Tzu Chi Foundation Taiwan Hualien

As the heart of Tzu Chi in Hualien, Jing Si Hall is a must-visit. From the outside, it looks quite modest, but step inside, and you’ll be amazed by the rich history and accomplishments of Tzu Chi. Visitors are required to remove their shoes, place them in a bag, and carry them while exploring the hall. The exhibits showcase Tzu Chi’s incredible journey from its humble beginnings to its remarkable achievements, as well as its contributions to the world. The scale of the auditorium is absolutely stunning and leaves a deep impression. If you haven’t visited Jing Si Hall, you can’t truly say you understand Tzu Chi. Highly recommended for anyone interested in learning about this incredible organization.

We went here on a wet day in Hualien and have never been so thankful for rain on holiday! We were led around the centre by two English speaking guides (though phoning ahead may help!). Tzu Chi is fantastic, eye opening, humbling and enlightening. I thoroughly recommend a visit. Go past the bamboo house, take a right, and go down the stairs. Take your shoes off and put them in a bag (provided). If you go inside, people will approach you to help.
