One of our favorite restaurants we visited on our trip to Oahu! The kalua pork was a favorite between me and my boyfriend—we found the pork to be tender and juicy while not overly oily. We also loved that the kale had a bit of a crisp to it. The poke was alright, the fish was fresh but the sweet and spicy sauce was a bit too sweet and thick for my liking. Don’t miss the ube colada either, it was delicious!! We dream of this place constantly now.

Uahi Island Grill is a hidden gem! The flavors are fresh, local, and full of aloha. My partner and I got the Island Shrimp Ceviche for appetizer for our main entrees he got the Ahi Poke Trio and I got the Mochiko Garlic Chicken and it was packed with flavor. The portions are generous and the vibe is super chill—perfect for a relaxing island meal. Friendly service, great food, and a true taste of Hawaii. Definitely coming back!

Bucha Highland Grill: A Casual Dining Experience Bucha Highland Grill offers a straightforward dining experience that hits some marks while falling short on others. The happy hour specials were disappointing, with minimal discounts that didn't excite. The menu shows promise, particularly with the teriyaki cheeseburger - a satisfying option that rates a solid 7.5/10. It's filling and tasty, if not extraordinary. The orange duck confit proved to be another highlight, earning a respectable 7-8/10 rating. Service stands out as a strong point. The staff is friendly and attentive, working in a notably clean and comfortable environment. The restaurant seems well-suited for casual dining and appears accommodating for larger groups. While not a culinary destination, Bucha Highland Grill provides a reliable option for those seeking a no-frills meal. The menu suggests potential for variety, and the overall experience suggests it's worth a return visit - especially if you're looking to try something different next time. Recommended for diners seeking a dependable, unpretentious meal in a pleasant setting.

Absolutely amazing establishment! Initially went because it was on the Triple D TV show, but now I'll continue going because of the food. Super friendly Staff and Amazing Food! Everything was perfect and flavorful.

We made an excellent choice by coming to the Uahi Island Grill for lunch on Sunday! The food was fresh, flavorful, and made with great care. The service was very attentive, and the atmosphere was wonderful and welcoming – perfect for enjoying a good meal. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back. Thank you for the great experience!

Google
My recent visit to Uahi Island Grill was an absolute delight, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. Every dish we tried was packed with flavor. The fish was exceptionally good, cooked perfectly and incredibly fresh. The poke was delicious, a definite highlight for any fan of Hawaiian cuisine. For the little ones, the garlic teriyaki chicken was a huge hit, and my kids absolutely loved it! While the pork was a tad on the salty side for my personal preference, it was still tender and flavorful. Beyond the fantastic food, the cocktails were expertly crafted and truly great, adding a wonderful touch to our meal. What truly impressed me was how reasonably priced everything was, especially given the high quality of the food and drinks. Overall, Uahi Island Grill offers a fantastic dining experience with delicious food, great drinks, excellent value, and wonderful service. It's a must-visit!

Yelp
Went for Valentine's Day dinner, and the food, drinks, and service were stellar! The Prime Rib special was killer! The ambiance was 10/10 also, and we were happy to see many other couples celebrating Valentine's there also. Highly recommended for any occasion

Yelp
We have eaten here 3 times in the past 6 weeks. Locals seem to like it and bring their families here for casual dinner. It's one of our more frequent "go to" restaurants -not fast food. They recently decided to be closed on Sundays. Food: The menu has a good variety of food choices -from Prime rib to fish curry to duck to vegetarian. Our group has enjoyed almost everything on the menu, even the lunch sandwiches. Be careful how you order the beef dishes -you might want to order a little less well done than your usual-they seem to be served more well done than we ask. Red curry fish is a favorite of some in our group. They used to offer a great papaya salad as a side, but now the only dish that has papaya salad is the red curry fish. The other sides are sort of standard and more bland, in my opinion. Bar has nice creative drinks. Service is always pleasant, although sometimes they seem short-handed during the week. Facility -nice indoor and covered outdoor seating. Clean and neat facility. Street parking or nearby garage.

