"Craft Beer, Craft Kitchen The good folks at Uberbrew are passionate about their suds, and have cultivated a loyal following among Montana beer nerds. Yet the brewery makes beer for all tastes - take the Irish Red Ale and the American Strong Pale Ale, for examples of accessible, sessionable pints. The kitchen turns out inspired fare like tempeh burgers, pear wontons, and the ever-popular Malibu chicken sandwich; pop in for a bite. ."

Stopped in for a drink and some food while passing through. Sam our bar tender was amazing. She was knowledgeable about the menu and beers on tap. 10/10 would recommend!

Google
Local brewery with a great selection of beers as well as really good food. The special that was available when we stopped by was a Phesant and dumplings plate that was amazing !! Our waitress Rainbow was very knowledgeable about all the different beer selections as well as the entire menu. Overall a great place for the whole family to enjoy good food and great beer !!

Google
Whenever I go to a concert downtown, I frequently stop at Uberbrew first. They have consistently great food and they make some of the best craft beer in Billings. I highly recommend the Bruce Scotch Ale and the amber lager. The staff are always friendly and helpful and will give great recommendations on what beers to try. Love this place!

Pauline Hoepfner

Google
Great place for a variety of beer and great food. The beingets were $12 for 3, and were over done. I would pass on them again.

Patricia Rodriguez

Google
Everything here was delicious! The Bruce was my favorite for beer. Had the fish and chips (subbed sweet potato fries) and my friend had the Uberburger. Everything down to the cole slaw and ranch was incredible!

I’m here at a conference, staying at the Double Tree. We ate a couple of restaurants downtown. They were perfectly adequate , a nice way of saying not good but the food and service here is over the top! Jacxson welcomed us in which made use feel less liked we belonged. Jacxson expanded our beer pallet with the best local beers I have tasted. The White Noise is light and refreshing and the Pink Slip IPA has a fruity flavor which enhances the hippiness of the IPA. Now, the food. The bison burger was cooked to a perfect medium rare as we ordered, seasoned to perfection and delicious. The fries were hot, crisp and not overly salty. Love, love this place!

Google
We are from out of town and Uberbrew is where we decided to eat on our only night in Billings. Kyle and the whole staff were so friendly. The food was excellent. My husband got the fried German hot dog and I got the chicken bowl.

Great service and food! Dry rub wings are super delish, Elk Sausage - oh yeah!!! I like all of the beers I sampled. Settled on Pink Slip

Yelp
Hitting up another Billings brewery, Uberbrew! I usually have good luck with fruited beer but on occasion they can come across as being too sugary. This was the positive occasion by getting their Pink Slip fruited beer. The balance was just right and lived up to it's name nicely. Flavor features to be on the lookout for with this beer are Raspberry, sweet and subtle. The subtlety is what pays off so well here and where I get the well balanced notion from. The beer is also very light bodied which is great and something Steve and are often desire. Good starting beer with this brewery!

Bernard B.

Yelp
Came in and the bartender (owner?) Kane yelled a greeting at me. Yelled as in "he projects well." It wasn't busy on a weekday after lunch, and he provided great customer service. i got the scottish ale i believe, which was tasty. He explained that this place is related to By all Means, which has more selections "on tap" to sample. I can see that parking might be tricky, but i parked my truck and trailer on the main drag a block away just fine. i recommend this place as well as the sister location, By All Means.

Yelp
What a fun place amongst the breweries in downtown Billings! It is super trendy and vibey the second you walk in. We went at a not very busy time. The waiter was AWESOME! He gave us his recommendations and answered all our questions. At the end of our visit, he even gave each one of us our own 4 pack of beers for free!!! That was a first! We ordered several fried appetizers that were hot and yummy. We especially liked the fried grilled cheese. We had never had that before. It had a good crunchy crust on it. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich which was fire! The description on the menu says "spicy slaw" and it does have a kick, so beware if you're not a fan of spice! My friends ordered the chicken bowl and wings. They all said it was great! I had their take on a margarita, but it was a beer. Interesting, but delish! The waiter even recommending mixing that beer with another and brought me out some to try. My friends had several other beers, and again, great reports! If you are in the area, definitely stop by!

