I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ulekan Berawan, and it was an unforgettable experience! The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for a cozy meal with friends or a romantic dinner. Ulekan is one of those rare Bali restaurants that gets everything right — atmosphere, service, and truly exceptional Indonesian food. We’ve been a few times now, and it keeps getting better. The moment you walk in, the space feels calm and beautifully put together, perfect for a relaxed family dinner or a date night. The staff are incredibly friendly and great with kids, which always makes the whole experience so much easier. The food is the real standout. Every dish feels like a refined take on traditional Indonesian flavours — rich, balanced, and made with real care. The beef rendang, corn fritters, and the sate are favourites, and the desserts always surprise us. Portions are generous without losing that “elevated dining” feel, and everything comes out quickly and beautifully presented. It’s one of our go-to spots in Canggu because you know you’ll always get amazing food, warm service, and a relaxed, memorable evening. Highly recommend.

I’ve visited this restaurant twice during my stay in Bali, and both times were lovely experiences. Even as a solo diner, I felt very comfortable here. Sitting by the window was especially peaceful and relaxing, perfect for enjoying a quiet meal. What really stood out to me was the service — the staff always had warm, genuine smiles, which made me feel truly welcomed and well taken care of. It’s a place where you can slow down and feel at ease. I would happily come back again.

Delicious food and a lovely experience in Bali. Sate Babi Samcan was my favorite- tender, juicy, and perfectly smoky. The Wood Roasted Clams were rich and flavorful, slightly bold for my taste but still enjoyable. Nasi Campur was comforting with soft white rice and tender chicken. My drink looked beautiful, but unfortunately tasted quite bland and forgettable. The space reflects strong Balinese cultural elements while still feeling modern. It’s airy, well-designed, and creates a very relaxing, comfortable atmosphere for guests.

Berawa or be aware of. It's a trap a tourist trap presented in a beautiful setting offering decent but highly over priced Indonesia cuisine. There is nothing wrong with the food options or the quality of it but you can easily get as good and better local cuisine for less money. So why the low score you might ask, well if you spent your money at this restaurant category and class you shouldn't be given the run around. Let me explain So it's the rainy season in Bali and this place offers a nice seating area outside under itd beautiful trees. We sat down , ordered 15 dishes and of course the rain started. It's mother nature and nobody can control that . After a while we are offered a table inside, we relocate sit down and the food starts to arrive, of course all dishes show up at once and here the kicker. A staff walks up and tells us that we have 15 minutes to eat up as the table is reserved.... Dear restaurant Manager get your s... together train your staff organize the front of the house. This is not how you want to run your business. Summing it all up : Price to quality to experience, it doesn't add up.

Display came recommended by a friend of mine and we are so glad that we went as the food was spectacular in. The ambiance is super cute. We had a rare night where it wasn’t crazy humid so we actually sat outside and enjoyed the evening. When we arrived, we were given a free, welcome drink, and a rice cracker that they make in in-house. We had ordered the chicken sauté skewers, the rengdang, the coconut curry, crispy duck and they were all flavoured so fantastically. Highly recommend this place! Great cocktails too and friendly staff!

Lovely dinner and great service! I loved the food so much that I went back twice. During my first visit at lunchtime, we were welcomed with complimentary appetiser and drinks. The second visit was at night (around 9+pm), and since they were closing soon, the service wasn’t quite as attentive as before but the food was still exceptional. Authentic Indonesian cuisine. A must try if you visit Bali. If you don’t eat local food, then why are you even here!!!

Great food at a good price! I personally enjoyed the wood-roasted clams, sate babi samcan, and chargrilled corn. The crispy duck felt a bit dry, and surprisingly, the nasi goreng didn’t really taste like nasi goreng. But overall, I’d definitely consider coming back if I visit Bali again
