"Yes To is easily one of my favorite drug store brands—I use everything from their micellar water to their face wipes. When they came out with their own cleansing stick, I was instantly a fan. The coconut and coffee combo makes for a reviving morning treat and it's also under $10, which is a huge bonus."

Genesis was the absolute best. As someone who doesn’t know much about skincare or makeup, I get easily overwhelmed shopping, but she was so sweet and helpful. She made the experience easy breezy and has fantastic energy. Thank you so much! ☀️

Google
Worst Ulta experience EVER! I love going to Ulta. But today the young lady literally made me feel as though I was bothering her when I asked to smell a fragrance . All of the samples were locked in a case. So I only smelled 2 and told her which one I wanted. She never even brought it to the front. I left without even purchasing anything

I had a lovely experience today with the help of an employee named Buffy. They were very helpful with providing product options for my hair type. Customer service is so lacking these days, and Buffy went way above and beyond. Truly made my shopping experience one of joy. Thanks Buffy!!

I went in during the day on Thursday, to exchange a foundation that wasn’t quite the correct match. I’d ordered online with a payment method that caused a little trouble completing the return, and was treated incredibly graciously by the associate and their manager. Joanie and Genesis helped me find the perfect match, and helped me find the perfect primer. I haven’t worn much makeup since my cancer treatment because of how bad my skin looked—in the process of healing now. It was the first time I’ve felt my skin looked “pretty” with foundation in over a year. Thank you, Joanie and Genesis, for your patience and kindness and courtesies.

Pricey but I was living with it for my daughters. But they tracked me down in the parking lot and made me come back to pay $83 a second time claiming the first one didn’t go through. When I went back to the store and showed them the double charge on my statement a week later they said there was nothing they could do. When I called Ulta’s main number, they said that the double charge on my card had to be handled by the rewards account holder, my daughter. My daughter emailed Ulta and they requested a credit card statement. My daughter sent them my credit card statement over a week ago and there is still no reimbursement for the double charge. We won’t shop there again until this is corrected.

I’ve had the worst experience Ive ever had in trying to get my haircut! Tried to describe that I wanted longer layers & showed a pic to the gentleman. I am a former hairdresser with 20 years experience. His terminology & mine differed so I decided to just have a trim instead. Then he kicked me out of his chair! WITAF. Who does this? Lol Merry Xmas I guess. Wet hair in the cold wind. He was gonna blow dry but not with my curly hair.

The staff was helpful, but I was told by cashier that I could “hang up my basket” on my way out. I did so but I’ve never been to a store that doesn’t just take the basket that you’re using to carry around all your items at the register. Seemed a bit passive aggressive to me

The salon at Elmwood is by far the overall best salon in Jefferson Parish. Stylist Andy is my go to guy and I never will let anyone else touch my hair. Andy is super talented, professional and “real.” I went to Andy with a “train wreck” of bad color and super dry unmanageable hair and after 3 personalized “fix” plan, my color is absolutely beautiful and I never use my straight iron. In addition, as an Ulta rewards member, every dollar I spend at the salon, I earn more $$ towards my next salon purchase. What other salon offers that??? Andy will not disappoint. 😘😘😘

Yelp
5 stars to cashier associate, Liam, who was working the front at 12:15pm on Friday, 9/9/22!! I came in to redeem my free birthday gift. I picked up a bottle of sunscreen I had wanted to get from the back and waited in the long line to check out. Liam rang up my order. He informed me they were out of the birthday gift already. (Detangler spray) I was really bummed, because I specifically had wanted to try that as I have long hair and am always looking for a good detangler. He apologized and gave me some samples of some other face cream instead. I left and made my way to my car. Liam ran out into the parking lot to catch me. He said he ended up finding a bottle of the detangler afterall. I was so glad. I appreciate when people take the extra step to do something nice for others. Thanks again!

Yelp
Once again, I try to give this Ulta the benefit of the doubt. The workers are always rude. I tried to do a return and the lady working the register said that my bank wasn't allowing the return. I had just bought the items Thursday. I said that's weird. She told me that I had to get a store credit?! I couldn't even get cash back? I went to the truck to call my bank and they stated that I return was never attempted? So what was she doing?? Her attitude was much to be desired as well.

Yelp
Ulta is never a miss for me. There's always an array of cosmetics that is sure to fit the bill. I stopped in today for a specific brand and lip color. I found exactly what I needed. There's always Ulta staff around the store to point you in the right direction or give a few tips here and there. The line wasn't extremely long today. I was able to make my purchase quickly.