Yelp
Food is eh, but the service, drinks, and vibes are great! Located in Kailua, I recently came in for a lunch with my Pilates pals. This spot is great for groups, it was super convenient to make an online reservation and it's great that they automatically split the bill for each person and added an 18% gratuity. I really appreciated that they kept every order so organized. The parking is not as convenient but there are a few paid street parking spots up front and a few public paid lots a short walk away. We were celebrating so we each had a few drinks. I started with their strawberry mango marg and was obsessed that they had half the rim lined with tajin and the other half with li hing mui! We also had a celebratory glass of bubbly - we love a fun toast! I ordered the seared ahi with ginger scallion and with most entrees you're able to choose from white rice, brown rice, and another choice of sides like korean sprout salad, kimchi, and mac salad. I went with their brown rice and korean sprout salad. The sides are where it really fell short for me, both had a kinda mushy acidic taste. I tried a few bites of the spicy ahi poke and pork (kalua pig) combo and the fish curry and overall it was okay- no dish really stood out flavor wise and the textures kinda all read mushy. I would come again for drinks and pupus!

Yelp
#26 of 52 (weeks of trying a new restaurant at least once a week) Stopped here after spending some time at Kailua beach on a Sunday. We opted to sit outside. My best friend was visiting so she and my honey started off with some drinks. I was dd so just water for me! It took me forever to decide on what I wanted to eat. On one hand I wanted something light but everything heavy sounded so good too. I opted for their version of bibimbap. My honey got a breakfast sandwich with potatoes and my friend got the kalua pork and kale. Food came relatively quickly. I really enjoyed my bibimbap. It had rice, beef, kimchi, cucumbers, eggs and a couple other veggies in it. Mixed together it was the perfect bite. My friend didn't realize her pork and kale came on rice as she chose rice as her side for her meal. My honey liked his food ok. It was good but nothing we'd hurry back for. If we're in the area we may give it another try.

Yelp
Best red curry fish on the island ! Fish tonight was Ahi. Served on garlic mashed potatoes (upgrade) with green papaya salad. Got it extra spicy.. wow. Also ordered garlic shrimp entree on white rice. Although shrimp were good sized and fresh, they lacked a sauce. Asked for a side of garlic chicken sauce, which really kicked up the dish. Will definitely need to try the garlic chicken entree on our next visit.

Yelp
Upon walking in, the restaurant is very clean, and has a great set up / art work around. My server & the bartender helped me with all questions I had about the food / drinks and were very sweet. They provided me great service and had excellent food. I was impressed. I only have a couple days left here and definitely plan on making it one more time before leaving.

Yelp
Aloha, after our art session we stopped in for lunch. Nice ambiance as open air. Food was fresh and satisfying. Fun coming to Kailua with girlfriends, nice change of pace. I forget how much I enjoy Kailua, almost felt like I was on the outer islands. Only complaint is the strong smell of the spray they use to clean tables. Cleaner sprays all over, she should just spray the cloth then wipe the table to minimize odor. Mahalo

Yelp
Decided to try this once again as my memories of when they first opened sit on my mind. Unfortunately, food is not how I remembered it. Their special creamy mushroom chicken was not so good. The sauce was anything BUT creamy and it was pictured as a white sauce but came served as a dark brown sauce. It also had a sour taste to it like it had some vinegar in the gravy. The mochiko chicken really was fried chicken with some kind of sauce that didn't taste so good. The Korean steak melt sandwich was the best item but even that was just meh. I'm so sad that this restaurant doesn't seem to be putting out the same quality of food that it did when it first started many years ago! While I want to support local and keep restaurants in Kailua, I'd like the food to at least make me happy. This was not the experience I got.

