Yelp
If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. I haven't been this excited in a while to do a review on a restaurant, but this place definitely impressed me on many levels!
I love my pizza, so I was hoping this places ratings were just a bunch of words. When I came in, the place was very small inside and there is only outside seating. I was immediately greeted by a worker and he took my order. I ordered a Small Summer Garden pizza which has onions, green peppers, sweet corn kernels, and tomato, but I added spinach and basil. I also had the option of choosing a pizza cheese base. Since I'm lactose intolerant, I chose a low lactose cheese base, which was fresh Parmesan. Then it also had homemade red sauce.
As I waited for my pizza, I notice they had fresh whole milk, chocolate and strawberry milk by the glass gallon for sale. I also noted they had a small selection of FRESH in-house pastries and bread loaf for sale, my favorite being sourdough! One other customer waiting for food suggested I try a homemade chocolate croissant, which I can try before I purchase it. I also noticed that this small pizzaria is involved with the community as I read their thank you notes from several school and churches in the community thanking them for donating their goods.
It was about 20 minutes and my "small" pizza was ready. For under $10, I was able to purchase an 8 slice specialty, customized pizza!! This pizza is what I call true food artistry, or food porn to be blunt. Who would've thought to put fresh corn on a pizza?? This is definitely the nicest, most colorful pizza I've ever purchased. I complimented the worker and he thanked me. He also proceeded to tell me if the pizza wasn't to my complete satisfaction he would gladly take it back to fix it. I was amazed.
I inquired about the chocolate croissant and the worker proceeded to grab the croissant and slice me a good sized chunk of the croissant to try. Once I bit into it, the chocolate filling literally melted into my mouth. The bread was so fluffy. Once I told him I wanted to purchase it ($2), he was going to give me a whole new one. I couldn't bear to think the one I bit into would go to waste, so I took the rest of the one he sliced into, which still left A LOT left.
Overall, this place won over my stomach and my heart. This pizza was FRESH, light, and flavorful and amazingly AFFORDABLE! Thank for you being an amazing, delicious, philanthropic restaurant
