We had a great stay. Great location nearby to the city center and about 15 min walk to the train station and the port. Good value proposition, especially compared to other places in the area. A big thank you to Giuseppe at the reception, who was incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. He gave us great recommendations for restaurants and activities that really made our trip special. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is located on the opposite side of the beach. It away from the ferry and the only way to arrive to the hotel is taking a taxi. The taxi ride goes from 25-30 euros if you carry a bag.|If one needs to walk to the hotel, it will take you 20-40 minutes to get there. Be aware that you will need to pay 2,50 euros to get on the elevator to the top the path that will lead you to the hotel. If you will prefer to walk to the top be ready to clip up a very high castle that will take to center of the plaza. Then, you will have to walk about 10 more minutes to get to the hotel.|The hotel is very close to everything (a great advantage when walking around nighttime).|I don't advice anybody to request a room with a view because there not any. I did make that mistake and paid for something it did not exist. I spoke to one male receptionist and the person made remarks that I did not like.|Female receptionists are very polite and very helpful and will give instructions on how to move around the area.|Breakfast was ok, it is the famous continental meal that you will find in any hotel. Coffee machines are good, and you will be able to have as many cups of coffee as you like. There are water and mineral water and juices.|My room was not too happy with my room because I had to call for maintenance to fix the toilet flush because it was broken but it was partially fixed. It also had mold in the bathroom which was fixed when I called for maintenance.|Unfortunately, these two main issues don't make this hotel a good choice in my opinion.

Excellent location. Quiet but close to town. About a 20 minute walk to the train station with bags. 10-minute walk to the only beach in town and a couple of great, reasonably priced restaurants within 5-10 minute walk. Breakfast ok. Also very clean, simple, and spacious rooms. Overall a great value. Absolute best thing about the place was the great customer service. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff.

Stayed at this hostel for 5 nights. Wouldn't really say it's a hostel as it was more like a hotel. Very clean and tidy. Rooms cleaned every day and towels changed. Location is great and there is a small cafe/shop just above the hostel which appears to be family run and part of the Sorrento wine and food tour. I stopped several times for a glass of wine in the evening. Best value wine in Sorrento and they give you a nice large glass.

We were booked in the apartment because we had a third guest, my friend‘s daughter with us. The apartment was quite a ways away from the main hotel. It’s actually closer to the main drag than the main hotel is but you need an elevator to get to the third floor and we didn’t really care for the apartment, but they let us move to one of the regular rooms. Once my friend’s daughter left they were very accommodating. The staff was amazingoverall a great experience, but before I book the either of those apartments, I would make sure that you know what you’re getting.

Had experience with the Hostel/Hotel with our children back in 2009 and now that an apartment option was available at a great price we took the plunge as a couple. You will need to be realistic about what you want to be satisfied with the apartment choice.|Pro: Great price. Staff responsive to questions via WhatsApp. Good location at the end of the tourist street (about a 15 minute walk from the train station which may feel slower due to bags and tourists crowding the route.) Lots of space. Our room, Circe, was on the top floor. The living space very large and could easily accommodate family of four. Lighting was bright-for once the pictures didn't lie. Hot water was good (actually difficult to get cold water from the bathroom tap). One night my wife thought the hot water ran out in the shower (7-8 minutes, but not a problem our other 5 nights. The LED lights in the ceiling were very bright. Another switch in each room turns on colored LED strip lights-We didn't figure out until the last night that if you hold the switch down in the on position it will change colors. Just saying if you need mood lighting......||Cons for you to consider: The elevator stops one floor below the apt, so you have 19 steps to go with your luggage. They forgot to tell us to turn on the light switch on the bottom floor, so we had to navigate to the front door in pitch black on night one.|Despite the 50 euro cleaning fee (stated per week, though we were charged the same for 5 nights), the unit is pretty dirty. Unfortunately, prior guests are not always considerate of leaving things in good order. However, dust bunnies on the couches (which unlike the photos are pretty stained), Nespresso with dried on fluid and brown feet if you dare to walk without slippers can be a definite turn off. The kitchen has few utensils to cook with. There are some pots and pans, but no large spoon, ladle, spatula, strainer with which to work. Towels are fairly worn. There is some noise from traffic as the building is near the hospital (sirens). The other "window" in the main room provides good cross breeze, but the terrace it is attached to belongs to the front entry of the unit next door, so limited privacy there.||Finally, the worst issue was the smell of sewer gas in the bathroom. This was also something I recall from the Hotel location, so it may be a result of plumbing techniques in this area. However, unless you have no sense of smell you will need to air out the unit every time you return-perhaps problematic if it is really hot or cold outside (we fortunately did not have this issue). By morning we would have gotten fairly inured to the odor, but always present on our return each evening.||We did not use heat or AC so have no information on it's effectiveness.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. Breakfast choice was great, bathrooms were very spacious, good choice of amenities and great cleanliness (they come and clean the room everyday). |The only things I would question is the shower (it was very cold when it was on a high temp) and the bed (when I came back from exploring, I found black hard stuff on the pillow and sheets that smudged). Otherwise, good experience, nothing too major to keep away from.