Marissa M.

Yelp
OKAY MISS TANGELA! Love that woman's energy - she is perfect for the ULTA experience. Thank's so much for brightening an otherwise regular day.

Nastacha S.

Yelp
I love my Ulta I go nowhere else for my beauty regimen. They have it all in a very beautiful space. It's clean and spacious and the staff is so super friendly and knowledgeable.

Rebecca C.

Yelp
Workers here are so rude. Always have bad attitudes and never ask anyone if they need any help. Makeup can be over whelming if you don't use every day and there's never any assistance

Yelp
DON'T DO PICKUP HERE!!!! I needed a few things, only three items! So I decided to do a pick up while I went to the pediatrician with my son. I figured that my three items wouldn't take that long to get ready for my pick up order. So I ordered around 9:30 AM I got out of the pediatrician around 10:30. It took me about 15 minutes to get to location so I ended up getting here around 10:45. I understood I got here a little early but I didn't think it would take that long just to order three items that were in stock. When I came in to check, they said it wasn't ready and that they were about to work on it. So I waited for about 10-15 minutes around the store, holding my child expecting for it to not take that long. I knew that I was there early so I figured maybe there was a back up. When I was standing around, the lady told me she would go get it and then another lady told me that I should go pick up the items in the store myself to make it easier on the employee. They were so sassy and off putting. Isn't the whole purpose of pick up for the employees to do it because they get paid to do it? To make it easier on the customer? Definitely not doing pickup here again. It took almost two hours for them to get only 3 items for me. When I walked in, the place was FILLED with employees. I don't understand the inconvenience they made me feel like I was being.

Yelp
Alex saved the day again! She is an amazing stylist and the sweetest, most kind hearted person! I will always recommend her to anyone. She really takes time to listen to you and help you communicate what you want. She never makes me feel rushed and ensures I'm always happy before I leave her chair. Thank you so much Alex! If you're needing a makeup consultant, I would recommend Anna. She's so nice, personable, professional, and knowledgeable! She didn't push a product on me, and really listened to my needs. Although making a sale I'm sure is priority, I felt she really cared more in ensuring I left with what I wanted; in turn encourages me to shop there more often. Thanks Anna!

Carmen A.

Yelp
Always my go to store for pick up. Usually has more in stock at store than the New Orleans location. Staff always greets you when you enter the store.

Yelp
I am not much of a makeup wearing person at all. I got a gift card to Ulta during the holiday season of 2018, and have been debating on what to do. Give it away? Use it myself? I know of several people who go to Ulta and love it. I watched a few YouTube videos about makeup application. Ok, I fell down the rabbit hole of videos. I knew I wasn't going to drop money on anything expensive, and I talked myself into coming here. I was greeted upon walking in the store, saw a few people who might be staff members walking around the store, or talking to each other in small groups on the sales floor. No one came up to talk to me at all. I picked out a few things and got in line to check out. There were about 10 people in line and only 2 people checking out on a Saturday afternoon. The cashier did talk me into joining the rewards program. Whatever. I got a discount, only having to spend about $30 of my own money after the $25 gift card and discounts. Will I be back? Maybe. The parking lot is large. This is in the Elmwood Shopping Center, right beside DSW across from Old Navy. It is easy to spot once driving through the strip mall parking lot. I kind of wish there were staff members walking around asking if customers needed any help, but I get that most people coming in already know what they are coming in for, this caters to makeup wearing people who already know what they are doing.

