Ulusaba

This is one of Richard Branson‘s version. Safari Lodge is in AFRICA. We stayed at the Rock Lodge, which is 800 feet above the Savannah. Charming lodge with wonderful views of Savannah. We had two great guides, James, and orange, the spider, who took us all over the private game, reserve to see All of the big five, together with dozens of other animals. Wonderful food in the restaurant and tremendous hospitality from the staff. Highly recommend.

We have just returned today from the most wonderful 5 night stay at Ulusaba Rock Lodge. This was our 6th visit, and the 2nd visit with our 9 year old son. Safe to say that Ulusaba never fails to deliver and this was probably our best stay ever. We had the most wonderful ranger, Tom, and our tracker, Sam, was so skilled and together they made an amazing team. Tom was so wonderful with our son, and he loved every minute of learning about all the incredible wildlife. |The staff at Ulusaba are superb and a special shout out to the wonderful Godfrey, who made us feel so welcome. |We are already planning to return in 2027 after the refurbishment… and our son is already counting the days. Thank you Ulusaba.

Ulusaba is a place you will instantly feel the most powerful connection with. We decided to fly out our friends and family to have our wedding here and it will forever be the most amazing experience of our lives. When you land you are welcomed by some of the most amazing human beings you will ever meet in your life. To be then taken up to your accommodation where you are welcomed with open arms. ||Brogan & Jimmy our ranger & tracker and James & Orange our guests ranger and tracker are out of this world. We had the best laughs with these people but also learnt so much. We had our two children with us and they absolutely loved the boys ! Absolute dream team ! ||Teagan and Lauren the organization queens sorting out everything for our wedding. The most beautiful attention to detail but all the little extras were so appreciated and so heart warming. ||Precious & Anrea the queens of the lodge helping us with everything we needed and putting up with a lot of banter and laughs ! We thank you for making us feel so at home.||The team at Ulusaba are just incredible and you will never forget them. Everything is so relaxing and you feel like part of the family. ||My parents have luckily visited a few times and my father always said when you leave you will be upset because it’s just so magical and he was right. We were all sat on the small plane getting waved off by our amazing rangers and the sadness really sunk in. ||Our two children have asked us non stop when we are going back and we are already planning our next trip over.||Thank you Ulusaba for creating us these ever lasting memories and letting us be part of your daily for our stay.||Phoebe, Luke,Harlem & Lettie xx

My experience was life changing!! First off, it's South Africa and fabulous as well as getting to see all the magnificat animals but the heart and soul of Ulusaba is the staff!!! They are a beautiful family who will touch your heart. We are already discussing going back in the future.

Our honeymoon at Ulusaba Rock Lodge was nothing short of magical! From the breathtaking views to the world-class service, every moment felt like a dream. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable, always warm, welcoming, and attentive. The food and wine were absolutely exceptional. Waking up to the stunning African landscape and experiencing the incredible wildlife made this an adventure of a lifetime. We spent 5 nights at Ulusaba Rock lodge as part of 3 generations of our family celebrating a 70th birthday milestone. |It was just perfect in every respect. The location is stunning and the trip up to the lodge in the safari Land Rover is an experience in itself. We were met at reception by our ranger and tracker Brogan and Sipho and they quickly became firm friends and gave us a fantastic experience on the game drives where we saw much more than expected entirely due to their knowledge and experience. We even learnt some new vocabulary to bring back to UK!!|Brogan was there at every turn from getting us a drink after the evening game drive prior to dinner to discussing our sitings over breakfast. |The quality of our accommodation was first class. Very clean and comfortable with views that were just stunning. We had 1 family lodge for 4 and 1 double lodge both equally first rate. Laundry was completed promptly without even asking. |Food and drink was off the scale and the communal dinners were a great way to share experiences with fellow guests. On our last night we were offered private dining in the wine store. Another highlight of our visit. |The introduction of each nights dinner and wine by Ian and Sidney was a great touch and the comment of our stay from our Grandson was telling when we were watching a pride of Lions consuming their kill: ‘ I can understand why the lions like that because I loved it when Ian cooked us a Kudu steak last night!!!’|Overall a fantastic experience for the 3 generations of our family made better by every member of the team. |We all would recommend Ulusaba without reservation.

Incredible game viewing, fantastic service and team! Our guide Brandon was just phenomenal as was our tracker Eric! Knowledgeable, fun and interactive with us and the kids each drive was full of fabulous sightings of all the big 5 multiple time and extras! Lodge staff were amazing, helpful and made our stay very special - hope to go back! Loved it and highly recommend!

Wow, where do I even begin? Ulusaba Rock Lodge was easily the highlight of our South Africa trip! The scenery is absolutely one of a kind, offering a breathtaking and unique view of the Savannah. We have never experienced such incredible personal hospitality—this was truly a luxury experience while still feeling down-to-earth and welcoming.||||The food was delicious, fresh, and memorable, and the rooms were beautiful, with accommodations that exceeded all expectations. The spa treatments were unbelievable, especially with the stunning view you wake up to each day. It was such a serene and rejuvenating experience.||||The game drives were truly rewarding—we got to see the Big 5! Orange and James were fantastic, sharing their deep knowledge of the animals and the landscape, making every moment exciting and educational. We felt so lucky to have them as our guide and tracker, constantly going above and beyond our expectations.||||A special shoutout to Danielle, the manager, who was so kind, hospitable, and helpful at every moment. She, along with Orange and James, made our stay absolutely unforgettable. We cannot wait to come back!
