First time experience of taiwan hostel, the room and the setting, interior design, all very comfortable and classic. All the staff were really nice and helping, I left my hair soap in the room asked the staff checked for me, they checked twice per my request and finally found it, without being any impatient. But the reason I left a not very positive rating Is because what happened when we came back to pick up our luggage after we checked out early in the morning. There was a very long queue of people who just arrived waiting for check in. There were 3 staff at the counter. I approach the one near the elevator, a female staff with short hair, waited for her to finish the guest so I can hand in our luggage card, instead of asking us to wait aside and assign another staff to help us, she asked us to wait at the end of the line with all the other new Visitors. I then further explained that we just pick up luggage not check in, she insist that we need line up at the end. I was really disappointed and I find this is very unreasonable. I would understand that we need to wait until next available staff can help us or we might need wait long if there is only one staff. Otherwise, picking up luggage is very different from counter checkin. Clients picking up luggage most time means they will head of to station or airport, a bit more understanding and better arrangement will be really helpful as well as under professional customer service. We ended up waited half an hour till all the visitors finished the check-in. More ironically, when we were about to leave, I saw a different staff helped another lady to get her luggage while other staff were servicing the check-in of new visitors. I don't understand what is this staff's issue with us,but I felt very differentiated service. Very disappointing. Staff should be trained not only following the policies also show genuine care and understanding of customers when they need some help.
