you can get a seat, grab it (make sure you ask first) it's well worth it.

Heather D.

Yelp
Food was amazing!! Boyfriend had the crab cakes Benedict with spicy hollandaise, he legitimately cleared his plate. I had the peach cobbler French toast, while I tried to clear mine, alas I failed because of the generous portion! Service was prompt and friendly, small local joint, so you might be waiting a few minutes to get a seat, but it is well worth it!

Yelp
Walked into a basically empty restaurant an hour and a half before closing. The room is very crowded with large tables. The woman behind the counter had her back to us so we said hello. She continued to ignore us so we tentatively took an empty table. Meanwhile, a single woman walked in and began to sit down at another (empty) table, only to be told by the woman that she had to sit at the counter- that that was her rule. Talk about being rude and unwelcoming. She still hadn't acknowledged us. We got up and left for friendlier pastures.

Andy F.

Yelp
Don't arrive at 5 min to 11am on a Monday. "Sorry we're closed" was the greeting after driving a distance to get there. They still had a packed dining room with people being served. Can't take one more 10 min before your closing? "Sorry we're closed" was the response

Debra B.

Yelp
This was a great find! Extensive menu, excellent food served piping hot! They make all of their own breads. Casual atmosphere. Staff was so welcoming and warm; gave us great suggestions about what to do and see in Gloucester in addition to delicious breakfast! Highly recommend!

Joan C.

Yelp
Our favorite breakfast place!! Great food, pleasant staff and very clean. We look forward to eating here every time we are in Gloucester.

Yelp
Doesn't look like much and given the 4.5 star Yelp average, I was surprised there was no line at about 10 a.m. on a July Saturday. Antyime I am in New England, I go with corned beef hash- in this case the Irish Benedict. La Portena plumped for the fish cakes and eggs, substituting tomatoes for the potatoes. The Irish Benedict was about as good as the dish can be - the eggs perfectly cooked, the corned beef seemed home made, the potatoes crisp outside, creamy in the middle. The home made bread tasted like one I used to make from a Bob's Red Mill recipe, just a little bit sweet. La Portena was pretty enthusiastic about her plate as well, although she would later claim the fish cakes at Atlantis Oceanfront were better. She did rave about the taste of the tomatoes - ingredient quality is high at the Sisters. An iced coffee was the only item that did not impress. Service was very good, and breakfasts arrived on time. You can tell they really care about their product.

Yelp
My husband and myself went to Gloucester for our anniversary and found Two Sisters Coffee Shop. It is such a quaint place. They have great food and were so helpful in telling us what was going on in Gloucester. The owner is so friendly and gave me some of her pistachio bread to try with my breakfast. It was amazing and when I asked if she sold it by the loaf she came out and handed me a small loaf to go home with and said Happy Anniversary. Hands down the best place to get breakfast

Mark L.

Yelp
I ordered a breakfast for the first time it was the best ive had in gloucester hands down i couldnt even finish my meal i recommend them to anyone looking for a great meal at an awsome prise

Yelp
There is a reason why this place has a ton of high reviews. It's a small establishment in town off the main road. You walk in and are greeted by local pictures and decorations. Love the hat holders! (See picture) What I am assuming is one of the owners was telling my cousin and I about how for halloween she wants do decorate as if they were climbing out of spider webs. All the tables were full but a local gentleman was kind enough to move to another table with another local gentleman to free up the table for us. The food came out quick and words cannot honestly describe how wonderful of a bite the first bite was with mine. I went with the raspberry stuffed french toast and the filling is out of this world! The homemade Portuguese bread is a perfect cut and equally as good as the filling if not better. Cousin ordered the Irish Eggs Benedict which I never have had before, had a small bite and would definitely give a try for a meal in the future. As for the portion size it was just the right amount. And with how quick the food came out I can imagine the table turnover is not that long unless you get lingering parties. I am sure this town is full of good local spots judging by today's experience. If you are new to town or just driving through and looking for a quick bite, take my word for it and make this your first stop.

Yelp
This small coffee shop is a gem in the community of Gloucester! The owner is a fabulous hostess. She offered our grandson toys to occupy his time. The menu is extensive with many combinations of 11 homemade bread varieties and the most delicious and light and fluffy pancakes. The menu was such that you wanted to try 1 of everything! We have made this our breakfast strip before visiting Gloucester or sailing on the 7 Seas Whale watch boat.