Everything was perfect. We took the standard double room, so it was very spacious and convenient. It was really nice and comfortable.|The hotel staff was very nice and helpful so we felt welcomed all the days of our visit.|And the location is great too, close to the center of town so you don’t need to drive. And nice view from the window.

Yelp
THE RECEPTIONIST CHRISTIAN ATTEMPTED TO RECORD ME SEXUALLY WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE DURING MY STAY!!!! I booked a 2-night stay here and had an extremely disturbing and traumatic experience. After checking in and exiting the hostel to get dinner, I was approached by a staff member, Christian, who initially engaged in friendly conversation but quickly made inappropriate and invasive remarks, such as asking if I use Grindr, if I "like Italian men," and if I'm gay. Despite feeling uncomfortable, I felt pressured to respond. Later, he invited me to a club in Sorrento, which I reluctantly agreed to. While at the club, he violated my privacy by entering the restroom uninvited and took me to his apartment while I was blacking out. It was at this point that he took advantage of me and attempted to record intimate moments without my consent. I demanded he delete the footage and ultimately had to involve the police. For my safety, I was forced to leave the hostel and book an emergency stay at a nearby hotel, incurring additional expenses. I was also appalled when I reported this incident to the management, including the general manager, they showed no empathy and refused to provide any assistance or even a refund and have the audacity to tell me to talk to him directly.. I'm appalled by their lack of accountability and unwillingness to address such a serious situation. This hostel is unsafe, and poorly run. Avoid it

Yelp
My husband and I had a very pleasant stay at the Ulisse Deluxe Hostel during our honeymoon in Italy. The hotel staff were incredibly professional, helpful, and accommodating. Since we booked online in advance we weren't sure what to expect, but we were very happy with the location and quality of the hotel. We stayed in an upgraded room with two queen beds and a view of the cliffs. The hotel is at street level and the parking garage is on top, so there are no rooms with a view of the sea but the cliffside is quite nice. After staying in Rome where the hotel rooms are quite tiny, we were amazed with how spacious the bedroom and bathroom area were! The housekeeping staff were quite thorough: even our pillow cases were changed daily and replaced with a freshly ironed one. The breakfast spread was quite impressive and offered something for everyone: eggs, assorted fresh pastries, slices of meats and cheeses, bread rolls and croissants, yogurt and muesli, and fresh fruit. The fresh juice dispensers offered interesting flavors: blood orange, strawberry, and others. They also offered still or sparkling bottled water for travelers that are not accustomed to the water in Italy (usually tap water is to be avoided to prevent getting sick). The location is great - just a short 10-15 minute walk from the train station and you pass through the quaint downtown area on your way. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby. The front desk made some fantastic recommendations and helped make reservations for us. All in all, this is a great hotel for the price and much, much more than you would expect with "hostel" in the name. Sure, it's not a Kimpton Hotel or traditional 5-star hotel, but this is a great hotel for travelers looking for an affordable hotel in Sorrento.

Yelp
This was the last hotel we stayed in after our 2 week trip through Italy. This is a well priced hotel for the city and area. I liked how walkable the distance was from the main area. I can tell why our tour guides booked this hotel. The rooms are huge and the ac works excellent. The shower head is poorly designed. My roommate and I couldn't get it to stay and got water everywhere! The breakfast was sufficient and staff were kind. The staff overall were nice and made good recommendations. The only thing is we tried to ask about getting a boat to capri and they kept trying to sell us on a full day tour. They said it was too "hard" for us to find the way and since it was hard to find we would end up spending more money if we went out alone. I understand that they are trying to help but we also felt like the tour companies sponsored them. This is a hotel where you get what you pay for. You have to put a 5 euro deposit for an extra key and all their "amenities" are not part of the hotel. It's just companies that work with the hotel and you have to pay 10 euros to use the partner pool.

Yelp
This was our last hotel after two weeks of traveling and it was such a nice place to stay. Very affordable. I only wish they had free breakfast I think it was a few euros actually. The service was very friendly and helpful and booked a shuttle for us to the airport.
