This was our second visit to Hotel Udaigarh after 2015. We chose to come back mainly for the beautiful Lake Pichola view from the rooftop restaurant. Not much has changed over the years except they’ve now added an elevator, which is a nice improvement. The stay was pleasant, and the food and ambience were both good. The only downside is that the terrace opens only after 8 AM, so you miss the early morning lake view. A lot has changed in the surrounding area — cars are no longer allowed, so you have to take an autorickshaw from Sitala Mata Gate and then walk about 200–300 meters. The hotel staff are helpful and will send someone to carry your luggage if needed.

Great hotel, very nice with an authentic rajasthani decor. Breakfast is good with great lake views - not a buffet - but can order foods including omlettes, pancakes, paratha, aloo poori. Also has a rooftop swimming pool which is nice with great views but has short opening hours (8.30am to 6.30pm). Restaurant for dinner is also nice and candlelit. Overall very nice and good value for money with great service, would come back.

Great Stay with a Fort-Style Experience! We had a really good stay at this hotel. The rooms are beautifully designed in a fort style, which gives a unique experience—it truly feels like living in a fort, and that’s the best part. The pool was excellent—super clean and very well maintained. The terrace where the pool is located offers an amazing view of the lake and nearby palaces. Swimming with that view was a highlight of our trip! We didn’t face any hassles during our stay. While the hotel doesn't have its own parking, there's a parking area within walking distance, which was fine for us—but something to keep in mind. The hotel staff were very sweet and the overall service was good. However, we found the restaurant staff could have been more polite—their service didn’t quite match the level of the rest of the hotel. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this hotel for its unique ambiance, great views, and comfortable stay!

Had an amazing stay at Udaigarh! The location is perfect, very close to the main sights. The rooms are great value for money and the views from the restaurant were beautiful. The food at the restaurant is amazing. Very delicious, lots of options and very friendly staff. Would highly recommend staying here!

I stayed at Udaigarh from 12th to 13th August, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. While the property has nice rooftop view of Lake Pichola, that’s about the only highlight. The rooms are underwhelming for the price, with basic amenities that don’t match the heritage charm the hotel tries to project. The food was disappointing in taste and quality — definitely not worth the premium rates. The most shocking part of my stay was the staff’s attitude. They were unprofessional and, at times, outright rude. One staff member even knocked on my door at 11:30 PM to collect payment for food I had ordered earlier in the day, instead of settling it at checkout. This was intrusive and unnecessary, disrupting what should have been a restful night. Overall, apart from the view, the experience was average at best. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Stayed here from 12th to 13th August — never again. The only good thing about this place is the rooftop view, and that’s where the positives end.||Rooms are overpriced and nothing special. Food is below average and not worth the money. But the real deal-breaker is the staff — rude, unprofessional, and completely lacking basic hospitality. One staff member even knocked on my door at 11:30 PM just to collect payment for food I had ordered in the morning. Ever heard of settling bills at checkout? Apparently not here.||This place survives only because of its location and view. Everything else — service, rooms, food — is a letdown. Save your money and book somewhere else.

The hotel is perfectly located. Magnificent roof terrace with the restaurant. Very nice reception and housekeeping staff. The hotel is located in an old building, it is nicely decorated, but it is not a typical haveli. Very good massage services.

We had a great time at the hotel. From nicely organized rooms to tasty food on the beautiful rooftop terrace, it was very good. We loved the pool and views from there as well, so relaxing. And all of the staff were very helpful and we especially appreciated Pradeep's assistance. He kindly arranged a fantastic cultural show and transportation. But mostly he thoughtfully answered our many questions and shared interesting info.
