Everything about this hotel was very well considered and pleasant to stay in. Lovely staff, very sweet. The hotel itself is gorgeous and clean, with great amenities. The bathtub and shower wet room, with free bath salts was very nice and the bedroom itself was spacious and well laid out. Really nice relaxing downstairs lounge area, with free drinks and soba in the evening, and umbrellas to borrow on your way out!

Booked UAN after reading other reviewers. Glad I did. This is a terrific hotel that is a bit different from the others. The location for tourists is exceptional next door to Kanazawa Castle and Kenrouken Gardens and a few blocks from Omichi market..||The staff were the best we met in Japan, which is a high bar. They were friendly and still very professional. They all spoke quite good English and went out of their way to help.||The complimentary soba noodles at night were great and the whole area with its art work and layout gave the hotel and very pleasant atmosphere.

Excellent hotel in a superb location, 2 minutes walk from the Castle Gardens and 5 mins from Kenrokuen Garden.|Staff were all extremely polite and helpful. Superb facilities, spotlessly clean. Room was faultless. Readily available drinks, 24/7 very much appreciated. Bicycle hire also a nice touch with staff helping us plan our route to rhe coast and beach! |Breakfast was extensive and gorgeous. The best and healthiest "Western" breakfast we've had in Japan.|Nothing to fault about this hotel, highly recommend for a stay in Kanazawa.

This is our fourth hotel in Japan so far and we really enjoyed it. It has an art focus and beautifully decorated. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. As with any hotel, it comes down to what’s important to each guest and who you plan on spending your time while there. We don’t stay in our room much . The air conditioning worked very well which we appreciated as that has not always been the case at other hotels. There was plenty of room for our luggage and they give you a large container of water each day. The beds and pillows were very comfortable which is very important to us. The window is small and the view is not good but that didn’t matter to us. The room was comfortable. There are a few washers and dryers at this hotel. They have a Dyson hair dryer . We had breakfast one day but not the other. It was very clear when we booked that they have limited breakfast seatings so pay attention to that when you book so you aren’t angry like one of the other reviewers. They offer a western option for breakfast which was very good. Most of the western breakfasts do not exactly match an American breakfast so don’t expect that. The staff were very helpful in helping us with a restaurant reservation. Our thanks to the staff for their excellent service

Very small, well appointed little hotel. Super sweet staff. Room was very clean. The only complaint is that the walls had lots is luggage scuff marks that can easily be dealt with. The location was good and we really enjoyed the sake bar.||Other than that, great little place!

A charming stay in a blend between a traditional and modern style of room. The room was spacious and featured a separate bath and shower. Free soba noodles at the dining area by the reception were delicious, as was the hojicha ice-cream on offer. We took advantage of the free bike rental and location near the central park to enjoy a lovely day biking around in the sunshine. Thoroughly recommended as one of the highlights of our trip in Japan.

The welcome was very congenial and especially from a lady who had lived in Melbourne. The room and beds were very comfortable and the lounge area very welcoming too. The Japanese breakfast was very nicely presented.

Yelp
This was such a lovely hotel. Clean, modern, with traditional Japanese touches. Located in a quiet area, but a close walk to several sites. Highly recommended.

Yelp
This hotel is filled with friendly staff, well decorated, with comfortable rooms. The included breakfast, which I got the English breakfast, includes fried egg, thick, bacon, spinach, four types of bread and is more than enough food. There are free juices and water and coffee all day. They also have free soba noodles from 9 PM to 11 PM in the lobby. It's very cute that you get a pair of clothes to wear around the hotel, including the lounge. there are two washing machines downstairs which also dry your clothes. The cost is very cheap, about ¥700 maximum. The staff speak English well. A bonus is that the hotel is very centrally located, and is near the Omichi market, the garden, and the castle, and the old part of town. Very easy to call a taxi by asking the front desk. The air conditioning works very well. The only thing that could be improved is they have no body lotion. Everything else is in the bathroom, including soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. They also have free toothbrushes.

Yelp
This wonderfully located hotel is close to Omicho Market and Kanazawa Castle. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and speak english. The rooms have ample space, modern in style, and clean. There's also free tea, juice, and sweets in the lobby all the time. Breakfast is an extra charge but plentiful and well prepared with either a western or Japanese style which must be selected the day before.

Yelp
This hotel was an amazing find. On this trip I stayed at 4 different locations and UAN Kanazawa was definitely one of the highlights and the best place that we stayed at. The location was so close to both the Kanazawa Castle as well as the Omicho Market and everything was within walking distance. The hotel offers drinks throughout the day/night and also has a night time free Soba which was delicious! We did not partake in the meals but I wish I had. The staff was friendly and the rooms were amazing! I could not believe the space and layout for the bed, bathroom, seating area, and balcony. If it wasn't so cold I would have been outside with my coffee or tea every morning/night but it was nice to watch the snow come down from the balcony. This location was a must return to location. I will definitely be back!