Yelp
Great little local restaurant in this beautiful seaside town. Wonderful food withe great service. A good selection of dishes. I had the corned beef hash with cucina sausage and English muffin. It was wonderful.

Dena K.

Yelp
The best breakfast lovely staff. The eggs Benedict was amazing. I had a tomato cheese omelette, the eggs were so fluffy and fresh. The coffee is amazing I love this place, never disappoints.

Gabrielle O.

Yelp
Excellent breakfast! Came here with my sister and it was her highlight of our vacation in the area!

Alison S.

Yelp
Hole in the wall, local haunt. Simple, but delicious breakfast. No bougie espresso drinks or extravagant meal options. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves

Elisa S.

Yelp
Two Sisters is a Gloucester CLASSIC and one of my family's all time favorites. -Cozy and welcoming -Amazing homemade breads (try the Anadama!) -Linguica sausage -All of the breakfast staples you'd ever want and need New owners are wonderful, but also a shoutout to Patty and her Micky Mouse pancakes from back in the day. I've been going for as long as I can remember and will keep coming back for years to come.

Jeffrey A.

Yelp
Great Omelettes, good people and love hearing stories about what's happening in Gloucester. A great local breakfast joint

Nicole L.

Yelp
Amazing food- when you go to a diner you expect mediocre food but this place blows it out of the water. Such friendly girls here, clean, fresh veggies, nice facilities.. I can't say enough!!! Please consider the Two Sisters Coffee Shop when in Gloucester!

Tim W.

Yelp
This is a special place! It felt like we were having breakfast at my Grandma's house. The food and service was wicked great!

Lynne N.

Yelp
Awesome place, both service and food OUTSTANDING! Clean, mask wearing and socially distant too:) Highly recommend Two Sistets

Tanya S.

Yelp
So tasty! We visited for a Thursday breakfast, wasn't too busy but I can see how it can fill up. Seat yourself approach. Very friendly. Delicious breakfast fare, great coffee, and gluten free options. I got a cheese melt on a gluten free english muffin and it was super good! Potatoes were cooked wonderfully. My partner got blueberry pancakes and loved them. Cash only.

Barry F.

Yelp
Great breakfast spot. Really run by two sisters. Friendly place with delicious breakfast.

M. O.

Yelp
They slammed the door on my brown child's face as we were entering. The place was nowhere near closing time by the way. They let white people in right after us. I wanted to cry at how disgusted I was, I wish I had recorded it.

Georgie M.

Yelp
Fantastic breakfast, friendly staff ready with suggestions who will joke with you if you don't order the specials . Didn't rush us and the food was quality.

Melanie A.

Yelp
My daughter and I stopped by and got a iced Vanilla Latte. It took the young lady less than 2 minutes to prepare and was grossly sweet. very little ice and no taste of actual coffee. Very disappointing for spending almost $6 on a cup of coffee. The wasn't the first time we've had a poor experience and really want to support local business but this will be the last. Hello Starbucks!

David A.

Yelp
Stopped in on Sunday morning for some takeout breakfast sandwiches. Interior is small but cozy. The owners/staff super friendly - they ended up showing us some dog pix on their phone while we were waiting. Super nice. Food was fast and good - exactly what we were looking for to take out and sit in front of the ocean on a bench (you know...near that iconic Gloucester-man mariner statue that looks out to sea while leaning on the wheel....) with our dog and have a relaxing breakfast. Would definitely be back and do it again!

Tara W.

Yelp
Fresh, fast, friendly, & deelish - perfect quick morning stop before a day at the beach!

Heather T.

Yelp
Cranberry pancakes and homefries...yum!!! Best pancakes ever. I also ventured into trying a Portuguese sausage, it was really good!

Craig C.

Yelp
We stopped in Sunday after a stay in Lockport, Ma. I got the Irish Benedict and it was delicious. My girlfriend got the French toast and loved it. Service was fine and all in all meal went nice... Nice spot to check out if in the area.

Gerard K.

Yelp
Love the sisters what a great place and awesome breakfast, I go there 2 times a week ,I'd go more but I'm only up on cape Ann for the summer & early fall , you won't be let down 5 thumbs up 5 star place to dine

Mark G.

