We reached this airconditional restaurant on weekend at about 2pm. 70% of the tables were occupied. No waiting time was needed for a table. The ambience was relaxed and comfortable. Menu in many languages included English. Table service for ordering and serving within 15 minutes upon ordering. Roast half a duck was perfectly done. Duck meat was juicy and sauce wad good to dip the bread. Red and white cabbages were very good for our appetite. 399kc per serving. 4 stars Chicken soup with meat and noodles was mediocre. There was nothing spectacular worth mentioning. 90kc per serving. 2 stars The dark beer velkopopovicky 0.3l at 55kc was wonderful to take along with meat. So refreshing. 4 stars

Lovely, relaxed Czech restaurant with delicious food. I had the lamb knuckle, which was amazingly tender & rich with collagen. My wife had venison with cranberry sauce, which was lightly gamey & perfectly cooked. Everyone is very nice & the soundtrack is fun, old Czech folk music. Highly recommended!

If you’re looking to try Czech food, I’d recommend staying away from this place. Despite its many branches and chain-like appearance, my experience was nothing short of disappointing. The hygiene standards are shockingly low , from the floor to the overall smell of the place, nothing felt clean. I ordered the half duck, which, while generously portioned and reasonably priced, tasted like it had been reheated multiple times. The smell was off-putting, and I could barely manage a couple of bites. Czech cuisine deserves better representation than this!

Nice restaurant in traditional Czech style. Reasonable prices and good food.

We have been visiting at various times since 2008. The food is delicious especially the roast duck, it has never changed. The service is very good, the atmosphere is very pleasant. I definitely recommend it.

This is a typical Czech restaurant with good food and expensive beer. I tried cabbage soup and beef goulash, accompanied by a local Kozel beer. The staff is not very friendly and they ask you instantly to pay by cash (I quote: “we accept only real money”). If you are hungry, come here, otherwise choose another restaurant for a better experience.

The food was ok, not good but not bad. Nothing special about this place. I tried deer steak with cranberry sauce with roasted potatoes (deer was chewy) and fish trout was bony. Beer 🍺 was ok, nothing special- regular. I don't think I'll be back for a second time.

The dishes are served without salad or any side dish, it’s disgusting to buy everything separately, only put in a quarter of a tomato. The leg of lamb is very small, as if the main part was cut off. The service is immediately included in the bill although it is not good. In general, I don’t recommend it, there are much better places nearby with live music.

Avoid! !!Terrible service. We tried to ask when we should come back to get a table, three servers turned their backs and walked away. Worst treatment I ever witnessed at a restaurant.