Yelp
After our excursion to Kailua, we were on the hunt for lunch. Per Li Y's suggestion, we came to Uahi Island Grill! It was a great option to kick back, eat, and talk story. The restaurant embodies a local spot with a spacious inside area, beach decor, and a relaxed vibe to it. There's also outdoor seating. Plenty of seating for both spots for all party sizes. Service was slammed but we were helped throughout our meal and our food came out fast. We shared Furikake Calamari as our appetizer which came with a sweet spicy sriracha sauce. It was good but I couldn't taste any furikake which I was excited about. To order, I had the Kalua Pork and Kale while she got the Orange Duck Confit. The portions were quite large and I had half of mine. The kalua pig was super tender and juicy. The kale was great and honestly tops the typical cabbage. My only wish was that there was more kale! You could choose two sides, I went with White Rice and Mac Salad. I'd pass on the mac salad as it was too creamy while the white rice was just too much. There are plenty of eateries in Kailua but if you're looking for a laid-back spot for any meal, Uahi Island Grill is a good option. They're situated off Aulike Street with parking in the neighborhood, we parked in the public lot across the street.

Yelp
We come here every week on Wednesday because we love, love, LOVE the food and the service! We love the calamari. It's delicious and always very fresh! We love ALL of the servers, but our favorite is Kalokahi!! He's the best! Our favorite dish is the poke trio with brown rice. Their local dishes with kimchee are excellent too. The kimchee is house-made and it's always very fresh. Whenever someone asks me for a great place to eat in Kailua, we always recommend Uahi Grill!!

Yelp
Stopped by here on 11/20/24 for dinner right after going to Lanikai beach. All the food we had was delicious and would love to come back here again one day. Service was terrific, she was super nice (sorry, I didn't get her name). This is a cute, casual local restaurant close to the beach which is a great location. It has a full bar and also an outside seating. We had a great time here, a treat for my birthday! We left the place with a full belly lol :D

Yelp
We've lived on the windward side for over 10 years and only now decided to check out Uahi Island Grill. Came on a Saturday night for an early dinner and it was not crowded at all. We were given the option of sitting inside or outside, we opted to sit inside. The menu has a lot of local favorites to choose from, and a keiki menu. Portions are generous. The son and I split the Surf & Turf - it was definitely adequate for two people. Even the keiki butter noodles (which was like mac n cheese) was a good sized bowl of pasta for only $7. The husband really liked the red curry grilled fish (apparently this dish was featured by Guy F. on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives). It looked like there was only one guy doing all the cooking, so our food took a while. I wonder what it's like when it's busy?? In any event, this will be a great place to take friends/family visiting from out of town.

Yelp
One word... GARLIC CHICKEN! I was told to check out this place by one of the locals if I wanted try some great Hawaiian inspired dishes. I happened to stumble in during happy hour, and they have amazing deals on Pupu's (appetizers) and drinks! I tried the garlic chicken, which is an absolute must! So delicious and full of flavor. The service was absolutely amazing. Great recommendations. I loved sitting outside and enjoying the fresh air and outdoor ambience. I also ordered the curry fish dish which is also amazing but quite an adjustment after experiencing the explosion of flavor from the garlic chicken. The loaded pork fries and truffle garlic parmesan fries are also such a delicious starter! This place is a must try!

Yelp
This is a really nice place in Kailua. The food is super delicious and has a chill hangout vibe. A great place to come with friends or order takeout too! I've eaten in and gotten takeout from here and everything has always been so delicious. The people are very friendly as well. The fries are good with their aioli sauce. We also got the Parmesan truffle fries and those are super delicious as well. The kalua pig and kale is my go-to. The portion is really large. It comes with two side that you can choose from also. The ahi katsu patties are another favorite. Super crispy and the sauce they put on is really flavorful. The burger was good also. Everything we've tried from here has always been tasty. I always look forward to coming here when I'm in Kailua!

