Ubuntu Beach Villas by Reveal

We stayed here for 6 nights with our entire large family filling up all 8 rooms of the villa! All staff were extremely accomodating and super courteous. We felt extremely looked after by Akthar, who was attentive and ensured we were being looked after at all times :) a special shout out to the chefs and other staff members that made sure we were looked affer! We loved our stay and can’t wait to visit again. This stay is for families/couples looking for a slow paced relaxing holiday. All the rooms were clean :)

We loved this place - the room was great and the beds were very comfortable. Our room was garden facing and very spacious. The grassy lawn and beach area had lots of outdoor seating and two hammocks. There is a kitchen where you can keep any drinks you want, etc. The service was bespoke and we were treated very well by the professional and well trained staff. The surf was too big to swim in, however. We saw sea turtles constantly and found it a very relaxing place to stay. Strong WiFi

Wow, what a peaceful amazing setting for a hotel with friendly staff. I am writing a review for Ubuntu, as that's where we stayed with 'Reveal', but we frequently ate at the Lantern 50m down the beach (also owned by 'Reveal') This hotel is set on one of the quietest beaches we've ever seen, with lovely swimming pools, which was perfect for our Honeymoon break at the end of a very busy itinerary travelling around Sri Lanka. We had the Superior Beach View Room, which was amazing, with fantastic views. The breakfast was very good, you have the choice of eating at Ubuntu or 50m down the beach at their Lantern hotel (they also offer a free Tuk Tuk hotel ride if you don't want to walk the short distance) As with all of the Sri Lankan people we met during our honeymoon, we met some wonderful people at Ubuntu (& Lantern). I would like to mention a few that were fantastic during our stay: Ruchira, he was the first member of staff we spoke with and was the one we spoke with the most during our stay, he was very smiley and so kind, and very attentive. Krishande, the Ubuntu butler, he was also very smiling and happy and was very excited to see us, he always made our room look amazing every day. Sandaru, thank you so much for looking after us, also very smiley and a kind young man. Thushara, was very polite, kind and made us some great drinks. he was very attentive during our stay. Heshani, was very attentive and sorted out any questions or issues we had. She also had very good English skills. And lastly, Nayajath, the manager at the Lantern, was very giving and when he heard it was our honeymoon, arranged for us to have their signature dining experience on the beach, something we will always remember. We are so happy to have met you all, thank you so much for your hospitality and kindness. We will miss you all! Ps. We stayed at Ubuntu Beach Villas in Mirissa and had an absolutely unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations and made our stay truly special. The villa itself is stunning, with beautiful views and a calm, relaxing atmosphere that makes it easy to switch off and enjoy every moment. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and incredibly comfortable, and waking up to the sound of the ocean was a dream. The pool and outdoor areas were perfect for relaxing and soaking in the surroundings. What really made our stay exceptional, however, was the staff. A huge shout-out to Maleesha, the chef — his food was absolutely amazing. Every meal was delicious, beautifully presented, and clearly prepared with so much care and talent. On top of that, Maleesha was incredibly kind, friendly, and always happy to help, which made dining such a highlight of our stay. We also want to give a big thank you to Aktar, our butler, who was extremely nice, attentive, and helpful throughout our visit. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, always with a warm smile. Overall, Ubuntu Beach Villas is a truly special place with outstanding service, amazing food, and a wonderful team. We couldn’t recommend it more highly and would absolutely love to return in the future.

We stayed at Ubuntu Beach Villas in Mirissa as a family of six over New Year’s Eve and New Year, for four unforgettable days, and it was absolutely incredible. We had the sea view room, and it honestly took our breath away. The views were insane, and the bed was unbelievably comfortable — waking up to the ocean each morning was a dream. The pools and sunbeds were stunning and made it easy to relax all day. What truly made our stay exceptional was the staff. A massive shout-out to Aktar, our butler, who was incredibly attentive, informative, and always one step ahead of our needs. Malesha, the chef, was outstanding — the food was some of the best we’ve had. He is extremely talented and went above and beyond to make every meal special. Ajith in the Lantern was also fantastic, and the housekeeping team were brilliant, kind, and meticulous. The New Year’s Eve celebration deserves a special mention — it was absolutely spectacular. Incredible food with a huge variety of cuisines, live music, and fireworks. The amount of effort and care that went into the evening was very noticeable and made it such a memorable way to welcome the New Year. We couldn’t recommend Ubuntu Beach Villas more highly. An unforgettable experience, and we can’t wait to return.

A little idyll for 8 12. guests in one of their 3 locations. All locations handled independently with a distance of 300 m between each other - that makes it so comfortable, cosy. The service provided by by service staff, especially by our butler and waiter Aktar was outstanding, personal, courteous, reliable, friendly but never intrusive. The culinary skills of the chefs Maleesha and Ishan were also imaginative, outstanding, typical of the country, and delicious! Thank you so much, all three of you! The seafood buffet with a table on the beach at sunset, torches, and candles was especially unforgettable. A secluded beach with nightly visits from turtles coming ashore to lay their eggs, a nice beach restaurant nearby, a clean pool (always proper) at a bungalows. A wonderful stay, will never forget! Thank you so much!

We travel a lot around the world, and this has been the best place so far, not only for the location, privacy and quality for money, but mainly for the staff. Heshani from the beginning until the end of our stay had been professional, attentive and made our stay personalized, and nothing was a problem for her. Akhtar, our butler for most our stay, we never had been treated better and more personally anywhere, we believe that he should be in a management position. Our breakfast cooked by the super chef Ravindu, was every morning prepared to perfection, both taste and presentation, especially the best SriLankan pancakes. Rooms and all hotel premises in all accommodation were spotless and cleaning staff would always come to ask if everything was up to our expectations. 100% recommended!

Amazing boutique hotel and nice to be a little out of the main area which is busy, albeit only a 5 min tuk tuk away. Akthar was our host and couldn’t have been more delightful, friendly and was always there to help or get you anything day or night. Maleesha the chef was on point with everything. We had the upstairs rooms with views of the beach which were worth the money, feels like you are on the beach when all the sliding doors are opened. Fantastic hotel and would highly recommend, the staff are so lovely, gentle and helpful.
