I rarely write reviews, but our experience at Treylor Park was so disappointing, I felt compelled to share it. From the start, we were told the wait would be 30 minutes to 1 hour, and while we were told it could be sooner, they didn't want to overpromise. We appreciated that honesty, so we grabbed a few overpriced drinks at the bar and waited--except our wait turned into 1.5-2 hours.
We were a group of 8, so we tried to keep an open mind. It was a nice day, so we patiently waited, but after finally being seated, things only got worse. Our drinks took another 20 minutes to arrive, and then the waitress came out to let us know that the kitchen was behind and that we should expect at least another hour for our food. At this point, several tables around us were empty, which made it even more frustrating. Our waitress told us that people who ordered at 12pm (it was now 2pm) were just getting their appetizers.
We felt completely misled--if they had been upfront about the wait time, we could've made a better decision about where to go. We were starving and frustrated, so we ended up leaving and heading over to StingRays just across the street, where we were seated and served promptly.
Treylor Park might look like a cool spot, but I won't be returning after this experience. Service matters, and unfortunately, this experience was a letdown in every way.