Yelp
I've been here three times. Fortunately for my pocketbook and schedule, I'm not a makeup fanatic, because this store has so much stuff. I know some people probably go broke in here. I'm going to try to stay away because I could easily get hooked. While there yesterday and the day before, I saw so many different brands from so many different celebrities and people I learned about through YouTube right alongside the brands that have been around for years. There is something for everyone. Upon entering the store, there were several people mulling around the front door. I couldn't figure out what exactly was going on. I'm guessing the store was having a party, team meeting, or maybe they just happened to be there at the time I entered. I'm not sure if one of those many people greeted me or if they were even employees. But as I made my way further into the store, an associate asked whether or not I needed anything. I declined and continued on the search for the specific product I had come for. The shelf had a spot and price tag for the product I'd come for but there was nothing there. There were similar products by the same manufacturer next to the empty spot so I decided to look for someone to assist me. This turned out to be a small challenge. I couldn't find anyone in that area of the store. I walked around the general area trying to figure out who worked there and who didn't. Finally, two ladies appeared about the same time at a counter in the rear of the store. I asked if perhaps the product might be in the back and one of them went to check. She returned with the last one in the store which was wonderful. I returned to the front to check out. The line area has lots of last minute temptations, but once again, I was thankful that none of it interested me. There were two or three people checking customers out and one or two more doing different things in the register area. I've concluded that getting customers out the door is not a number one priority here. Although the store is well organized, sections are clearly designated, and lighting is perfect, if employees had a uniform look, a smock, or if this huge store had little stations where customers could summons assistance, it would be helpful for those of us who are not experts in "beauty". I ended up needing to return the item I purchased because I was not satisfied with it. I looked online for Ulta's return policy and was delighted to find out that I would have no trouble getting a refund even though he item had been opened and used, and could not be resold. They have a very fair and accommodating return policy. The store has more than just make up. It has curling irons, blow dryers, waxing kits, lighted mirrors, facial equipment, the list goes on and on. After returning home, I received an email survey about my experience. Through the survey, I learned that they offer services. I had no idea. But yeah, they offer hair and skin services and even make up. I will say it one more time: I'm so glad I'm not into make up because this store has way too much stuff and it looks like it could be fun.

Marielle S.

Yelp
I thought I had seen every type of Ulta there is, but this is a super fancy Ulta with a salon in the store! Oooh fancy! I have mentioned in past Ulta reviews how much I love this store because some of the things they sell are better priced than what you would find at a drug store and everything is neatly organized by brand. On this particular day, I was in the market for a curling iron and I knew that Ulta would have a large selection, so that I could find what I needed. I ended up getting the perfect 1 1/2 inch barrel curler that I was looking for for a little under $40. While this Ulta isn't necessarily worth going out of my way, it's great for beauty needs if you are in the area.

Nancy C.

Yelp
I was buying a couple Estee Lauer products. I have not been in an Ulta store in about 10 years. The cashier asked if I was a member of their rewards program. No I said. She then told me I had to join the rewards program or I could not return any part of my purchase. Then asked for my phone and email. I was surprised to hear this and asked her to repeat what she said. She said their policy was that there are no returns unless you join the rewards program and I had to provide my information to join. I told her no thanks. I don't want to buy anything. I have checked the Ulta site online. It does not state this policy. I strongly suspect that cashiers get a commission or bonus for signing new customers, so this store allows their cashiers to run this scam to get more people to sign up for the rewards program. Don't shop here. You deserve better.

Yelp
Okay I normally don't do this but now I'm frustrated. Long story short, I know makeup. I've done makeup for weddings, proms, models, etc. My specialty is skin/complexion, so I KNOW the difference between warm/cool/neutral foundations. With that said, I went in today because I had a coupon and wanted to get some more foundations. Again, I know my undertones. So I began talking to the NARS rep and decided to purchase the sheer glow foundation-one of my favorites. I told him I wanted one shade just slightly darker than my skin because I get spray tans but that I still wanted it to be in the warm/golden family-I then pointed at the shade Punjab because I've owned it before and know it's my perfect shade. He then questioned me and said "um you mean something with a rosy/cool undertone then? Because Punjab is rosy and a warmer shade will be too yellow for you." This was after I told him I do makeup, so it came across a bit demeaning-as if I don't really know what I'm talking about. I kind of just nodded my head and said "sure" because I didn't want to come across mean, but I was confused. He then put Punjab on me and just like I said, it matched me perfectly. I ended up purchasing Punjab and their concealer in the shade cannelle. He kept referring to them as "rosy" When I got home, I immediately googled the two shades on NARS site to make sure I wasn't going crazy, and they are described as "golden" and "peachy" (see attached photos). So why am I writing this? 1. Because although the NARS rep was nice, I didn't like his comments 2. If you're going to have a NARS rep at your store, he/she should at least be able to properly tell the difference between undertones and not improperly refer to shades as being something they are not. All in all, my experiences at this location have been way too hit or miss for me to definitively give them more than 2 stars. Sorry Ulta, but until you get your act together I'm officially done visiting your Elmwood location.

Heather T.

