Great time walking this, better during the later not middle of the day kind of hike.

A nice little trail on the UCF campus that is open to the public, year round. I believe it's 1.2 miles around with a single track mtn bike loop where a helmet is needed. Saw a few birds along the way. There are plenty of picnic tables around if you want to bring lunch.

It was really hot out, but it’s a lovely walk. Wild flowers galore! Walk the perimeter and cut through little by little, so you take it all in and can log more miles. It’s wet in the southeast part. There are MTB trails here too. I didn’t see a soul until I crossed one person coming in literally on my way out. Perfect! 🙌🏼🥾💚🌳🌲

Love this place! I did 4 years of undergrad at UCF and never fully utilized this amazing nature preserve until years later. Really great nature trails that are well marked with beginner, intermediate, etc. It is a great place to bring the dogs and family for a nice picnic by the lake or hike in the woods. Also seems like it has great off-road bike trails! I don't bike myself but I see jumps and things all around and it looks challenging. Highly recommend overall and a great way to spend a nice day on the weekend.

Nice spot for a little trail preschool aged kids could manage. They especially enjoyed the boardwalk and it was nice and shady in there. See the website for parking instructions which is on the grass and don’t forget bug spray!

Beautiful place. Lovely trails. Went with my friend and accidentally walked 6 miles. Would do it again and will do it again.

Who can resist a walk with nature? Whenever I’m stressed or just need time to think, I come here. It’s a hidden gem

Very pretty park with various walking trails and benches around the lake to relax by. The sandy trails are sometimes a pain to walk on, but overall nice and well kept

Yelp
This is a large park area on campus that has multiple trees and some picnic tables. It never seems to be busy and is mainly for people that are relaxing or walking around. i've never seen anyone playing games or sports in this park so I'm not sure if it's allowed.

Yelp
The arboretum is a significant part of our campus. It provides educational activities, safe hiking trails, social events, volunteering and internship opportunities for its students. If you have any questions, there are always helpful staff in the building out front during operating hours. My favorite parts are the painted boardwalk and the designated hammocking areas. There are also lots of benches, tables, photo ops, and picnic spots for any kind of gathering. Even though there is some sheltered seating, it's definitely not weatherproof. Something I've noticed more of this semester is their plant sales! Every once and a while, students can also grab a few free seed packets or small sprouts at events. In terms of plants you can eat, some of their harvest definitely goes to knights helping knights pantry, which is available to anyone with a valid campus ID. Come out and bird watch sometime!!

Yelp
An arboretum is a botanical collection of trees. Knowing how much I love plants and nature my daughter gave me a tour of her UCF campus arboretum during a recent visit to her school. Parking on campus can be tricky but there is a pay lot next to the arboretum outside of Flagler Hall in the Libra community. The arboretum was established by then UCF President Trevor Colbourn in 1983. Originally it consisted of 12 acres of a disturbed pond pine community on the east side of campus. President Altman expanded it further in 1988 to include 5 acres of cypress dome, 3 acres of oak hammock, and 15 acres of sand pine and Florida scrub. Today the arboretum covers 80 acres and contains more than 600 species of plants. In 2009 a community organic garden was added. The UCF arboretum contains three miles of hiking and biking trails. In February of 2020, volunteers got together to create UCF's first mountain biking trail through the arboretum. Free tours are offered to the public and UCF students use this a living laboratory. The arboretum is open everyday from sunrise to sunset.

Yelp
A cool little spot tucked away within the University of Central Florida that allows people a chance to walk amongst the trees and the opportunity to commune with nature even when you are mere feet from civilization. This little oasis of trees and dirt truly allows you the opportunity to walk a path and feel as if you are at one with nature, when the reality is that you are on the grounds of the country's second largest university and feet from a main road. There is a boardwalk within this path that is colorfully adorned with kids leaving a message to those around them. All in all I found this a pleasant respite from the world. A place to flee the stress of the modern world and communicate not only with the natural world around me, but to communicate with my soul within.

Yelp
Beautiful. Went on the trails and explored the landscape. Highly recommend the trail that has a wooden walkway it is short but very cool. There's paintings everywhere

Yelp
Pretty chill place to hang out! Definitely one of the nicer places to be on campus. There's a walking path. Plenty of open space. Tables to picnic at. And even special palm tree setups for hammocks!