Yelp
Another late lunch series at Kailua ft. Uahi Island Grill. And since t'was late lunch there's only few people dining in and the transaction was smooth. We were seated immediately after being greeted. Our server Christina was so friendly and kind. She's also efficient and love how she checked upon us from time to time. They also got outside dining as well so I suggest to opt for that one. Food: Irie Chicken (Jamaican spiced grilled boneless chicken) w/ Green Papaya Salad - unfortunately it was so salty for me. I keep sipping my drink just to balance my taste. The chicken meat was a lil bit dry as well. The brown rice was a little bit mushy and needs to cook a little bit more. The green papaya on the other hand was good and tasty. French Fries - t'was cooked perfectly. So crunchy from the outside and so soft from the inside. Gave us two kinds of dipping sauce & was all good. They did a good job on the fries. Should I come back? I'll pass... next restaurant please! Mahalo for reading & happy juandering fellow Yeeps!

Yelp
Table for 13 please! No sweat! This restaurant has your party covered! Not only can they accommodate large parties, the food and service are excellent! Thanks Uahi Island Grill!

Yelp
Cute space with a large menu. We dined at brunch and tried the chicken loco moco (good) and berry cobbler waffle (too sweet for me personally). Highly recommend the perfect cucumber martini! I also got the passion fruit Pina colada which was great, but very sweet, as expected.

Yelp
Fabulous! I have never had such a unique combination of flavors. I had the daily special soup made with salmon, kimchi and red chili flakes. It was perfection. Paired with a house salad, Visiting from the mainland, I will be back. I found paradise.
google avatar

Yelp
Another Triple D location that we happen to dine at (all by coincidence I swear!). Service was good and the food here was ok. Free parking here is limited in the area, we had to park on the street around the corner from the restaurant, unless you want to pay to park in the structure next to the restaurant. The menu is pretty small, they mostly have the same protein but served in different forms: ie: Garlic Chicken entree, garlic chicken salad, or garlic chicken sandwich. We shared the Korean Sirloin Sandwich, the Keiki butter noodles, and the Irie Chicken entree. Portions seemed to be on the smaller end, and unfortunately my family wasn't impressed with the taste of the food. The restaurant has a bar, with a daily happy hour between 3 pm and- 6 pm.

Yelp
Love the food! Nice ambiance! Food came out fast! Unfortunately waiter never came back to check on us! Too bad, If that was addressed definitely 5 star rating. Had the Duck Confit and enjoyed it!

Yelp
Everytime I search for restaurants in Kailua, Uahi Island grill pops up as most recommended, so we had to go try. I ordered the surf and turf, which is a strip of steak, topped with garlic shrimp, over a bed rice, and you have 2 side options, so my other was Mac salad. My steak was tough, chewy, I guess because it was a New York steak strip? And my rice was bleh. As a Filipino/asian, I love my rice, and it was a little, like dry. I don't know, it wasn't perfect. But the garlic shrimp was good. My wife had the red curry fish, the popular dish, and she said that was 5 star, and it was really good. We also ordered the furikake calamari and trio poke.. the calamari would've been good if it was a little softer, but that too was chewy, like the calamari was overcooked or something, and the poke trio was goooood!! I liked it! I also had a lihingmui margarita, was aight, not enough alcohol lol. But other than that, customer service was good, girl was nice, food came out fast, and the ambiance was cute. Had a nice fast date with the wife. The decor was cute.. the workers have their art work display and for sell!!!! So you can actually buy their art. Get indoor and outdoor seating, public parking garage (metered) is right there if not street parking. Wish I got a picture of the art stuff/decor inside. Also have bar, and their popular dish was featured in diners, drive inns, and dive, with Guy! Would I go there again? Maybe, maybe not lol. But you should go try!

Yelp
As a family we loved this place! Everything was delicous. It has a great selection of items and there is something for everyone. I love how unpretentious it is. The ambiance is relaxed and enjoyable. We ate outside and it was lovely. Our server was probably the best that we had on the vacation. He was so friendly and helpful. He totally made us feel welcome. And he had a lot of jokes to share. Food came out promptly as well. I ordered the red curry fish and asked for it to be hot. It was delicous and not scorching. Sauce was amazing. Huge portion also. I had to box some of it up. The papaya salad paired nicely and added a contrast with the crunch and the freshness. The other one that was a stand out was the ahi cake katsu. It was perfectly breaded, nicely fried and tasty. Amazing for the price point.

