Have had a traditional Melbourne Cup eve group dinner at Uber Mama for the last few years. The owners have always been very accommodating, creating a special menu for both adults and kids each year. The food is always good with friendly and efficient staff. Despite the large numbers, the meals are always well coordinated. There is also a great selection of beers, wine and other drinks. Highly recommend this restaurant for all occasions.

Food is delicious and the service is excellent. Great place to go for a casual drink or meal, menu has good variety ranging from Japanese, Mexican and Indonesian dishes. One of the better places to eat in Anglesea.

Very friendly staff who provided excellent service and were very helpful. Not a huge menu, but a pretty decent range, and stuff on there for veggies. Good game out pretty quickly, and was very tasty.

Lovely Asian food and fantastic service. The menu is quite surprising as it includes dishes from all around the world. I didn't expect much, i must be honest. Than i had my Indonesian main and my partner another Asian dish. They were both super tasty and considering how busy was the place the kitchen service was very fast too. Definitely a place to go back

After a horrendous experience with 13CABS. Me and my partner decided to walk 3.5km to this beautiful restaurant, thankfully the food and service salvaged our evening. Made up for our earlier disaster. On top of that one of the lovely ladies gave us a lift home after dinner service. Didn’t catch her name but she had an (American Accent) Fish and chips and steak was amazing!!! Thank you to the team at Uber mama we had a great time and will be back again x

Myself and three others nipped into Uber Mama for a quick lunch en route to Melbourne, and were delighted with our choice. Being a vegan and therefore usually pretty awkward to feed, I wasn't expecting much, but the Tofu burger with peanut satay and beetroot was delicious! The others with me had the lunch special of cheeseburger and chips for $12 and loved it. Service was fab, food was super affordable and sitting in the sun was a bonus!

Stopped by on Wednesday lunchtime. Checked the reviews and looked good. Can only add to that. Crispy fish fish tacos and drunken chicken wings were smashing. Worth a visit on your Great Ocean Rod trip.

Headed to Angelsea with friends and kids in tow on Sunday. Friends wanted to try Uber Mama at 113 Great Ocean Road Angelsea. We try to stay away from anywhere on the GOR till Winter arrives, but they wanted to do boats and bikes at the River. Had made a booking with Uber Mama direct day before, so that was OK. We were greeted by the maître d', who I presume was the owner also. We felt we needed to apologize for visiting the restaurant, and the wait staff during our meal were not much better. We tried to engage them about the weather, crowds etc, but just got a grunt each time. It was a hot day with a Northerly blowing, but they didn't bother to ask if we wanted more drinks till the end of the meal, by which time we decided we would head for Torquay and have an ice-cream, revenue we would of been happy to spend where we were. The selection of food was quite good, but everyone agreed the food was just average. This restaurant did not tick any boxes for me,.