Yelp
This is by far the best Ulta in the New Orleans Metroplex (Harahan). The staff is always attentive. The items that are usually sold out at other Ulta's in the city are ALWAYS at this one. I wish I could use them for all my makeup needs but that other dreadful store (won't say any names) carries some things that they don't. If you're a makeup lover get enrolled in their points program. Free makeup, bday gifts and double points.

Alyssa D.

Yelp
I hate going to this location, the cashiers upfront are always rude and snooty. I only come here because it's the closest one to my house, but I'll just be ordering online from now. I walked in to do a return, waited in line, and finally got to the front. I said Hi, and told the cashier I needed to do a return and pulled the items with my receipt out the bag. I immediately got an eye roll and was asked in a very rudely manner if I used the products or not. I explained that I did swatch the foundation and face powder because there were no testers out when I first bought the product. I got another weird face with a eye roll. I told her that I didn't have the card on file for the return but I did have another card and would use that one. She stared at me and told me that I had to have that card. I explained to her that I've done this multiple times and it goes back on whichever card I insert for the return. I asked her nicely if I could at least "try" it since I knew it worked. Another weird face with distaste. Seriously, please have your front end cashiers work on customer service. Also, please get a better attitude Jacyni, it's not cute.

tasha m.

Yelp
I've been a few times to this location and the times I visited, NO ONE greeted me or asked if I needed help with anything. I needed help with choosing a Fenty foundation and no one came to see what I needed help with. I also had to look around for staff. This has happened multiple times that I've come in. Is customer service hard to come by?

Michelle B.

Yelp
Keep in mind that I am a Sephora and Ulta card carrying member. I tried comparing my specific lotion and scrub and it turns out to be the same price at both places. But the big difference is that him can get tons of coupons from Ulta so this may be my new favorite store. Like Shercole described this is more of a self service store so you kind of need to know what you want. One of the things I likes was the free gift you get when you bought a boxed set of perfume. I'm a sicker for free stuff and was looking for a present for my mum. So the cute little tote bag that came with her boxed perfume was a huge hit! Like Morgan described there are drug store items on the left, and beauty products on the right. There is a salon in the back and clean restrooms. It's a well lit store and the staff are friendly! Plus they let you use coupons that they can scan from your phone! Score! Happy beauty product shopping!

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Moving to a new state I had to find everything all over again. This store has got it all! Everyone is so friendly and helpful that works here. All products are organized and store is overall clean. This review is mainly for the salon. I've been here twice and I had Krystal help me both times. She is the BOMB! She is so awesome. Going from long hair to a short/medium bob she did it. She knew exactly what she was doing and nailed it. She added a subtle sun kissed highlight to it also. She is just great and I'm so glad I came across her at this awesome store. I am definitely going to be going back. Another hair stylist was there while I was getting my hair done and she was a sweetheart as well. Her clients looked pleased and great. Overall I love ULTA in Elmwood. I don't understand the low reviews.

Dallas C.

Yelp
Pretty good variety of products but while I was in the store, an employee walked up to a lip gloss sample/display, put it directly on her lips then put it back. Disgusting and unsanitary. She didn't use a disposable applicator or anything. I couldn't get past it and definitely didn't want try any out any products. The customer service was less than average.

Bridget D.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite Ulta's to go to in person. Always very clean and friendly staff. The makeup ladies here, they know their stuff.

Jen L.

Yelp
I used to work with a woman who raved about Ulta; she was a huge fan and constantly complained that there was no location in the GNO. Fast forward a couple of years and we have a location in Elmwood. I liked being able to buy inexpensive brands that are tried & true next to the higher end items. I did have a sales associate offer assistance on the high end side but she seemed stressed and so I said no thanks. There was no one offering help on the more crowded drugstore brand side. I was disappointed by the messiness/empty shelves. Maybe this place has been slammed since opening a few months ago...oh wait, it's been almost 7 months, so they should have their act together. Bonus star for finding a hairbrush that I'm actually liking...yes I'm super picky about that sort of thing.

Alana A.

Yelp
We had the best experience today with Jacob! Very knowledgeable, kind and explained things well to my daughter and I. We hope to see him again soon

Jessica D.