Diane M.

Yelp
Fun, friendly staff. They knew their stuff and were a delight. Montana Mimosa did not disappoint

Amy M.

Yelp
Great beer, delicious food and excellent service! Try the fried chicken sandwich and the Montana burger, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Brewery visit 194 for me and I'm back in Billings, MT where I hit several breweries last year. I missed Uberbrew though but didn't let that happen this time. Uberbrew is a bright space with a huge bar and high ceilings. They had 12 beers on tap and a flight that would offer all 12. I decided not to go with that since it's still early and I have time to add another brewery to my visit list after this. I went with a flight of 4 instead. P.A.M. is a peach, apricot, mango beer with a nice aroma. I could definitely get peach and apricot but I'm not so sure I could pick out the mango. I really think the mango stood out more on the flavor though. I like this beer. The fruit stands out without too much sweetness. The Bruce! I always have to go with a Scotch ale when one is available. Very malty of course and with a little bite which I always associate with a Scotch ale. Honestly I'm not even sure what it is exactly, just a bit of heavy malt on the tongue without the sweetness I suppose. Tmave Pivo is a dark lager with a slightly burnt aroma and flavor. I don't mean that in a bad way but this was not a favorite of mine. Humulus Insani, "Hop Insanity" is billed as having 7 hop additions through the brew using chinook, simcoe, and citra hops. I picked out the citra hops right away both in aroma and flavor. This is a very good imperial IPA. Lots of flavor but moderate bitterness. I hadn't eaten all day and had been on two planes after getting up at 0300 so I ordered a bison burger. It was really good with a huckleberry BBQ sauce and pepper Jack cheese. Both the burger and fries were great. I would definitely come back to Uberbrew. Would that be abbreviated "UB"? Or just "U"? That seems a little weird. Anyway, the beers are well done and the food is great. Shoutout to Jacob to who took great care of me at the bar despite being busy. If anyone is a glutton for punishment, please, follow my brewery, and distillery, reviews from across the U.S. and beyond! https://www.yelp.com/collection/-8iscFkpiiCI563-FDfwGg and if anyone is wondering who SWPFTD is you will have to check out my review of Black Market Brewing Co in Temecula, CA to understand. Yes, you will need to read into it a little to get the joke but I have confidence in you!

KatManDo E.

Yelp
Meh...they were out of a bunch of stuff, which was disappointing because they had a small menu. Food was ok, nothing spectacular. Great ambiance and service but the place was 100% empty.

Lea M.

Yelp
The burger and fries were hot but honestly nothing extraordinary. I personally won't be back, the beer wasn't great either.

Bob M.

Yelp
Yelp says it's closed as I sit at the bar and write this. Coming in the bartender immediately greeted us and was really friendly. We ordered delicious beers, an appetizer, and got amazing service. Then the bartender told us the cook didn't feel our appetizer was up to his standards so they comped us for that one. Kyra was the bartender and she was great. Highly recommended.

Michael S.

Yelp
Was nearby (in Billings, MT) and decided to stop by Uberbrew. Glad I did! I had great flights/tastings of their beers. They have "All Tap Flight" for $28. I had that and really liked a number of them (The Bruce, 004 Brown Ale, and Kuhl Kolsch). They rotate different beers in. I also had the elk sausage with mac and cheese very good. Sean served me and made sure I had all I needed. If you are nearby, give it a try. Enjoy!

Jennifer Jill P.

Yelp
Sooooo good!! Let the pictures speak. Our server, Jake, was lovely too! And they cooked a hamburger patty for the pooch, with so much love!

Mark S.

