Uluwatu Surf Villas

We didn’t stay at the villas but did go to the restaurant twice. Service was good. Menu was not easy to navigate and we saw a few couples leave before they ordered. After asking a lot of questions we decided on a few different dishes. Thank god we stayed! The tacos were delicious as was the fish curry! The flavours were amazing! The sago dessert is heavenly! Beautiful atmosphere with friendly staff! Give the menu a go as it is definitely worth the confusion. Will return again!

I would like to warn future guests about the safety conditions at Surf Villas and the way the staff handles serious incidents. During my stay, I broke my leg on the hotel’s premises due to extremely poor lighting on the pathway leading to the yoga house near the Cliff Front 4 villa. The area is very hilly and uneven, and without proper lighting it becomes genuinely dangerous, especially at night. The hotel failed to ensure basic safety measures, so I strongly advise future guests to be extremely cautious. I informed the hotel staff about my injury; however, I was not even offered assistance in getting to the hospital. After being diagnosed with a displaced fracture, I sent all medical documentation to the hotel. Further communication was extremely disappointing: my messages were ignored for several days, and responses only came after repeated follow-ups. Ultimately, the hotel refused to take any responsibility for an injury that occurred on their property and did not offer even a minimal gesture of goodwill — such as a voucher for future complimentary stays — despite the fact that the incident occurred on their property during my stay at the villa and despite the seriousness of the incident. Unfortunately, the hotel’s displayed politeness and “care for guests” seem to apply only until a real safety issue occurs.

Our wedding at Uluwatu Surf Villas was an absolute dream. The team went above and beyond, we couldn’t be more grateful. A special mention must go to Ramona, our incredible wedding planner, whose passion and hard work made the day flawless. Truly one of the best days of our lives.

Always happy to go back to the Surf Villas. The staff are always so friendly, the rooms are always so clean and organised. We chose the deluxe bbq option on the 2nd last night, so much great food!! Jacob organised a great night for us in the Cliff Front Villa, he was a great host!!!

I didn’t stay here but when to a Jack Johnson concert here. The property was AMAZING. One of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen. The grasses/ landscape was well kept. The actual event was a bit unorganized. We had VIP tickets and they were a big waste of money because GA and VIP were the same. They have limited beverages, just beer and BBQ at most of the food stands except 1, they you had to cross all they way across a sea of people to get a mixed drink or water. All in all a beautiful venue, kinda messy concert.

Totally the most amazing villa and place I have stayed in my life. We were in Cliff Top 7 and had stunning views of the water. The villa was architecturally designed so it was interested in shape, style and decor. It was very clean. The curtains were total blockout so the sun didn't wake you, only the sound of the waves crashing on the rocks which was amazing to wake up to. The ensuite was a great outdoor shower, the wall of the shower was made out of coral. The pool was a great temperature. The gardens were beautiful and well maintained. The rooms had the surf vibe artwork in them and it was luxury retro styled. The staff were extremely good, very attentive and friendly, they will pick you up in a buggy to bring you to the front of the hotel when going out and remember your name and what villa you're staying in. The restaurant food was great as well as room service. The gardens were stunning. The villa had hilarious monkeys that didn't come near you but entertained you from a distance. I can't say anything negative about Uluwatu Surf Villas, I hope to stay again one day. Thank you!

One of my favorite places in the world to stay. It's hard to overstate how unique and beautiful the villas are; each one has its own special design and energy. The setting is truly heavenly on the cliffs overlooking the ocean. I couldn't imagine a more peaceful and energizing environment for our annual meditation retreat! I just returned home from the retreat last week and I am already very much looking forward to staying at Uluwatu Surf Villas and enjoying the very special ambiance there again next year.

I went to see Jack Johnson play last week and decided to go up early and check out the bar and pool. Managed to get a sunbed and a nice bottle of wine to chill before the gig. Amazing day...