Rick V.

Yelp
at first I was going to give them a second star because the bar tender was good but then I decided the food was so bad and the other server (man with pony tale who was hanging around bar and was annoying) was bad so lost star the worst nachos were decent chips , mixed with terrible scraps of beef that looked like they were scraped of the grill when they cleaned it the night before and saved for this dish. Then add bottled kim chee bad enough but then use that cheese like substance you get at theater on those nachos (but didnt taste as good as movie theater cheese whiz) kim chee and cheese whiz on junk meat scraps then the calamari was basically little bits of deep fried bread crumbs with a few small squid tentacles and tubes thrown in , terrible and tasted like they need to change the cooking grease which was main flavor, they were tough and dried out . there are two italian places on the same block , go there or if not , try fast food on the corner
google avatar

Jason J.

Yelp
Tasty pulled bbq with chips! Perfect portion size. friendly service. Also got the tofu salad with miso vinaigrette. Tasty as well.

Vicki L.

Yelp
We love this place and go every week to eat with friends and family. The food is so good ( especially the poke and curry fish) the outside patio is cool and breezy. Our favorite waiter is Kalokahi who already knows what we want before we order it. The other staff Cully, Ellie, Jasmine are fantastic too. The prices are just right. Try it out!
google avatar

Melinda T.

Yelp
What went well: - the happy hour drinks! Mai tais specifically. - the service, she was so nice - the pork was pretty good - the tofu on the salad was well grilled What didn't you as well: - the calamari batter was too much and not flavorful - the poke was too saucy. Food land has better poke - the mac salad was just ok. We got L&L today and enjoyed their Mac salad better. - the fries were a little too salty - they forgot about our garlic chicken order, and we cancelled it I don't think we'd go back for food but perhaps the happy hour for drinks!
google avatar

Rachel H.

Yelp
Note - happy hour doesn't start until 3:30pm even though the site says 3:00pm. The pull pork fries were phenomenal! The pork was tender and delicious. Same for the garlic chicken. The sauce on the calamari was good too. I tried the raspberry desire cocktail and it was not great. I only had two or three sips and there was no offer for a new drink so that was disappointing.
google avatar

Cathy M.

Yelp
Meh! Nothing special here! Drinks quite a disappointing experience as little or no alcohol, just mixer. As for the meal, my husband summed it up as "bland ". I agree. Cute interior and very good service on a positive note.
google avatar

Bessie C.

Yelp
We enjoyed sharing a few dishes including: - Furikaki calamari which was our fave - khalua pork with fries was ok - ahi tuna salad was very fresh and delicious - chicken platter with Mac and papaya salad Waitress was very attentive and the decor matched the island vibe. No air condition tho so it was a bit hot. Street parking that you pay with coins only.

Yelp
As always Chef Bear and his staff puts out TOP quality, ONO kind grinds & EXCELLENT customer service!!! My wife & I have been supporting a true local restaurant for over 20 + years. keep it going!!!! Local people & visitors to Kailua come and eat at & support this LOCAL RESTAURANT!!!

Yelp
Service is so great. They're so nice here. Service runs on Island time, but in a great way. Lots of guiltless catching up with friends. We had the Pork Fries which are amazing every time. The Pulled Pork entree was perfect. The panko fried tuna burger ... I'll order that again. Highly recommend stopping in after a day at the beach. Happy hour starts at 3:00.

Yelp
Honestly one of the best meals I had on my trip to Oahu. I was surprised the restaurant was kinda empty when I went. The Irie Chicken and Boneless Kalbi Ribs had so much delicious flavor. It made me go silent because I was munchin. Everyone enjoyed their food. It was excellent and not too expensive. There's also a convenient parking lot nearby with a rate of $0.75/hr. The restaurant itself was clean and well decorated. They have a nice bar area with Happy Hour specials. And Guy Fieri went here. Like what??
google avatar

Julie T.

