Uijae Museum of Korean Art

This museum is small but incredibly beautiful. It is very much worth stopping by and the 2000KRW entry fee. Gorgeous local area to explore and it was one of the highlights of my trip.

Intriguing paintings and comfortable space for afternoon tea

Nice small museum with art from the last 200 years. There is a discount for groups (at least 20 people, the staff csn be a bit stupid and suggest 17 people to buy the more expensive single tickets even if it was cheaper if you would pay for 3 non existent persons). Worth a short stop on the way up though. It took just 45 min inside for us

如果觀覽無等山，可以順道來美術館走走。美術館建成已經有二十多年歷史，建築曾獲韓國大獎。1891年在珍岛出生的毅斋先生是20世纪韩国南宗画派大师。晚年在光州创作、教学。他在日本学习绘画技艺，画风承袭了中国山水画、写意画的特点。

차를 좋아해서 요즘 한국차 공부에 빠진 여자친구랑 전라남도 여행을 하는 김에 광주에서 들른 의재미술관인데 티세트가 입장료 포함된 게 있어서 주문했는데 춘설빵까지 세트라 더 좋았어요. 다만 주차장에서 미술관 입구까지 어마어마한(?) 산길을 걸어올라가야 해서 하필 폭염주의보가 발령된 날에 방문해서 더 힘들었어요. 최소한 미술관까진 차량 이동이 가능하면 좋을 텐데 그점 빼곤 다 좋았어요.