Yelp
Visited in a Sunday. We had outstanding customer service. We made a special request and they went out of their way to accommodate us. We were elated. The menu has some brew pub standards such as burgers and wings...but there is little that is typical. When is the last time you had andouille sausage at a brew pub? Potato ale cheddar soup? How about poutine? This foodie is interested There are 4 different salads for salad lovers and vegetarians. With a couple easy substitutes, they could be vegan friendly too. Our order was taken quickly and our food brought to the table within 15 minutes. Everything was excellent. We didn't get a chance to sample the brews. We will be back though. Highly recommended!

Scott S.

Yelp
Taking off a star for serving us a raw burger (Uburger) and one because the manager refused to properly correct the mistake. Our server, on the other hand, was delightful and the beer was excellent.

H. M.

Yelp
Chill vibe, prompt and attentive service, and a cool atmosphere here. My hazy IPA was tasty and the food was delicious. My son, a burger snob, rated the burger "5 stars" and enjoyed his fries. I had the fried chicken sandwich which was crispy and delicious with a little kick, with refreshing slaw and delicious pickles. Don't miss the pretzel bites and melted beer cheese dip. We will definitely return next time we are in Billings!

Korinne T.

Yelp
Sam is the best. Great beer and the German egg roll was fantastic. If i was a local it would be my spot .

TJ H.

Yelp
I will start off by saying no matter what I say here, the food, service, and beer were better. We were greeted as soon as the whole party was inside. There were several parties already seated, not super busy, but not slow. The waitress Jess was hustlin', and she was amazing. We sat, she offered drinks, being a microbrewery, she was very knowledgeable of the beer offered, and could answer any questions I had. Did I mention I brought my kids to dinner? Jess was great with the kids too, the right amount of personality. Beers came. They were delicious. We ordered, again, super knowledgeable of the entire menu. Food came, I dipped my fries in the huckleberry bbq sauce and POP. There went my head. I can't tell you how amazing that was. The bison burger was amazing, the dill ranch, amazing. For a small microbrewery, they sure have things figured out. Small menu, huge delivery. If you like beer, go. If you like burgers, go. If you like food, go. Just go, because you'll enjoy the food and the service. I can't wait to go back to Billings now. Bison Burger, Bison Burger, elk sausage, fried chick sandwich, chicken tenders and Mac n cheese, with a perfect pretzel as an appetizer.

Lee H.

Yelp
Great beer, nice selection tonight. Food wise, burger came undercooked and the mac and cheese was strangely spiced. Much to their credit, our server made it right. Ended up with a good experience.

Lynn H.

Yelp
Two Words: CHEESE CRUNCHIES!!!!!!!!!! I have never had cheese crunchies but this is heaven. Fried and breaded cheese sandwiches really don't sound that good but it's stinkin' amazing. Order with ranch! This place has a lot of awards for many of their beers! I tired the Collab Kviek - This is the first time I have ever had a beer like this. It was a collaboration with Thirsty Street - I thought this was really good. Had a fruity flavor reminiscent of kiwi!

Michael M.

Yelp
First off great beer. I mean the hazy was fantastic. Secondly great food!! Last and the reason for the three stars was really lousy service. Then the supporting staff from what I saw was working but also watching this guy drown and die. He should have realized with a full bar and tables in his section that filling 12 growlers was a bad idea. We ordered a second beer to eat with out food and it never arrived. Finally we could have gotten it 20 minutes after we finished. I had the bison burger and the bbq sauce is amazing. I highly recommend. The onion strings were good but needed another minute in the fryer to make crispy Here is what I saw that disgusted me. The dishwasher came out with his Lipton ice tea bottle and filled it with Pepsi. The top of the bottle touched the bottom of the spout three times during his filling of the bottle. Disgusting. I would return as I think the food and beer are worth it. The service scares me though.

Melissa T.

Yelp
Every time i come to Montana i have to stop here. The smoked tomato soup is delicious. The tea is always good. Our waitress Chaney hopefully I'm spelling that right. Was so friendly.

Sharron Kay F.