Yelp
Red curry grilled fish! So super fresh and delicious also refreshing! The fish sat on top of a bed of rice and a nice papaya salad on top. They also give you option to put it on top of mashed potatoes. I'm really picky about my curries, and this one nailed it! The curry flavor wasn't too overpowering and it complimented the rice perfectly. We also ordered the Irie chicken, with tasty Jamaican flavors with rice and kimchi! Also a good pairing. The menu is vast and you'll leave stuffed! This place was recommended by a local do you must try when you are around the area! Paired it with the refreshing sangria and Joyce got yourself a great meal! Service was amazing as well!

Yelp
I've been here twice with family. This place has tasty food, and its priced fairly reasonably for what you get. They have nice indoor and outdoor dining options. I would describe the food as elevated local plate lunch fare. Taste is on point. This time we got: 1) Irie Chicken Salad - For $14 this is a bargain. Large plate of greens and generous portion of chicken on top. Got the ranch dressing and it was not the clumpy thick ranch that comes out of a bottle. Was a more creamy vinegarette rather than a ranch, and it was really good. 2) Furikake Tofu - smaller plate than the salad, and not quite as generous a portion. Would have been better with one more piece of tofu. But it was good nonetheless. Includes two sides. We chose garlic mash and side salad. 3) Parmesan garlic fries - WOW really good. I'd definitely get these. NOW the bad news: 1) A third the menu is "Market Price" which is stupid. Even more dumb, the waitress didn't know the prices. 2) The waitress also didn't know what kind of fish the "Red Curry Grilled Fish" and the Scallio Pesto Fish" were. As of today, 1/7/24 both those dishes were $24. I have to say that I don't really blame the waitress. Management needs to ensure its staff know these things. Our waitress was pretty good otherwise. 3) We didn't notice the uncharges for the sides. Both the garlic mash and the pathetically small side salad incurred $2 extra fee turning a $13 plate into a $17 plate. Yes its our fault for not noticing the "(2)" next to these items but SMH. Seriously? A few pieces of lettuce cost an extra $2? But Kim Chi and Mac Salad cost less? Ridiculous

Yelp
Service and food really went down hill. My wife and I haven't been to this place in a few years and we decided to try it this past weekend after seeing a happy hour special in the paper. Left quite disappointed. The irie jerk chicken use to have a nice sharp hot and crispy taste/texture but this time it was served cold, bland and soggy (like it was in the refrigerator from the night before). The appetizers, meh. In the fried calamari, the squid you did get (there wasnt much) was hard/dry. It was basically fried furikake panko; all breading no calamari. I will say the kimchi steak sandwich was awesome 10/10. Despite the restaurant being slow, the service was pretty bad. We felt like being there was inconveniencing our waiter and felt rushed out of the place. She was not very attentive. We probably would have ordered more if she checked in on us once in a while. Observed some of the other waiters and they seemed great! Not ours. Oh well. We came in for the happy hour with higher expectations. Maybe its the gentrification raising the bar for whats good and whats not. Or at least where you'll spend your hard earned money. Local people from Kailua will come here but you have to step it up. Would have been 1 star but it gets 2 stars because the steak kimchee sandwich was dank! Not sure if it is under new management, but this wasn't the Uahi that we remembered from before.
google avatar

Evan A.

Yelp
First time to Uahi grill on a Saturday, wasn't too busy which was nice. To be honest, my friend wanted to sit in the back of the restaurant and it was hot, the patio would have been better. Server was nice, kept checking on us and have us time to catch up. Wine pours we're generous and we shared the entree garlic shrimp and the appetizer mushrooms. Food was good, nothing out of this world but good (flavor was nice but nothing out of the ordinary) and the portion size was great. I was full after sharing just the two items.

