At the U Boutique Hotel and was genuinely impressed by the quality of the facilities. The rooms were modern, clean, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly cozy, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches like complimentary toiletries and high speed Wi-Fi. The shared laundry area was convenient, making my stay feel even more like home. The location is perfect close to everything but still quiet and relaxing. I highly recommend U Boutique Hotel for anyone looking for affordable comfort with great amenities. Will definitely stay here again!

On transit to the South Island with my son, just needed a cheap stay in Wellington overnight. Although not exactly as described, for the price it was what I would expect. Our room was a small but adequate twin room. On the road side so very noisy. I wouldn't recommend this room if you are not used to noise, or so dead tired that it doesn't affect you (that was us after a drive from Aucks). shared bathroom which wasn't a problem. very clean and tidy, and a great shower with shampoo, body wash, hairdryer, towels, and bathmats provided. The bath also with a hand-held shower attachment - handy for small children. we didn't have too much luggage as we were able to keep everything in the car downstairs. but if you have a lot of luggage, the stairwell is narrow and no lift. PJ, whom I booked through, was very courteous and helpful. The room I wanted wasn't available, but the room we got met our requirements for the night, including a parking space right outside, twin beds, and a late checkout. Internet is included but a bit hit and miss in our room. there was a small desk where i could do a bit of work on laptop. Beds where extremely comfortable. I had a fantastic sleep, despite the noise and Wellington council emptying the bins at 4am. It's very central and was an easy walk to all restaurants and an after-dinner stroll along the wharf front. If it's a cheap quick stay you are looking for then this is a good option. We had a small room with only a jug and a small fridge and tv, but there are lots of options to choose from for larger families / Groups. very well run and communication from PJ and the team was great. Thanks Guys. Highly recommend for the price. Update: Just a word of caution, there is a lot of activity around this area day and night (as it is very inner city) if you are parking in the area, it pays to take ALL of your valuables out of your vehicle. We had an incident and no one could provide us with any "useable" or good quality CCTV, even though their are cameras in the street and around the hotel.

We stayed here during our wedding weekend. It is in very handy walking distance for everywhere you might want to go but there’s not much else good to be said about it… it’s very noisy at night, take ear plugs or sleeping pills or both! It’s not at all accessible, up two flights of narrow stairs and no lift to get to our room. It was not clean… there were moldy spoons in the drawer, we moved the couch and found it hadn’t been vacuumed for a while, the light fixtures were very grimy. There was a mysteriously stained cushion- see photo. There were also ominous scratches on the inside of the bathroom door like someone had tried to claw their way out. It was a conversation starter with the bridal party, but you can probably do better!

I was expecting 'quirky' at the Frederick Street hotel but it badly needs an upgrade. |I arrived alone in the dark and had difficulty finding the lock-box for my room #203 which is across a scruffy courtyard off the main building, as there's no lighting to the area and the sensor light at the main door (locked) only came on briefly.|The mattress in that room is dreadful, I could feel the springs and the hollow all night so didn't sleep at all well.|There's a kitchenette (dishwasher labelled 'out of order' but I didn't need it). Some cutlery in the drawer was filthy (!) so I left a note to have it resolved. Still not 100% . |No tea towel or dishcloth available until I asked.|It's conveniently close to Te Papa and Takina but I wouldn't stay there again.

Needed a place for the night close to the ferry and this place was perfect! Spacious and clean rooms. Also pet friendly if you need. Service was awesome and also a good spot for walking around the city to get out an explore a bit. Would definitely recommend :) a special thanks to PJ and Bichu!

Very disappointed with what the room offered. The room had a strong ordor, cushion covers dirty, the bathroom /toilet was so small and old style. Paid extra for breakfast which was just Pathetic 3 slices of bread, yogurt and juice. Would not recommend this place for anyone. Paid extra for parking and the space allocated was small. The place is so old and dirty, for a ridiculous amount I paid. Not happy at all...completely rubbish. 👎👎👎

I’ve traveled multiple times for work and stayed at various hotels, but I have never experienced this level of service, comfort, and cleanliness at such an affordable price! UBoutique Hotel truly exceeded my expectations in every way. Despite arriving for a late check-in at midnight, the staff made the process seamless and stress-free. The team was incredibly welcoming, and I was especially impressed by PJ, who was extremely helpful over the phone. Their professionalism and attentiveness made all the difference and set the tone for a great stay. The hotel itself is immaculate cleanliness is clearly a top priority here. My room was fresh, cozy, and well-maintained, providing the perfect space to relax after a long day. The continental breakfast was another highlight, offering a wonderful selection of fresh and delicious options to start the day right. Having stayed at many hotels for work, I can confidently say that UBoutique Hotel offers an experience that’s hard to find at this price point. It’s truly one of the best properties in Wellington, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended! This version highlights affordability in an elegant way while reinforcing the hotel’s top-notch service. Let me know if you want any more tweaks!

What a great spot this was! Definitely exceeded our expectations. We got the King Suite as we were travelling with our doggie and our 12 year old. Was surprised about he size of the room, real value for money! They even provided a dog bed and bowl of kibble for our doggie. Conveniently located close to ferry terminal which was an 8 minute drive at 7am. Thanks so much for everything PJ and Bichu, really great service from you 😊