Yelp
Located downtown and parking was a challenge. Tried a flight of craft beers as per the server's suggestion. All were very good. Good pub menu. Very modern atmosphere.

Kate D.

Yelp
Excellent food, fantastic service! Food was delish. Great variety. Our server, Sam, was super friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Greg S.

Yelp
Best meal and cleanest place I have eaten at in Billings, Montana. I had the Bison Burger and Pub Chips. She had the elk sausage and a salad. The Rap Dom beer is also the best beer I have had in this town full of breweries. Relaxed atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon, great beer, and good food. About time I stopped in here! No complaints!

Rick T.

Yelp
Some of the best beer with had during our day trip here. Not only was the beer good the food was delicious. Bison burger with huckleberry cream cheese on a everything bun was outstanding.

Karen M.

Yelp
We stopped in for a beer midafternoon. We had a great time sampling several beers and talking with the bar tender. Jackson was friendly, hospitable and courteous. He gave a great recommendations for dining in Billings. With the service we received, I expect he will go far in the Uber Brew organization.

Kari B.

Yelp
I'm posting on behalf of my husband who drinks beer. He was very impressed with all that he tried. Staff was great.

Yelp
I've only been to Uberbrew during COVID (early May), but the place great. And Rainbow, a bartender, was incredible. There were very few people in the bar when we visited, but there is a relaxed vibe, and everyone was super friendly. The bar is super nice, with a smooth concrete floor and an open ceiling with sky windows. After entering, you walk by several tables of various height and size. The bar is on the SW side in front of the brewing equipment. The bar has a black stone bar top with no rail, a wooden face, and square footrest. There are around 15-20 stools with a round seat, and low metal back support that really doesn't help much. The back bar has the taps, views into the brewery, and multiple HDTVs hanging above. Opposite the bar are several high top tables against a brick wall decorated with many of Uberbews's awards. The beers are excellent, with the Canu, Pink Slip, and White Noise being my favorites. We had eaten earlier, so we only had the pretzel, but it was delicious. Their other food looked good, but I cannot account for the taste. Uberbrew is an excellent place with an easy location near the tracks. Looking forward to spending more time here if I ever make it back to Billings. Hopefully, Rainbow still works there. She was awesome.

Chris T.

Yelp
Second trip to Uberbrew, great again, I had the elk sausage, wife had the bison burger, this time they have a huckleberry sauce on the burger , the wife liked this rendition of the bison burger better than when we stopped in 5 or 6 months ago , i though the bison burger was the best burger I've had yet , my 8 months in Montana. I do really like the way the do the fries here. I like a spicer sausage this one was mild but overall it was a good lunch ,

Randy S.

Yelp
Great place to have Lunch/Dinner! Love the Brewery atmosphere with fun ambiance. Lots of options on the menu. We chose the smoked wings with Maple Stout BBQ flavor as our appetizer. The main menu items listed had a wide range of choices. I had the Tri-Tip Chefwhich & house salad with wine vinaigrette. Diane had the Taproom Salad. Great service and very helpful with the menu items. Highly recommend Uberbrew!

Sue E.

Yelp
Have you been here yet! You should stop. I love craft beer and this has amazing options and great atmosphere. Remember your limited on how many and they close a bit early so you won't party all night!

Daryl G.

Yelp
They have one of the best cooks in billings, mt. Not much parking you got to park on street. We'll worth dilling with trying to find parking. Friendly staff. Little expensive but food cooked how you want it.

Chakeara K.

Yelp
#1: PAY SAM MORE MONEY. (I'm serious- I don't know why she is so humble, she's fantastic). #2: Beer is flavorful, clearly quality ingredients #3: food is pretty goddam good! Sam talked us through all of our too many questions about brews & food. We tried everything on tap & were able to pick our favorites. She told us all about the menu, and we settled on German egg rolls, fish & chips, and the chicken sandwich. The flavor was spot on, and so filling, and the exact right amount of food for us after a long day on the road. Warm environment, the brewery displays their awards on the wall, and after a tasting you will understand their comfort in putting their success on full display.