Yelp
I'm really disappointed in the staff at this location. I went in to find a light chemical exfoliater for my face (very light, as in, something I can use multiple times per week). I specified that I wanted something inexpensive. The sales associate proceeded to show me multiple $70-$150 products and insisted, even after I told her what I wanted, that nothing with less than 10% glycolic acid would help with exfoliation. Unfortunately, I'm not sure she understands how chemistry works. Even at a low percentage, even mild agents like 2% salicylic acid WILL exfoliate your skin; they won't make your entire first layer of skin peel off, but they will exfoliate. This is right up there with the "dietician" who tried to tell me that potatoes are not a complex carbohydrate...

Donna A.

Yelp
Great beauty store! I have shopped here several times. I actually was able to purchase the James Charles palette that my teen wanted for Christmas that keeps selling out. It was limited in stock & I had to wait outside for the store to open. The employees handled it in such a professional manner. I was even able to use a coupon that I had when you use the Ulta app. I will definitely be returning! They have great sales too.

Hadeel H.

Yelp
They will try to scam you into getting the credit card. One worker told me to get the credit card and I can cancel it anytime. She was hyping it up and when I said my credit score will go down if I cancel it and she was surprised that I knew that. She started laughing saying " You're smart". It made me wonder how many people they scammed that way.

Stacey C.

Yelp
I needed a complete restock of my makeup so I stopped here while I was in Elmwood. I spent over $250 on products after the It representative helped me. The girl working for ULTA not only knew nothing about products, when I got home she had put brown eyeliner in my bag instead of black...ugggghhhh! I was so aggravated but I needed the eyeliner for that night :(

Arielle H.

Yelp
Terrible customer service. The elmwood location is my go to store, typically greeted or acknowledged upon entering. Not the case today, 4 customer service ladies behind the counter leaving 2 ladies on the floor to help the good bit of customers in the store at the time. Not a single one emerged to the floor until I made a comment about the poor service.

Mona F.

Yelp
Went in to shop around and buy some IT products. Theresa was very helpful to our needs. Had what we wanted and check out was pretty quick. Highly recommend

Julie S.

Yelp
Why does this place always suck me in? I never have an intentions of going and then bam I'm there for an hour! Which..... I never leave disappointed. What girl doesn't love her makeup? It was a little hectic this time going, it was homecoming season. Still I got offered help plenty of times and the ladies also seemed very nice and eager to Help. They also almost always have a sale on something. I don't think I've ever left empty handed

Rene D.

Yelp
Ever wished for something so fervently for so long that once it's been realized, it's a huge letdown? I've heard called...anticippointment. This was one of those times. Ulta, I can go to the drugstore and buy a lot of what's here. The brands I'm looking for? Their shelves are empty. Then I am approached by a staff member; they are friendly but not very knowledgeable. The haircare section is large, but confusing. You'd better do your homework before heading here, or else you'll come home with a big bag of sadness.

Catie K.

Yelp
Let me preface this by saying I visited during their "grand opening", so they had only been open two days. I like Ulta in general because they have a nice mix of high end and drugstore beauty products....it's kind of a one-stop-shop of make-up/beauty. I threw the new cashier off because I had two coupons* at check out. That's OK, she's new, the store is new, and I was patient. She had to call a manager over and, here is where the bad taste was put in my mouth, the manager not only barked rudely at the cashier, she literally berated every worker around her. Is this the way to start out a new store? You could already tell every underling was completely alienated from said manager. 2nd day? Really? They had a nice selection of, well, everything. BUT, I could not get over the shabby treatment of the employees who were more than nice to me. I can only believe the employee turnover will be high. My imagined truth is that this mean manager is a high-level executive from corporate and she is here temporarily to open the store. Hopefully the real manager is from New Orleans, awesome, and I will return in 3 weeks and witness the happiest employees ever. I'll let you know... If my imagined reality is incorrect, I will not be back. *Don't judge, they were seriously amazing coupons.

Morgan F.

Yelp
My name is Morgan, and I am a productaholic. There I said it. I scrounge CVS for cheap but rare hair products and hit up Sephora on Black Friday like it's going out of business. I've skirted Ulta for some time now, hearing the terms "glorified convenience store." I had to get my bareminerals foundation so I decided to peak inside. HOLY MOTHER OF BARBIE! To your right is Sephora without the flittering sales ladies, to your left is CVS on 'roids and down the middle there are rows for men and in the very back, there's a fricken' salon. Think of how in the Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory, the kiddy-winks got to touch and feel all the candy...here, you get to touch and feel all the makeup brushes, blow dryers and styling tools. A sales associate noticed my gaping mouth and offered an explanation of this makeup utopia. I did my best to grab just the bare essentials and a new moisturizer in the Yes to Tomatoes line (There's more than just Yes to Carrots, ladies!). Thank God it's in Kennah' or it'd be on my route. The pièce de résistance is that they have a points card, much like Sephora's, and email you coupons! Ulta...I think I love you.

