Wonderful Island! A lot of construction is going and in a few years won't be the same, but probably the place will have another charm. Enough delicious restaurants (sea, thai, indian, italian) Great reefs to both beach sides, different in corals and marine life. Wort it. Around the island, there are also different snorkelling coral spots, which are even more generous and beautiful than this on the island. Cheap, exotic fruits. Recommended

Well where to begin. The beach and sea are stunning, so alive with fish, sharks of various sizes. Manta rays and whale sharks on boat trips aswell are sand bank picnics and other options. The island inside the beach area is not good, lots of construction, litter/building material waste, uncompleted jobs and metal shuttering. We were so surprised as we were expecting the paradise island advertised. We're still glad we came but you have to see beyond the mess. Sorry we would not return to this island and would recommend looking at other islands without these issues. It doesn't feel right to add negative photos so here's the beach and some lemon sharks from the harbour.

It was a beautiful island few years ago. Now everywhere construction work and the roads are in a very bad condition, specially after rain. Also everywhere garbage and dirt. The bikini beach is still ok, but don't want to imagine how overcrowded it will be, when all the big hotels are open. Can't recommend it anymore

More development present here, sidewalks are present, roads will be next. At time of review (nov 24) quite a lot of new buildings are being constructed so there can be some noise. Friendly people. Baby sharks.

How is it possible to let a beautiful island under garbage? Garbage everywhere, lots of building under construction, some of them too close to the beach. It is shocking when you arrive here, expectation from internet vs. what you actually find here. We cancelled our accommodation and we’ll leave today.

The island doesn't look the same as on Google Maps. A significant portion of the island, where there used to be a picturesque place with a blue lagoon, has simply been filled with sand! They're expanding the island for money, but destroying nature! The island is very dirty. The locals don't care about the trash at all. They only want to ride mopeds and not clean up their living area... it's a shame! I wouldn't recommend this island for a visit. Construction every few meters. Muddy roads after the rain and litter everywhere.

Small, quiet and beautiful island. 90 minutes with speed boat from Male, with great small sandy beach and thick vegetation. You need to have aqua or swimming shoes cause it might look sandy inside but with corals starting from near the beach it's impossible to swim with naked feet! No worries cause marine life will refund you swimming with small shark around and incredible fishes. Lots of restaurants with fresh fish, coffee shops, bars but without alcohol..the funny thing is that food is sometimes cheaper than coffee!!! it was very pleasent and budget stay at this island and defilately worth a visit

Beautiful island with habitants. Start from fishing village and won green leaf award in 2014 from their government as they do apply recycle, reused and reduce also green way to preserve the island. 90 minutes from Male Velana International Airport by speedboat. Well maintain and huge jetty for both commercial and people used. Most importantly this island far from pollution as they do not have so much vehicles here, less carbon release from open burn. Use solar for electricity. And fresh water available in every resorts here. Good and polite people. Very nice scenery. Resort and guesthouse with very affordable and attractive prices. Clean white sandy beaches of course especially at their bikini sand beach. Attractive cafes offered great beverages... But no alcohol obviously as this is Muslim country. 1 big mosque nearby the Jetty do Muslim tourist you don't have to worry about praying time here. Impressive services by every resorts and guesthouses here where they really show their Truly Maldivian hospitality have to offer. Shark point or turtle view area. Optional activities such as Snorkeling to another island. Swimming with giant manta fish... Which was very amazing experience for me. Island hopping activities. Sand Bank visits and romantic beach dinner offered by most resorts. What else you wish to have for cheap / affordable vacation price.... Only in this Ukulhas island. Be there and u absolutely agree with me
