Ubumwe Grande Hotel

Gorgeous views. Great food. Amazing atmosphere. This beautiful restaurant is a must see. They easily accommodated our group of 35. I recommend wearing a nice outfit for dinner here. We had the buffet, but we saw lovely entrees being served, as well! I highly recommend this restaurant for dinner!

If you want GREAT views and HORRIBLE food, you’ve come to the right place. Ubumwe boasts a very calm and relaxing atmosphere to take in Kigali’s skyline! The food on the other hand? Our pizza was dry, tasteless, and just topped with hard cheese. Would only recommend for afternoon tea or something along those lines.

Beautiful hotel! Spacious, clean, and modern rooms. Bathroom was spacious and well furnished. The space was quiet. WiFi was fantastic. Absolutely loved the stay and would recommend!

The service is commendable, and the hotel's central location in Kigali facilitates convenient travel. The cuisine is delightful, and the staffs are professional. The rooftop restaurant offers a panoramic vista of the city.

We dined at the rooftop restaurant/bar. Best views in kigali. Great service, and great food. Chicken burgers, Ceasar salad, and chicken samosas were delicious.

I was really looking forward to staying at this hotel, but it turned out to be a big disappointment. The air conditioning didn’t work at all during my entire 4-night stay.|The bathroom constantly smelled terrible, likely due to a drainage issue, and after every shower, water flooded the entire space. At one point, there was no electricity, no water pressure, and since I was on the 7th floor, the elevator also stopped working—making things even worse. We reported all these issues to the front desk multiple times, but they only gave empty promises and never followed up. The only thing I enjoyed was the breakfast.

The room is luxurious, nothing to complain about (panoramic suite view). The service, however, could be better. The scanner at the entrance is tiring every time I come back to the hotel. The staff are not welcoming—very few people return your greeting. They are not proactive (I had to follow up just to get an iron). Although the room was cleaned, my personal belongings and even the hotel items (like the bathrobe) were not put back in order. To top it off, they cleaned the room and forgot to put the bed cover back. Three nights for over €400 – the stay is VERY EXPENSIVE for the level of service provided.
