Most hikers coming to Seoraksan National Park will want to do this trek. Out and back with a blistering uphill (my 4 yo did it himself so it can be done!) at its last part, it is an invigorating hike, especially when you are on the exposed granite top. The view in good weather will be pretty awesome and the top area actually has a few view points that you can stop at for photos before descending back.

This hike is definitely not an easy one - it’s around 2000ft gain in 2 miles. The last 1km was brutal with all stairs straight up. It was nice hiking through dense maple and oak forests that turn bright red and gold and the view up top was rewarding

Nice summer hike! The temperature was an issue but the course is well maintained. The last part, the stairs, was challenging. However, you will be rewarded with stunning views.

The scenery is truly spectacular. It's one of the easier trails in Seoraksan National Park. However, I wouldn't recommend hiking in jeans. There are more steep steps than you might expect. Be safe!

Must do. 2hrs up, 1.5 down. Taking your time that is. Due to all the stairs you have to be somewhat fit. Well maintained, good steps.

I recommend to go early in the morning as later there are a lot of people and you might have to wait in the traffic for over an hour no matter if you're travelling there by car or bus. The view is epic as it's by the sea. The hiking is a bit challenging but doable.

A magic hike along a easy road, then rocky steps then up stairs on the rock face to platforms on the top of the ridge. Amazing views on both sides! An iconic train.

I am glad we made the effort to hike all the way up! As mentioned in may posts before, the last kilometre is basically stairs only. From the park entrance to the top of Ulsanbawi Rock Strava measured roughly 600m of elevation.
