If I could I would honestly leave zero stars. Myself, a friend and mum have left today after staying there for two nights. I booked it because online it looks very clean and well priced. Unfortunately we were all horrified when we got there at the state of the rooms. They were unclean, and thick dust everywhere. I had to buy cleaning wipes to actually clean things before using them. I would usually stay in a travel lodge etc but I thought I would support an independently owned business, but honestly it was awful. The shower in my ensuit did not work, it just ran cold. My mum used to communal bathroom which was also filthy and not stocked (no toilet paper or hand wash) when she asked the “housekeeper” if you can call him that considering the state of the place, he just shrugged it off with no apology. She was made to feel like she was in the wrong for asking for the bare minimum. I do not recommend this place. I now intend to bathe in bleach to feel clean after that experience.

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting Cardiff. We felt so welcomed and safe staying here and got some great recommendations for our road trip through Wales. I would recommend to all of my LGBT friends and family. Plus there are two very cute and very fluffy cats!!!!!

I only give 5 stars because I can't give more, very cozy place. room with bathroom, with basic equipment. there was even an iron and a hair dryer, for me a plus. additionally coffee, tea in the room. I came there for a hockey match and I was very pleased with the visit. I recommend with all my heart. service very nice. free parking on the street, the area is very quiet and the city is very interesting.

The people were so nice and welcoming. The bedroom for one person was very small but I got used to it. There is only one bathroom for at least 4 rooms. If you are ok with a shared bathroom, I recommend this hotel.

Perhaps it's a bit unfair to leave a 5 star review 11 years later, but I just thought about how much of an impact staying here made on my whole experience visiting Cardiff and Wales, and I wanted to chime in. When I think of visiting Wales, this is the first place I think of - how we were welcomed with hot tea and stroopwafel, the amazing meals they made for us, and how overall hospitable and wonderful our experience was. Maybe one day I will get the chance to visit them again, but for now this place lives in my memory as one of the most amazing places I have ever stayed anywhere.

When you've waited at the airport for 3 hours, sat through a 9.5 hour flight, walked 2 miles to the train station, rode the train for almost 3 hours and then walked another 20 minutes to your B&B dragging your suitcase behind you, you really really need a place you can rest, recuperate, and get a good night's sleep. This is not that place.||Ty Rosa looks like a lovely place to stay, and it apparently was at one time. Their online presence paints a picture of an attractive, comfortable place to stay with friendly and attentive hosts. What we found was a cramped space badly in need of repairs, a bed that was so hard it hurt to sleep on, noisy surroundings due to people coming and going and climbing the stairs, and a host that couldn't be bothered to see us at all - we only met him by chance when we were leaving. When we arrived, he had taped an envelope to the door with the key to our room. There is no breakfast. He just recommends you walk to a nearby restaurant. Our room was so small that if one person was standing by the bed and the other wanted to get to the toilet, the first person would need to walk away and stand by the door so the other person could walk past the bed and access the toilet.||I might add, the neighborhood is not so great. Many of the houses have junk and garbage cluttering up their front gardens. It's about a 40 minute walk to the city center, so you're not paying for location. ||We were going to stay for two more nights, but we cancelled that and stayed at the Travelodge instead. For the same price, we were right there at the train station, close to the restaurants downtown, and had a comfortable bed. If only we'd done that to start with.

Booked the room for 2 nights. The neighborhood was horrible. The sidewalks were in horrible conditions, the other houses were run down and trash was everywhere on the streets. The place itself was pretty run down. With a dangerously ill fitting carpet on the stairs. The room was dirty and I don't wanna talk about the bathroom. There was no check in, because the manager had to do something somewhere else. My key was in a envelope outside the house. Booked immediately another hotel in Cardiff and left. I Don't recommend it.