Carla V.

Yelp
Ulta is great if you're all about self-service...however, I think a store dedicated to skincare/salon service should offer personalized service, or at the very least, service. I like to browse around on my own, so I don't need a tour of the place and if I'm stopping in to pick up product that's running low, I'm all about the grab and go. However, on this particular visit, I wanted to get some insight on concealer. Long story short, as I read through 50 different descriptions to find a concealer I could live with, while the staff discussed scheduling and the high costs of ultrasounds. I must have wandered around for 20 minutes and not one of them looked at me as they pondered the difficulty of setting regular hours in retail. Granted, no one there is a dermatologist, so it's no like I missed out on anything, but isn't the point of being a specialized store the fact that you offer in-depth, personal service to clients. Aren't the associates trained to be (or appear to be) subject matter experts? Once I gathered my items and headed to the register I consoled myself by saying, at least I am leaving with everything I wanted/needed, even if it probably took longer since no one was available to help me. So, what happened next? The clerk at the register asked me about cleansing beads and whether or not my face wash contained these beads...how the hell should I know, as I have never used the product. More importantly, can't you sample this, and every other product in the store? Couldn't you just read the ingredient list? Lesson here: Though disappointed, I realized this place is better for picking up products I'm familiar with, rather than shopping for new products.

Amanda M.

Yelp
I went in to get a manicure today and it was the absolute worst manicure I've ever gotten. It was supposed to be a gel manicure but my whole finger tips were painted. The woman was incredibly unprofessional and made the entire situation very uncomfortable. She obviously is not capable of giving a manicure. It seems like there is only one layer of paint on my nails. It seems as though a child did my nails. I am so embarrassed, as I got 3 comments on how bad they were and that I should have never paid for this. I am most likely going to requests refund. I will never purchase another service from ulta and I most likely will never shop there again.

Joshua D.

Yelp
So I went here to get some simple face moisturizer and a gentle cleaner. It takes like 15 minutes just to get through a 4 person line and then I'm forced to give my info. I told them I wasn't a member and wasn't interested but the lady there literally didn't care about what I was saying and I had to give my info just to get some simple supplies. In retrospect I should've refused and not given all that info but I felt like ambushed by it. That's really messed up Ulta

Yelp
Listen, I know I'm nowhere near a Kim Kardashian, or Paris Hilton... but whoa now the service I got was, WAIT WHAT SERVICE?! I entered the doors with about 5 employees waiting at the door to greet people, but they just stood there, starred at me and talked amongst themselves. I needed some help picking out foundation. Walked up and down aisles and many employees in the store walking around pretending to be busy. I asked someone if they carried a certain foundation and this person acted like she didn't hear me. Then I noticed she was holding a purse, so I'm sure she was just rushing out the door before having to help anyone. Went to Sephora the next day got the service and merchandise I needed and wanted to go back to Ulta and have my Pretty Woman moment... BIG MISTAKE, HUGE, BIG... I MUST GO NOW... but I refrained and figured I would review it. I notice all the amazing reviews on here so they must be doing something right, but wowza they certainly had an incredibly off day....

Yelp
Amy in the salon is a hair genius. My color is perfection. I only had my ends trimmed, but the blowout she did on my hair made me sad that I didn't have someone to meet up with after my appointment - it looked so good! It's the first time in a very long time that I've been able to leave a salon and feel like I could go straight to dinner or out for drinks - usually I have to go home and fix my hair the way I like it before I'll let anyone see it. I will definitely rebook with Amy again!

Yelp
I was in desperate need of a little refreshing at the Salon, and Alex was so wonderful. She was very patient when I was explaining what I would like done, and captured exactly what I wanted. I am very pleased with the results! I definitely recommend her. Thank you Alex for making me look and feel alive again!

Yelp
I could spend my entire saving account in Ulta Beauty! This location is well kept and the employees are helpful. My last visit was kept short but whenever I needed assistance with a product an employee was quick to help me!

