"As a visitor in Abu Dhabi , you often ask yourself: “But where are the Emiratis?” Many of the attractions in the city were designed specifically for tourists, and you may not get a sense of how the typical Emirati family spends their leisure time. Open until midnight daily, Umm al-Emarat Park is a wonderful place to seek out such interaction with the locals. An oasis in the heart of Abu Dhabi, Umm al-Emarat offers visitors a botanic garden, a small zoo, and an amphitheater that hosts films and performances from all over the world. Be sure to enter the Shade House, an open-air structure that houses warm-climate plants and trees and employs louvered mechanical shades to regulate the sunlight, providing a cool space with no artificial air-conditioning."

9 Best Things to Do With Kids in Abu Dhabi | Condé Nast Traveler

"Umm Al Emarat Park, a meticulously designed public park, blends nature with modern design. Rows of palm trees lead to water features that evoke an oasis, but one made to look like a contemporary fountain. The park is home to a number of sites, including an amphitheater, gardens, a playground, and an animal barn. The Wisdom Garden is particularly beautiful, with well-maintained indigenous plants and marble slabs with quotes from the late Sheikh Bin Sultan Al Nahyan." - Melinda Healy

A great park to enjoy fresh air and nature. The gardens are beautifully maintained, making it a perfect place for a relaxing walk. There’s also a small zoo with animals like camels, antelopes, deer, and horses. The entry fee is just AED 10, and you’ll find a few cafes inside where you can grab a snack or drink. Overall, a peaceful and family-friendly spot in the city.

I’ve visited Umm Al Emarat Park twice, and both experiences were absolutely lovely. The park is clean, well-maintained, and offers a relaxing atmosphere for families, friends, or solo visitors. I especially enjoyed the comfortable seating areas spread across the park—perfect for unwinding and enjoying the greenery. The kids’ play areas are fun, safe, and well-designed, making it a great spot for families with children. I also loved the variety of cafés and food stalls. It’s nice to grab a coffee or snack and enjoy it in the open air surrounded by nature. Whether you’re there for a walk, a family outing, or just a quiet coffee, this park offers something for everyone. Highly recommended!

A very well maintained park for all ages. You can jog, walk and spend quality time with your family and friends. There is also a kids play area where kids can enjoy themselves. 10AED is the entry fee.

A fantastic family-friendly day out! For just 10 AED per person (kids under 3 enter free), you get access to: - A spacious picnic area - Food trucks with a great selection of meals and desserts - Comfortable table and cushion seating near the food trucks - Vendors offering fun kids' activities - Jumping castles (added cost) - A splash play area - A flea market - A big-screen movie in the park - An animal barn and camel rides The only improvement I’d suggest is adding more baby changing facilities in all the washrooms. Having to walk all the way to the main gate was a bit inconvenient. Highly recommend this spot for a fun-filled family outing!

Its very beautiful and very calming place, but i think its better also for a park to put more night market shoops and food stalls so that people who are in the place can enjoy and stay more longer.. because there is entrance when you go there. So i guess they should put more shops for people to enjoy inside.. as far as i know only 2 coffee shop or restaurant inside, with a little choice of food and drinks...

Um Al Emarat Park is one of my favorite parks in Abu Dhabi, and it’s a go-to spot for me and my son. The park is beautifully maintained and has a great atmosphere for families. One of the things I really appreciate is the well-designed play area that’s suitable for kids of all ages. I was especially happy to find a baby swing that perfectly fits my one-year-old—something that’s not always easy to find in public parks. The park also offers a nice selection of coffee shops and restaurants, with a range of options to suit different budgets. Whether you want a quick snack or a sit-down meal, there’s something for everyone. Overall, it’s a perfect place for a relaxed outing with kids, and I highly recommend it to families living in or visiting Abu Dhabi.

One of the most beautiful and clean parks in entire uae. Entry fee is nominal at 10aed. Children can see animals like camel, oryx, goats, turtle, horse and even have a horse ride. Another attraction is the children's water splash dance floor. Also there is a botanical garden and a kids playground with swings, slides etc..
