"MoLI, as the museum is called, evolved from the shared desire to exhibit James Joyce artifacts from the National Library of Ireland's collection at Newman House—where Joyce sharpened his pencils as a student at University College Dublin. Although Joyce’s work and artifacts anchor the collection, the museum’s mission expanded to explore diverse facets of Irish literature over a vast stretch of 1,500 years."
