I absolutely love this place. I come here all the time since they carry all of the Tirtir shades, including the ones they added in newer releases like shade 29c! I was so disappointed when I bought the same foundation from Ulta - couldn’t get anyone to help me and they ended up selling me an opened foundation. When I walked into Ume Cosme, however, within just a minute or two of looking for the right foundation shade, one of the women working there was so kind and helpful and perfectly shade matched me! I’ve never been shade matched this perfectly ever - she also gave me incredible recommendations for primer that I’ll need to go back to get! I love coming here and will be back! Everyone is so kind, helpful, and the store is so cute and welcoming. The prices are also perfectly reasonable. I unfortunately didn’t catch the name of the woman who helped me today, but she was very kind and helpful!

I love this store!! It has almost every product you can imagine and great prices. I was really surprised that they had Flower Knows and I got some!! And the customer service was excellent. The employees are so helpful and will give you new products instead of the ones on display and I was thankful for that because an lot of people put their hands all over the product so they give you new ones. However I got some side eyes because I was a person of color, and the staff might need to have some training for treating every race the same. but Overall the products and customer service is amazing and I really recommend shopping here!

Love the products. But the cashier was really out of it.. She acted kinda agressive. When I was checking out she handed my receipt rudely, and I was being followed in the store. So is that a new thing going on? I’ve been to the store multiple times. I’d prefer not to feel as if I’m being profiled. I’m hoping that guy is new and hasn’t gotten the memo that racism is not cool.

This beauty store has a great selection of skincare and makeup products, and everything is well organized. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, helping me choose items that suited my skin perfectly. Prices are reasonable, and the products are clearly authentic. Overall, it was a very pleasant shopping experience, and I would definitely come back.

Omg, I was able to get a lot of stuff I needed! The store is small, but they have a lot of stuff. Also, the person called Ginny (阿池) was so helpful!!! I have extremely sensitive skin, and she was able to help me pick products that not only felt amazing, but also didn’t irritate my skin! (I’ll try to come again!)

I visited UME COSME in search of home essentials and was pleasantly surprised by their impressive selection of skincare products. The store offers a wide range of cosmetics, with a particular emphasis on Korean skincare products, including face masks, serums, and moisturizers, all neatly organized and reasonably priced. This unexpected discovery has made UME COSME one of my preferred destinations for beauty products. I highly recommend visiting the store.

If only I had read previous reviews detailing racist encounters it could have spared my younger sister of being subjected to such a dehumanizing experience at this "establishment" and ending her night in tears. We entered and browsed around for a while, paid for our items, a total of $130, and exited the store like any other time we've made a purchase at many other establishments. A few steps outside the store we get chased and accosted by an employee claiming my younger sister had stolen a nail polish, a nail polish that my sister decided she no longer liked and returned it to another sales associate, who took the item, and that was the last we saw of it. The manager Fifi kept trying to excuse her staff's behavior under the guise that they had previous instances of theft, and just wanted to be sure. Previous encounters with thieves don't give you the right to subject paying customers to racial profiling. It also doesn't excuse your sales associate attempting to stop me from re-entering to seek an explanation by bear hugging my arm and pulling me back. I really wish to understand what kind of establishment is being run here. I caution those who don't wish to experience such racial profiling to avoid this poorly run establishment at all cost.

This store has a history of accusing customers of stealing and they don't handle misunderstandings well. The layout is bad, the cash register is all the way in the back, and there's no clear system (like branded stickers) to distinguish their products from others nearby in K-Town. My friend and I came in after shopping elsewhere, and she took out a product she bought at another store to compare it with one on display. While this might have looked suspicious, they had already decided that she stole it from them rather than try to clear things up. After checking out and heading to the door, an employee suddenly shrieked at us, startling everyone. Another associate flagged us down, claiming we "forgot something." But instead of forgotten items, we were asked, "Did you put something in your bag?" We calmly explained and showed the receipt from the other store. Still, they made us stand there while another employee reviewed security footage in silence, completely ignoring us and our receipt. They made us stand there for like 5 minutes while she clicked through the footage, no explanation until I pointed out they were making assumptions even though we clearly had proof from the receipt. It made my friend feel like a criminal and put her in an embarrassing spot. It definitely felt like profiling more than a misunderstanding. They didn't even check their own shelves, all the employees just stood around us. Finally the woman checking the footage grunted something that cleared us, and instead of offering an apology tried to push free samples on us. We rejected them and left immediately. Look, I get it. Shoplifting is rough for small businesses. It's just not okay to assume something and not have a system in place for 1) security measures 2) protocol or explanation ("It's policy that we have to check CCTV footage to confirm" would have been enough) and 3) no ownership of misunderstanding or even an apology! Honestly, it left a really bad taste in my mouth and we won't come back here. There are plenty of other stores nearby that treat you like customers and not criminals.

I've been coming here over 6 years. It's petite but they have everything. A lot Japanese Beauty products and some sales items (50% off or more) as well as Sanrio items near the cashier. I spend time about 1hr to take a look at and always find something I need. Inside of store is very small so you'd better go here 1st before you get many shopping bags in your hand!

This is a small store, but they carry a nice variety of Korean facial products and cosmetics. My daughter and I bought a few items to replenish our inventory. They also sell Hello Kitty stuff. The Hello Kitty hair dry towel caught my eyes. Not only is it cute, but it does a great for absorbing the moisture to help dry my hair. Way cuter than wrapping an ordinary towel around my damp hair! The sales associates were all very friendly and helpful! If you check in, you get some facial cream samples too!