Yelp
Absolutely the best breakfast I have ever had! People we so nice and friendly. I would highly recommend the place. It's great!

Matt T.

Yelp
I've been a life long resident of Gloucester and I've just recently discovered this place! By far the best breakfast in Gloucester!!

Jana H.

Yelp
Wow. Fantastic breakfast. Had the fam visiting from out of town, took them on a drive up to Good Harbor Beach and decided to grab breakfast in Gloucester. Decided on Two Sisters based on the yelp rating. We all ordered the French Toast Combo, and we ordered a side of the fish cakes, to be adventurous (we all had never had them). French toast was some of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend. Potatoes and Sausage were tasty. Eggs were just okay. Fish cakes ended up being the surprise hit. Super tasty and would definitely order them next time I'm in there. Overall, delicious breakfast.

Tiffany L.

Yelp
We stopped here before going on a whale watch, the staff was amazing and so was the food! They knew we had a time limit as we had to make it back to the boat and they were great about it!

Vic D.

Yelp
This is the perfect place for the solitary traveler. If you arrive before 8am you'll see the single server give sass to all the regulars who give it right back. Fun and feisty. Great for people watching. If there's a fee seat at a table - ask - they'll likely let you join them. Food is out of this world amazing. Had the build your own omelet with white American cheese, mushrooms, asparagus, and spinach. Wowsa. Rye toast was very light and very flavorful. Coffee was just diner coffee. Potatoes were perfect. BIG thumbs up.

Kathy G.

Yelp
Great food, Great service!! The breakfast was absolutely perfect! We had the Irish Eggs Benedict and a spinach, feta, tomato omelette with their homemade rye bread and was one of the best breakfasts I've had when visiting the area over the years! It's family style charm was perfect, loved that the locals were there and were so friendly too!! Definitely would recommend and go again!

Andrea T.

Yelp
Horrible service. Owner was awful!!! Yelled at me when I asked about my food when the rest of the table got there's. Very disrespectful. Does not know how to serve food in a respectful manner. Should not be allowed to run a business. Very disappointed!!!!

Jennifer E.

Yelp
Average menu. Nothing overly exciting except whatever specials they are offering. The do have a large selection of breads to choose from. The two cooks came over and sat down at the table with me to admire my daughter. They both made me a little uncomfortable saying weird things and touching my kid. I probably won't be back. The biscuits and gravy were pretty bland. Pancakes were good.

Victoria K.

Yelp
Food here was amazing!! Everything was fresh, made well, and extremely delicious. Place was super clean too, best diner I've been to! The people who work here are also so friendly, all around great place!!

Marcy F.

Yelp
Delicious food, generous portions, fast and friendly service! My taste buds and my tummy were satisfied.

Marc L.

Yelp
Ate breakfast here with three business colleagues. One had oatmeal, one had eggs/bacon, two of us had omelets, and I had fish cakes. Everything really good. Great service, friendly. True New England experience. Place is clean. Doesn't get much better than this. Why can't all places be like this? No fuss, just really good food. As others have noted, this is cash only business, so don't bother with your credit cards.

YeeNing P.

Yelp
Small space but excellent food. The best corn beef hash and fish cakes ever I've ever had in my life. Looks like a place frequented by the locals.

Michelle T.

Yelp
We bellied up to the counter looking for local takeout breakfast sandwiches to take with us on a Whale Watch and we're not disappointed! They even came with breakfast potatoes and everything we needed to enjoy them! (They didn't need ketchup they were so good!) The owner, I believe, joked around sarcastically with our boys and they loved it! The waitress was busy and attentive. Our order was correct and delicious! We enjoyed coffee while we waited and then she refilled us in to go cups!

Judy F.

Yelp
We checked it out due to its great yelp review. Food was mediocre, but the server had a bad attitude and was very impatient. Came to us right after she brought us the menu and expected we to place our order before we even took a look at it. Same thing happened at the end towards our meal. Brought us the check before we finish, while there's no one waiting in line. Regret dining in and hope we had brought our money somewhere else.

Judith M.

Yelp
GET THE HOME MADE BREAD great food, awesome vibe. unbelievable deal.