Yelp
I love Ulta and probably go there than one should so I know entirely too much about it. Things to Consider: Like one of the reviews stated this is more of a self service location. If you know your beauty products and makeup you will do okay and Ulta and able to get in and out. If you need more help in cheaper brands, beauty products and etc then you may find it hard to get a little help. On the other hand in the makeup department for the non Ulta brands you will find the best chances for help at this location. I love this location because there is a salon and a Benefit Brow Bar, which are important in my world and probably get all of my money. They bought offer pretty reasonably priced services and most important quick. The turnaround on services here is great especially when they stick to appointments. If you are looking to get your hair down ask for GiGi she is the queen of the blowout and style. For Eyebrows definitely let Maria do them. Another great thing about this location is brands brands brands. They tend to stay stocked with my favorites along with others such as a pretty massive Smashbox section as well as Benefit section. You will also see other brands such as Urban Decay and Still among many others in the makeup department. There is a reasonable sized skin scare section. I often don't see much help in this area so it can be frustrating trying to figure it out. Another good thing about this location is there is lotttttttttttttttts of hair products. Whatever your needs are they probably have it to get your hair together. I'm just happy they have this location in the city. The staff is friendly and definitely efficient and I have not had any problems at all. Sign up for beauty card so you can get all the coupons! You can't go wrong with ULTA Coupons. Parking: Ample Parking Plus: It's next to DSW People!

Yelp
5 stars for a great experience in the salon as well the store. After trying several different salons around the city, I decided to give this Ulta a try. My stylist was Brittany and she was awesome! She listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly that. My hair feels and looks better than it has in a long while. She was also so friendly and a pleasure to talk with. Thank you Brittany! I will be back again soon. Employees offered assistance as my friend and I looked at some makeup and other products. Everyone was friendly and willing to answer our questions.

Yelp
As Rene put it below, this place brings up feelings of anticippointment. I've visited Ulta locations outside of New Orleans and I really looked forward to the new location in Nola. I have been 4 times since it opened. On 3 of those occasions, I experienced big issues with customer service that make me never want to return. The employees are nice and helpful....but unfortunately there seem to be only about 2 or 3 in the store on busy Saturdays! There is usually a long checkout line with one overwhelmed employee checking people out, one person in the upscale makeup section trying to help 5 people at once and another person restocking or in the back somehwere. The last time I went, my product was completely sold out in a myriad of colors and I couldn't get the attention of any salesperson. So, I walked out and ordered the product online at Sephora. I won't be visiting this store again until I hear that they have hired more staff.

Yelp
I like the fact all brands are in one location. I am a fan of a one stop shop. I did receive help from an associate and she was honest enough to tell me she preferred other brands than Ulta. It would be even more convenient if their drug store brands were slightly cheaper than drugstore prices.

Yelp
Stopped in this store when I was in the area. Was welcomed while walking in but then no help. Girls were working throughout store and yet no help. The one I asked gave me an attitude like I was bothering her. Still asked my question with no help or suggestions. Had to walk out due to poor customer service. Won't be coming back to this location.

Yelp
Decent selection of beauty supplies with very well priced Ulta brand items. They have everything from makeup to perfume/cologne to hair products and styling tools. I would rate them higher, but their prices really aren't any better than any other store on name brand items. Watch sales circulars for good deals and coupons.

Yelp
Sales hungry associates that don't listen to what you say. Very annoying when shopping with Mom Mother's Day weekend.

Yelp
I got some flyers in the mail from ulta about the salon so I wanted to treat myself and get my hair done. I wish I had read the reviews here beforehand because the salon part is not rated well. I scheduled a trim and blow out at the salon. Haircut turned out good but blow out was beyond sub par for the price. It looked awful, like I spent a full day at work and had already exposed it to the humid air. She barely used any styling products. Nor took my advice when I mentioned the kind of products my hair likes. When you leave the salon, hair should look awesome...no more styling needed. That's why I pay the big bucks and tip big. I'll only be going back for products now, not the hair service.

Yelp
I L O V E going to this Ulta so much. I've been there on several occasions and each time I step foot in the store, I am welcomed with a friendly greeting from the first sales associate who sees me. The staff is eager to help out, which is great, even though sometimes it's hard to find someone on the floor who isn't already helping another customer. I have even called to schedule a hair appointment. The woman who answered the phone was super sweet. Unfortunately, because I'm really bad at procrastinating, they didn't have any openings that day, so I had to go elsewhere. BUT I may give them a try in a few weeks.
