I contacted Type High Letterpress a few years ago about creating a poster for a full reading (6+ hours) of Dante's Inferno. Tony Zanni designed a stunning poster that was both playful and alluring. People in our community have held onto the poster as an artistic keepsake. Then, a year later, I asked Tony if he could do something similar for Dante's Purgatorio. Once again, he delivered beautifully, with a new color scheme and a design that captured the text beautifully. Another year passed, and it was time to complete the triptych. This time, Tony designed the poster for the complete reading of Dante's Paradiso. Who's to say, but it may be his masterpiece! It's a gorgeous piece of work that, impossibly, visualizes an impossible poem. People all around Old Lyme, CT now have Tony's work framed and hanging on their walls. Consider this, Google readers: Letterpress art is one of the coolest expressions of creativity (and publicity) that we have, and Tony Zanni is a master of the form. Type High Letterpress is a jewel in the world of design and publicity. It is a business worth seeking out, and supporting. Dante enthusiasts in Old Lyme couldn't be more fortunate to have found Tony, and Type High!