Jenny T.

Yelp
Don't pass this place up! We took Our kiddos 5 and 8 with us and I can't tell you how amazing this place is! The food is gourmet and the beer is off the hook! I just can't say enough about this place! It's a must!!

Beau S.

Yelp
Not only do these guys grow their own hops across the street, but the menu is seriously underrated. Bison, elk, fresh caught fish.... I mean come on. Top 3 restaurants in Billings, no question.

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Really good food, quick service and very friendly staff. The place was so beautiful inside and out!

Jen D.

Yelp
You couldn't find nicer staff and better beer around! This last week was a long, long week as I brought my mother to Billings for emergency brain surgery. After she made it into post-surgery ICU on Wednesday, I went out looking for a much needed beer and dinner. I've had Uberbrew's Pink Slip before, which I really like and went to their brewery to try some different beers. I asked Janell, who was working the bar, to pick out a beer because I was so sick of making decisions and she choose the Helles Lager, a limited release, which was the perfect choice after a long day in the hospital - just a delicious beer. For dinner, I got a quarter pounder burger and fries, both of which were excellent. The fries in particular had some sort of tasty, crispy coating, which I enjoyed. Janell then recommended Golden Ticket for my second beer, which was really nice as well. In addition to the great beer and food, Janell and other staff showed me genuine kindness. My mom is doing ok and is back home, but my trip to Billings was unplanned and difficult and I will always remember Uberbrew as a bright spot in a rough week. And I'll be buying their beer in Bozeman whenever I see it!

Don D.

Yelp
Olivia & Sean were the bee's knees all 6 of them!!! Food is delicious and the service is impeccable. All around great atmosphere!

Marci C.

Yelp
[4.5 stars] Made it just in time for happy hour (the start of happy hour, that is)! Happy hour is Monday-Friday from 2-5 PM. Got an early start :D Ordered the Cheese Crunchies from the happy hour menu. Instead of the standard 3 grilled cheese wedges, the happy hour version includes just 2. Expected an oily, rich, overly crunchy sandwich, but it was the complete opposite. Perhaps this was due in part to the fact that the sandwich is fried in panko? Whatever the reason, it's made well! I also loved that the cheese was not overwhelmingly sharp/strong. From the beer selection, ordered the most popular beer on the list, White Noise, which was crisp and refreshing. Had the option of adding an orange slice, and was glad I did, as the slight orange flavor enhanced the beer. Also ordered another popular beer (with a German name, but forget what it was called exactly), which I also enjoyed. Of the 2, White Noise was my favorite. SERVICE: Reasonable. The place wasn't busy, so the overall pace was a bit slower. OVERALL: Although I tried only 1 food item and 2 beers, Uberbrew seems to have tasty food and good beer. Definitely recommend!

Farrah L. A.

Yelp
The bartender was friendly and on top of our order. The appetizer came out quick. They were hosting trivia when we went.

Taylor B.

Yelp
Visited here as a last option for a place to eat and have a brew. Bad choice. No one was there and that should have been a bad sign to begin with. The manager guy then "warned" us against the entire lower menu of the beer section "Hop Lovers" as it might deter us from ordering. I'm not sure if he thought we were first timers to the micro brew game.... But we were only there because Angry Hanks doesn't serve food. The food we did receive was subpar.... The wings were undercooked and rubbery and the Happy Diner take-back sandwich, "cheese crunchies" was a weak imitation at best. The beer was sad. The service was weak. The chairs were uncomfortable. I won't be back and suggest you don't bother either. Go to Hanks and get yourself a red.

Jmarc P.

Yelp
Really liked this place! Decided to try a couple of places during a stay in Billings...Carters and Uberbrew. Carters only has beer but Uberbrew has food so we saved that for last. Sat at the bar and the young man serving us was very friendly and informative and we had some good conversation. I sampled the fruit beers and, although I'm not a fan of those, they were light and refreshing...my daughters would love them! I went with the Humulus Insani and it was delicious!! Better than what I tried at Carters; I would definitely come back for that one! For food we had smoked wings and Bison burger. The wings were fantastic and the Bison burger was very good!

