I was craving anticuchos, so I decided to try Uchu Steakhouse. To my surprise, they didn’t serve real anticuchos, but they were still tasty. The maracuya juice was too sweet for my taste, but it was homemade and refreshing, unlike the store-bought flavor. As appetizers, we had guacamole and their version of anticuchos. For the main course, I ordered mixed cuts of chicken, sausage, and beef, grilled and served on a hot volcanic stone with sweet potatoes and house salad. I was glad I had chosen sweet potatoes instead of potatoes, as they were dried (my mom ordered the andean potatoes). For dessert, I ordered a chocolate cake that was like a molten lava cake with chocolate mousse, and a chocolate truffle sitting there on the side. It was good, but not the best fine chocolate I’ve ever had. I wish the dessert had been accompanied by lucuma or vanilla ice cream to cut through the chocolate sweetness. Overall, the food was good, but not the best I’ve ever eaten, especially for the price. I don’t think I’ll be returning.

We visited this restaurant on our first evening in Cusco (Oct 28), and we have absolutely no regrets about choosing it! The atmosphere was cozy, the staff were incredibly kind, and the food was just amazing. It was my first time trying alpaca steak. It tasted a bit like lamb, and my partner loved it so much! A special thanks to our friendly server "Omar", who provided such warm and attentive service throughout our meal. Sorry for leaving this review a bit late! If any Koreans happen to read this review, I highly recommend this place! The dishes suit Korean tastes very well, and the local staff are so welcoming toward Korean guests. It’ll be a truly special experience. 🇰🇷💛🇵🇪

The meal started off fine. Had the ceviche, tasty. Ordered the ribs for main and this is when it when down hill fast. The slab of ribs comes out with all their condiments, chips and salad, looking impressive. Then it came time to carve in and eat the ribs. These ribs were so dry you could have made a saddle out of them! So we informed the waiter, he came back offering a piece of llama as a substitute instead, we declined as we were put off by the poor quality of ribs still sitting in front of us. We continued with the chips and salad, finally the ribs were removed when we finished those. The manager comes over and tried to explain to us that this is how they serve their ribs( completely over cooked and inedible) I doubt it. They wouldn’t comp the meat even though the same dish that arrived was the one that left the table. Deciding a discount is all we will get. Noting the table next to us also sent back their steak for being murdered. Over all. It started well and ended in a catastrophe. Pick another steakhouse.

Excellent food and excellent attention to detail. I reluctantly tried Alpaca for the first time and it was incredible! The staff even remembered that I was celebrating an anniversary. Probably the best dining experience my entire Cusco visit.

Spent a week in Cusco and ate here twice! We had the good fortune of having Manu serve us both times. He was friendly and made sure all of our wants were met. The food was quick and delicious! My only regret is that I’m no longer in Cusco to enjoy this steakhouse again!

We went in without reservation for party of 8. At first they said only have table of 4person x2table. We wait a while and they got us 8 person table and private. Thanks for your great hospitality. For food , without question, Hot stone steak is the best here. Our server Deyvid is so helpful. If I comeback to Cusco, will definitely come to eat here again. The price is reasonable.

This was the first restaurant we ate in Cusco. The stuffed shrimp potatoes are a must. The meat combo was alright, we weren’t too wowed by it. The trout soup was very flavorful and fresh. Reservations are a must. They tend to be completely booked during the weekends. However, we were able to get a table outside - a bit chilly but it wasn’t too bad.

Loved Uchu. We came for lunch with our two young kids. The food was delicious and the kids loved seeing the meat cooked on the hot stone. It’s upscale but affordable and not pretentious. Ugh and the ribs were soooo good. Also love that it’s local family owned and not some global corporation.
