As a first-timer trying a falafel sandwich, I was really satisfied with how it tasted — the veggies were fresh, and I love that they were generous with the sauces. The falafel itself was delicious too!! The sweetest girl served me, and the other staff were just as friendly and nice. Loved the ambience in there as the store’s music playlist was such a vibe. Totally recommend this place to anyone who wants to try Palestinian food or is vegetarian! 💯💯

Umi Falafel on Mary Street is easily one of the best quick, fresh, and satisfying spots in Dublin 1. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is welcoming and relaxed, and it’s clear they take pride in both the food and the experience. Food quality is outstanding. Everything tastes fresh and made with care, not rushed or “fast-food-ish” at all. The falafel is the star: crispy and deeply golden on the outside, soft and fluffy inside, with that perfect herby, spiced flavour that doesn’t feel greasy. It holds together beautifully and tastes like it’s just been fried to order. The hummus is smooth, rich, and properly creamy, with a real tahini depth and a nice drizzle of seasoning on top. It’s the kind of hummus you want to scoop up until the bowl is spotless. The bowl is also packed with variety and balance—you get a proper mix of textures and flavours. The tabbouleh is bright and refreshing (loads of parsley, chopped tomato, and that lemony lift), and the rice/grains are well-cooked and filling without being heavy. The roasted/grilled veg (like aubergine) add a smoky softness, and the pickled elements bring a tangy kick that keeps every bite interesting. The sauces on the side are a great touch too—perfect for adjusting the heat/tang exactly how you like it. Staff are genuinely kind and helpful. They’re patient, friendly, and make you feel comfortable even if you’re taking time to decide. Service is quick, but never feels cold or rushed—more like they’re efficient and nice, which is a rare combo. The space is spacious and comfortable. Plenty of room to sit, eat properly, and not feel squeezed in—ideal for a relaxed lunch, a casual meet-up, or even grabbing something satisfying while you’re out shopping nearby. It also feels clean and well-kept, which adds to the overall positive experience. Overall: delicious food, generous portions, warm staff, and a roomy setting—Umi Falafel on Mary Street is a place I’ll happily return to again and again. Highly recommended if you want a proper, flavourful meal that leaves you feeling full and happy.

Loved this place. Many vegetarian and gluten free options. Staff was super friendly. Food was tasty. Great pricing.

Falafel wrap was underwhelming. Tabouleh was good though. Staff seem to be still training and very stingy on the sauces and falafel. I’m sure I asked for a Palestinian which comes as a pocket but got a very thin wrap. Music way too loud. Vibes not very inviting

We stopped by Umi for a quick lunch and had a great experience overall. Special thanks to Juan and the other staffs were friendly and fast. The food came out quickly, which was perfect for a short break. The only downside was the Umi burger, which was a bit dry and could really use more sauce to bring the flavors together. Aside from that, it’s a solid spot for vegetarians and vegans

I went to Umi Falafel in Dublin, and I really liked it. The restaurant is small but very nice and comfortable. The staff were friendly and smiled when I came in. They explained the menu and helped me choose my food. I give Umi Falafel five stars because of the good food, good price, and kind people.

I ordered the Palestinian falafel sandwich and was a bit disappointed. The falafel itself was good and the flavours were nice, but the sandwich fell apart as soon as I took a bite. It was too soggy and hard to eat. I also would have liked more hummus, especially since the description made it sound like it was a pocket full which it wasn't.

I recommend this for vegans!! The falafels were really good! The plate shared by two was just the right amount of food. There was enough food and variety to share. The music was too loud and the decor was very simple, but the staff was friendly and smiling.