I loved it I went to go look around and I found really good products and loved the workers and how nice they were and how they kept the place so cute and clean‍ I would 100% go back

It's a very small spaced store with an extremely wide variety of J-skincare and K-beauty I found this store very nice and appealing 10/10

I walked in and immediately felt uncomfortable because while I was looking through their products, 3 of their workers were all standing in the front kind of blocking the way of seeing the products, so I proceeded to check out the back since there was more space. Nope, while I was trying to look through the products all of the girls proceeded to follow me to the back like an army almost immediately. One of them even pushed me to move over as I was trying to looking at the products so she could go through. After getting the front blocked off then the back, it was awkward because it's a tiny store, if you have 3 workers blocking off the products how are we supposed to browse? I just left because I felt uncomfortable and didn't want to spend my money there. I would not recommend coming here.

I was comparing my BOJ sunscreen I got from the website to the one I got here and the product seems fake. Really disappointed. They're selling it the same price as the real product would cost. Beware.

Ride staff mot helpful!! They have a lot of products but stire samples are dirty andnstaff was not helpful. I ask if she could use google translator so I can under the product lable for Obagi 10 $ 60.00 and she could not be bothered.

I'm really sorry this was my favorite skincare store since I work at Macys and it was very convenient, but I found out my favorite sunscreen beauty of Joseon that I got from here is fake! Selling it full price but fake! What a bummer who knows the other products I was getting like my moisturizer, toner etc are fake too!! Not good I got the real sunscreen from a verified seller and it's crazy how similar they are so stores like this one can scam people

Cute little shop with many Korean and Japanese skin care products to chose from. I got some ginseng hydrogel eyepatch. The price was affordable if you compare to brand names in department stores. I don't expect miracles but at least my eyes won't look tired. With Yelp check-in they gave me a free sheet mask.

I've been coming to Ume Cosme since they opened. They have a great variety of cosmetics here! I shop here a lot & even though I try to only window shop, I rarely leave empty handed. I get all of my Anna Sui stuff from here. Right now, they have a 30% off sale too! There's lots of Japanese cosmetics at this store, and they also have some Korean cosmetics. You can buy skincare, makeup, body care, perfume, and more. They also have cute licensed Sanrio merchandise! I got a Kuromi laptop keyboard cover. I took off 2 stars because during my most recent visit, I asked if they have a loyalty program - and they do. I don't know why they've never mentioned it before. I'm a very loyal shopper and am disappointed that I missed out on hundreds of points I could have earned. When I first came, they gave me samples, but after that, they never give you samples unless you ask.

BEWARE when using your credit card for payments t this store. My wife purchased some cosmetic products for a total $56.06. When I got my credit card statement this I found the charge for $56.06, and another charge for $2074.90 on the same day from some place named Princeton oral and max.

Fun little store with lots of skincare and makeup products. The staff was helpful with questions.

This is the Asian version of Sephora in a way. More body products than make up but I wasn't looking for make up. I got some high end shampoo in a mason jar. Yes, even Asian people are basic. I enjoyed trying to figure out what everything was in this store but if you don't like such things just ask. There's a wide selection of fun masks, a wall full of liners and eye beautifying things and shelves of high end products promising you gold flakes and O2 for your skin care needs. It's still no Shiseido or SKII stuff so I walked away after spending less than 100. The staff is very helpful and will check on you. God forbid I carry heavy shampoo around the store without a basket! Don't worry, I didn't break it and it's going home with me.

Cute shop filled with korean beauty products but be prepared to be watched by the employees like you're some slum off the street. Could have had a better shopping experience. Won't be returning.

this store isn't terrible. they have a pretty good selection of products that for the most part are pretty organized. its the way the staff acts that i have an issue with. the first time i came here i was charged for an item i wanted to buy that somehow never ended up in my bag. the girl behind the register didn't really have a good tone either, it was incredibly passive aggressive. the second time i visited, i was continuously bumped by staff because apparently it's hard to say excuse me when you need to get by someone, and the third time i went i visited with my mother and we were both bumped by both customers and staff who had issues saying excuse me. one staff member reached through my mothers legs to grab a product instead of just nicely asking her to move out of the way. theres nothing wrong with the store itself the staff just isn't very friendly. i don't even feel comfortable asking for product recommendations or help.

I love this store. They have so many interesting and cute stuffs. And male employee here so kind and nice. one of female employee had a little bit attitude but fine. I had great experience here. I would visit here again

Cashier woman is very rude & gave wrong product info. If you want to experience clients never be the first service, come to this store. I have traveled to Tokyo several times, Japanese store never serve people like your stuffs did. Please at least train yourself before serve clients.

This is such a wonderful place if you are looking for Korean skincare. It's often overlooked because it right outside of K town and it's pretty small. But it's a true gem, the ladies in here are always so sweet and helpful. They have wide variety of Korean skincare brands and for great prices compared to some of the shops in K town itself and online. They also have a fun sheet mask wall and lots of cute makeup to look at.

Love this store and the young girl was very helpful and patient with my friend and I as we spent about an hour in the store asking what everything was. And then we kept changing our minds on stuff and she was so patient with us. I definitely would not have been we were pains! So thank you we love our products. Will definitely come back next time we are in nyc
