The location of the guest house is excellent. The bus station is at walking distance. All facilities like atm, supermarket and eateries are within 5-7 mins walking distance. The Mahebourg waterfront is 10.mins walk. It is near the bus station. The bus to blue bay is just 30 MRU. The hostess is a very good person. They provide excellent services. Their guest house has everything that we need. The amenities are well thought with respect to need of the guests. Its a home away from home. The only problem i found was the bathroom was congested. It has a very narrow step which can be slippery and easily missed. The shower railing is too low and it hurt my husband's head. Overall, it is a very good option for a stay. The airport is just 10-15 mins by cab(600MRU). We took a bus at 7am which cost us just 30 MRU.

For the price it's nice. Peoples was kind, the bus stop is nearby, shower is hot and private. Perfect for backpackers and travelers. Good breakfast too.

Spent 6 nights there, had everything that you could possibly want. Not new but all very clean and serviceable. Enjoyed the rooftop breakfast each morning. Staff courteous and helpful. Restaurants are good the big supermarket nearer the foreshore excellent. For the price excellent

This is definitely a budget hotel but the rooms are clean and there is a fantastic view on the roof. The owner/manager is a very friendly fellow though I suppose he can come over as a bit grumpy, however he is actually very helpful and got up early to cook me breakfast and drop me to the hotel. Mahebourg looks very rustic and there are few good restaurants around to get local and economical food. I was in transit unfortunately but would love to go back again sometime to expose. Would certainly stay there again. Very close to the airport.

We arrived early in the day (9am) after a long flight, wondering if we should have booked the previous night in order to get into our room straight away - we needn't have worried! After sitting us down with a complimentary drink we were shown straight up to a spacious room - no view to speak of from the room, but a wonderful 360 degree panorama from the terrace. Good breakfast served upstairs in a breezy but covered area.||Excellent location with easy walking to all amenities. Helpful and friendly hosts who organised car hire and good advice for all we needed to make our stay very enjoyable. The fact that we changed our plans in order to return tells its own story.

Since at this budget we had stayed in Flic-en-Flac at very nice hotel, so are rating this property to be average. Although this property is in the market area and is very close to the Mahebourg bus station, which is very big plus. The limited breakfast and too much small latrine in the room is big negative. Non white color towel or bed sheet could not give clear impression of cleanliness. Wifi was good, the owner lady was very polite and helpful. Museum and biscuit factory are two major attractions which a person can walk down to. The sea shore walking area, the temples there and the vegetable market very also very nearby. In this area, as there are not many good accommodations, hence this is recommended.

Close to the market, the shops and even ATMs, Tyvabro has a lovely team that will provide you with anything you need and with a heartwarming smile ! Clean sheets, A/C, breakfast... For the price, it's the perfect motel to spend the night in while visiting around Mahébourg !

We wanted bids on a transfer from Mahebourg to Grand Baie and had read good reviews on TripAdvisor about the owners of Tyvabro also having a taxi service. We dropped by Tyvavro guesthouse and met John, who gave us the what turned out to be the winning bid. While we were there he took us on a tour of his clean well organized looking hostelry. The roof top terrace was especially nice with it's fabulous views of beautiful Mauritius mountains! John shared that he is in the process of constructing a special couples room up there on the roof as well as well. Two days later the transfer was everything we had hoped for: on time, safe, reasonably priced and interesting. (John also conducts private island tours.) Polite , industrious guy would recommend him for tours or trasnfers.