Yelp
On a side street near downtown Kailua is this gem of a place! It has a wonderful laid back island vibe that has both indoor and outdoor seating. I always try for bar seating which is small but accommodating. The best item in the menu is fish with red curry over mashed potatoes. I've ordered 4 of these and are delightful and consistent! Great balance with the coconut and curry accounting to my palate. The Mai Tais are also a must! They are served in. Tall tiki type glass. Uahis is a place where all generations of a group can enjoy what they bring! Good food, wonderful ambiance and great service! As a note: it's Kailua so street parking required coins. Please come prepared.

Corey G.

Yelp
Great food in a casual atmosphere, great friendly and attentive service and outdoor dining is sweet and the happy hour is a great deal!

Yelp
This place is very relaxing and pretty. The service is good and quick. We stopped by for lunch before our hike and we were very pleased with their food and prices.

Yelp
Awesome spot! We ended up finding this place randomly and loved it. They have indoor and outdoor seating, the food comes fast, and the service is friendly. We tried the Red Fish Curry and the Garlic Shrimp. The red fish curry was featured on the food network and it did not disappoint! It was so flavorful and tender. The sauce wasn't too heavy or too spicy. The garlic shrimp were good - they weren't overly fried but they did have a ton of garlic butter on them. Would definitely go back!

Yelp
Garlic Out. Went there with high expectations. Our server Kolohe. his real name is close too that spelling. He was very jovial. Very local in his personality. Five stars for him. We ordered the basket of fries. It was freshly made. Didn't care for the home made aioli which came with it. The ketchup was great. We had the sauted mushrooms. which was heavy on the garlic. I did enjoy that appetizer.. We also shared the Orange Duck Confit. with side garlic mash and green papaya salad. The glaze didn't quite make it. The Duck itself was tasty. Oh well I'm still burping garlic.. Enjoy

Yelp
Stopped in on a whim while passing by and the menu looks too be a decent size but not a lot of variety happening for our tastebuds. It seems more like a bar with some bites than a grill that happens to have a bar. That's the best way I can say it. Super friendly staff and decent tucked away atmosphere. Didn't see any heat lamps or they weren't on for us while sitting in the patio area so can get a bit nippy and uncomfy unless you're throwing those drinks back to warm up from the inside out.

Yelp
One of the best hidden gems on Oahu. Food was so fresh and super quick. Bartender was probably the best I've had. Wish I would've caught her name to give her props! Mochico garlic chicken was so lightly battered, moist and flavorful with a garlic teriyaki sauce. Also had the furikake calamari which is why I went there. A tad over cooked which was surprising given how quick it came out. Restaurant was clean and had outside seating.

Yelp
The food is okay. But if you search "Uahi Grill Menu" you get this. https://www.zmenu.com/uahi-island-grill-kailua-5-online-menu/ Which is a service they must use but not keep up to date and all the reprices are old. When I called to place a takeout order I asked to confirm the price since I wasn't sure. The lady said, "I guess." But when I got there the price was $5 more. So either have this website remove your menu entirely, or update the prices!

Yelp
Uahi Grill is always our go to when we're in Kailua side, especially if we have our pup with us, since they have great outdoor seating and are pet friendly. Their food is also always spot on and staff is super friendly. The orange duck and parmesan bacon mushrooms are my personal favorite things to order.

Yelp
Food is always delicious, service can be hit or miss. Well worth the dollars though! Happy hour is really good, try the tofu dinner.....you will be surprised!! And it's like $14 and comes with sides!

Yelp
Food: amazing! The duck melted right off the bone. You can't go wrong with kalua pork & ahi. Service: great! We got to choose our seats & the food came out soon after we ordered. Ambiance: nice & chill for a Sunday night. We'll definitely be returning here :)

Yelp
Yummy brunch spot - I would say it's fusion of several different cuisines. For the table, we got the Kalua pig fries to share. If you like kalua pig and loaded fries, this is a good sharable. I split the garlic shrimp plate and the duck sriracha sandwich with a side salad. Both were what I expected flavor wise, it was a lot of food, and I'd order both again! They have indoor and outdoor seating, and street parking/parking lots nearby.
