Best and the most authentic food I have eaten in Prague. Fair prices, good tasting, and high-quality food. I can recommend this restaurant to everyone. Also as they say do not worry "Two Cats Beef Goulash" does not contain cats :)

i recently dined here and was thoroughly impressed. The portions were very generous, exceeding my expectations. The staff were exceptionally friendly, enhancing the overall experience. The traditional Czech cuisine was authentic and flavorful. I particularly enjoyed the “Two Cats” beef goulash with onion and a selection of dumplings, as well as the roast pork neck with cabbage and bread dumplings. The old-style Bohemian potato soup was a delightful starter. The menu offers a variety of classic dishes, ensuring there’s something for everyone. I highly recommend this historic establishment for anyone seeking an authentic Czech dining experience in Prague.

Very traditional Czech Beer Pub and Restaurant with a long history. Still you can smell the old times and taste delicious traditional Czech dishes. Has a lovely pub area at the entrance to just grab a beer whilst having a small chat (as it always has been) or you sit down in the restaurant area and order something more substantial. It may become somewhat noisy yet this is contributing to the traditional atmosphere.

Servers were super friendly, and the dining atmosphere was excellent. But most importantly is the food. The food was superb! There is nothing for me to nitpick. The house beers were also perfect, in fact better than some of the bigger brands. This restaurant offers a plethora of traditional Czech dishes - definitely worth the trip coming here.

If you are searching for an authentic Czech pub atmosphere, with absolutely amazing food, great beer, and of course, great prices. You must Visit U Dvou Koček. A fair warning, the place is usually packed, for good reason obviously. The staff runs around like a they are incapable of getting tired, jumping from customer to customer as often as humanly possible. Bartender is a pro, his hands never stop moving! We have been here three times in our 5 day stay and so far it's got to be one of my top spots to hang in while in Prague. Enjoy!

I ate at the Two Cats on my birthday and enjoyed the picked cheese (delicious with the rye bread provided) followed by the hearty potato dumplings, which I washed down with several fabulously foamy local beers. Would highly recommend a visit to this tavern, which is one of Prague’s oldest. (It was so good, in fact, we went back a couple of nights later.)

We came without a reservation and need not a very long wait for the food. The svickova is tasty! I had to order the medovick since i havent seen it for so long, and its very fulfilling.

Once your order is taken, you don't have to wait more thant 5/10 minutes to eat good and local products. The 2 kočka beers are really good.

Yelp
I visited there because the latest lonely planet guidebook recommended this place. Also, I wanted to experience something local. The beer was great indeed. Then, I tried the beef with bread pudding. The beef was neither good nor bad. For me, the bread pudding was too many to eat up. When I visited, there was no additional service charge. The restaurant is located close to the center of the city, so it was great to walk around even after I had a dinner.

Yelp
Beer was good, and potato soup was delicious. Beer cheese was horrible, so avoid that. Service was awful, awful, awful. Both predatory (as warned in other reviews) and dismissive. Had not expected this to be quite as much of a tourist trap as it turned out to be. Disappointing.

Yelp
SCAM!!! Will charge you for "music", "service charge", "seating charge". Faux handwritten bill is given when asked for an explanation. Beer was actually good, but very expensive for the area. Food was expensive and unseasoned. Stay away from here! Do not be fooled by the traditional Czech look and feel of this place.

Yelp
If you want good Czech food and good Czech beer and don't want to pay tourist prices, this is your place. Yes, I made the mistake of eating on old town square the first night - what i got was overpriced food/drinks and a generally unimpressive menu. Good people watching is maybe the only bright spot. This place has in-house made beer, great food, and friendly service - all at a reasonable price. Start with the cold platter (brewery chopping board), and move on to one of their delicious local specialties. Hands down my favorite dining experience while in Czech Republic. I wish they had places like this in the States. Do yourself a favor and make the 10 minute walk here from Old Town square - that is unless you want to pay $30 for a sausage and a beer that you can get in America.

Yelp
This was actually quite good. After reading some of the reviews I was a little skeptical but it was filled with locals laughing, drinking and singing along with the organ player. The goulash is outstanding, especially considering Ive been having that for the past 4 days all over Prague, really good with the boar. The "service fee of 25 for the music is pennies compared to 30 k a beer lol.

Yelp
The service is not bad, but additional charge is present (toilets, tools, salt, bred and so on). We paid 50 Kc for service and was not warned about some service fee is taken.

Yelp
We loved this restaurant! It was unique and delicious!! Authentic Czech food with great service. We did not have any extra charges - even the bathroom was no charge! Thanks for an amazing dinner!

Yelp
Tourists: do not go here. The waitresses were unnecessarily rude, they charge a service fee, and the guy they sent over to tally the check handed us the bill before we were done eating, then refused to let us split the check, then use cards, then give us change. Just ridiculous service and all we wanted to do was eat their food! I hate writing bad reviews but it was just that uncomfortable and unnecessary. It's probably fine for locals but they seem to have a vendetta against tourists.

Yelp
The food was ok but we got ripped off. The service was terrible. The music was charged for and it wasn't even enjoyable. On top of all of that, they offered a drink as a digestive and charged us €5 euros each. The bottle for that liqueur is less than €10. Would not recommend to anyone.

Yelp
DO NOT GO HERE. I have never written a review before but I just got back from here and I am so enraged that I feel compelled to. It's true that myself and my fellow diners were tourists, but we made an attempt to at least say hello thank you and please in Czech. We ordered beers and the waitress (more on her later) set them down, then another three glasses saying "aperitif!" We clearly never ordered them. We thought she were being extra nice cuz we were trying not to be too touristy. Later once our food came I saw her come by and sneakily add a "CU X X X" on our bill that's sitting on the table. When time came to ask for our tally a waiter wrote down a bunch of numbers which we asked him to explain. He said blahblah food, 90 CZK for music (there was a guy in the corner playing a sad accordion singing the most depressing music ever...he probably sang only 2 songs whilst we were eating dinner anyway....I mean hold on ok what if a patron was legally deaf? Would he have to pay??), beers, mystery 75 CZK, then 360 for the aperitifs. We started to protest that but then the waitress was passing by and said NO GRATIS or something to that effect then brushed off leaving us with the waiter with whom we had had no contact with before. So we asked him if we could speak to her. A good while later she finally came back and said "there was THIS much in each glass [indicating about an inch or so] how could that be free?" And turned away again. We meanwhile were so shocked that we had not yet even paid the bill yet when she came by with another tray of aperitifs for another unsuspecting table of tourists and said "SEE? So much. Not free". I looked around and noticed that not every table had the aperitif glasses on them, and the ones that did were apparently tourists. We had heard about restaurants really trying to scam tourists but this old hag was a shock to us! I said to to my mates, "well at least I can say we got the you'll czech experience." For all that, the food wasn't even that great, which could have redeemed it a bit. The scam aperitifs ended up being the most expensive things on our bill. When we got up to leave, I saw the waitress was about to come down the aisle but saw us coming that way so she high tailed it to avoid making eye contact with us. Obviously knew she scammed us good. So if you like mediocre food, rude and slow service, and being scammed by a overly-dyed and leather-faced hag with a terrible attitude who makes a big flourish as if she is doing you a huge favor by doing her job poorly, go here. I really wish I had a better venue to complain about this on. We only have 4 days in Prague and have completely wasted one of our dinners here.