Mustafa T.

Yelp
Nice people. OK food. Couldn't try their beers because they can't pour after 8pm due to their license. Tried their beer elsewhere and it was good. Be sure to pop in before 8pm.

Sarah L.

Yelp
Friendly service and great food. First time having bison burger which was gooood. Nothing to complain.

Steve H.

Yelp
Great spot, good atmosphere, and the service was wonderful. They have a good selection of beers and good prices. They're menu was a good variety of classic American bar food.

Rebekah L.

Yelp
We wanted a good pit stop during our trek through Montana and Billings was a perfect midpoint. We used Yelp to find this highly recommend place. Unassuming and chill off the main stretch on Montana Avenue. The brews are delicious from their APA, to a Mexican style lager, and even this Chili Beer. Beyond the beer the food is next level as well. We got the dry rub wings, Mac N Cheese, Chix sandwich and beef tip which and fries. We left full and happy. Service was fantastic and quick and during this time of social distancing - it was safe, clean and masking was observed. Stop in! You won't be disappointed.

Daniel K.

Yelp
Nice brewpub experience. Clean infrastructure. Friendly service. Decent beer selection. Price to food quality was a bit off but not outrageous. They had a kids menu but high top seating not the most conducive to children. Not a destination but not a bad choice if in area.

Brad B.

Yelp
I feel like everything on this Yelp page needs to be erased and you should start from scratch. It's very misleading to read all the positive reviews and see all the old pictures from when the food was great and the menu was diverse. I used to come here all the time and it was the first place I would recommend to anyone visiting Billings but now I'd rather just buy the beer at the store. I don't know what's going on at this restaurant but I don't like it. New owner? New chef? New menu? Whatever happened you ruined a good thing. We were so disappointed in our meal there. I had the tri tip sandwich, which I was hoping was going to be similar to the sandwich they used to have... It wasn't, it was very dry, not very smokey, chewy, covered in a BBQ sauce that was way too sweet, and had one single sad slice of cheese on top of it for no apparent reason. Smoked wings used to be my favorite wings in town. They're still smoky but the skin was so chewy and the meat wasn't very tender. I've never had a chicken wing where the skin was crispy and chewy at the same time. The wings used to be fall-off-the-bone perfect every time. All the sauces are different now too. You get 2 options: regular ol Buffalo or overly sweet bbq. The Firebird sauce is gone for some reason, as is the habanero. Sauce is cheap and lasts forever in the cooler, why cut it down to only 2 sauces?? We also had the grain salad which sounded promising on the menu but was pretty mediocre really. Alright now to the worst part: Tri-tip sandwich, grain salad, smoked wings, 6 beers..... $80 before tip, for disappointing food that they present on new fancy plates. I will say the beer is still incredible here so thank goodness for that. Thank you brewmaster, you're the real MVP. We just had an unforgettable experience at Walkers last night for about the same price. I didn't go to Uberbrew for Walkers-level food though, I just wanted great beer, an Uberburger (it's gone) and some beer cheese soup (they changed that too and ruined it). All I want is the old Uberbrew back . Whoever is changing everything there should listen to the people. I've read a few other reviews from disappointed patrons so I'm glad I'm not the only one that needed to speak up. It doesn't make any sense to take something that everyone loved exactly the way it was and have the chef change it to suit their own personal interests instead of that of the customer. Feels like some kind of hostile takeover...

zac i.

Yelp
Great vibes with the sun roof, service has always been fair and kind. Beer is local and they do events from time to time, great place to stop by if your in the area. The burgers are where it's at!

Randy R.

Yelp
Went there for lunch with a salesman before I dropped him at the airport. Service was fast and food was good. Great place to eat
