Ukelele Hostel

We stayed in a private. The bed covers smelled. So they obviously haven't washed them for a while. Compared to other hostels in Montevideo for the same price, this one didn't give towels and the private didn't have a restroom.

Staff was helpful and fluent in multiple languages(Amanda and Guadalupe) , the rooms and common areas were kept clean, 24hour reception, pool piano and guitar. Stayed pretty quite at night and the staff was worth staying here alone.

Great hostel in an old beautiful house close to all the major attractions in Montevideo Uraguay plus, it's own pool and, Milton the cool hostel cat, only 1 tiny issue, the mattress's where just bit thin, it still gets a 5 from me, apart from that it is really cool hostel.

Everything was broken. They had almost no outlets. They had a cat, which it didn't say on their website, and it actually went into the rooms (which is not good for someone allergic like me). After having used the Wifi for 24 hours you have to make an account on their website to be able to keep using it, and it keeps going on and off. Really bad. Some days the breakfast doesn't last for all the hours they say they serve it. At least the beds were decent and they had a pool (although dirty).

The Place is run down, the mattresses are too thin, the toilet seat wasn't attached, the shower light didn't work, and the hostel is located in a Dodgey area. To top it off, The Hosts are Not Very Welcoming and it felt like I was intruding in the 6 or so resident's place. ... I won't be coming back.

Great hostel in a huge house. Nice breakfast, comfy beds, good showers and nice common areas. WiFi was good too. Staff are really helpful with anything you need.

Best hostel in Montevideo!! I didn't stay here but I was visiting friends there and they have a pool, kitchen area and the house is very high ceiling.

Very well located hostel in Montevideo. The building is historic and well maintained with friendly staff members.
