Umpqua's Last Resort - Wilderness Cabins, RV Park and Glamping

Google
My family of four had a magnificent time at Umpqua's Last Resort! We stayed in a cabin which included a king bed on the main floor and a loft with a double bed. My kids adored the loft. The cabin was clean, organized, and the added amenities were a delight (coffee, creamer, water, shampoos, lotion, ect.). The restrooms were clean and the heater was definitely in use in mid October. We explored the trails around the resort, as well as the absolutely stunning river across the road; I could have spent the day sitting on the side reading. We very much hope to make a return trip. Thank you for a lovely visit!

This is one of the best places ever! I travel quite a bit and I come here 1-3 times a year. As I’m typing this I’m realizing this is maybe the only place I keep coming back to. The property is adorable and the staff are just some of the best people (Toby really rocks)! I also got to meet the owner, Dustin, who seems very very kind and supports local non profits. I’m always surprised by just how clean everything is, and you really can’t beat the location. It’s gorgeous no matter the weather and the last couple of times I’ve been, there’s been a quirky little band of wild turkeys. Truly, a magical little place.

Great place to stay. Nice friendly staff, they provide maps to waterfalls and Crater Lake, they even offer guided tours to waterfalls. The campsites are clean and well maintained. They have electrical outlets like your home not just RV. They even have two EV chargers on site. The bathroom and showers are clean. Crater Lake is 40 minutes from site but many waterfall hiking sites to also stop at. I highly recommend.

Google
We came here to do some van camping and had mechanical issues with our van. The site is really great, very nice showers and other amenities, near the river, a store right up the street for Sundries and ice, about an hour north of Crater Lake. Besides all that we had fantastic service from the staff there from altering our reservations kindly due to a cancellation and just overall looking out for us. We also were able to get some gas of high quality and Anthony in particular was incredibly helpful in diagnosing our van problem and getting us on the road safely. Thank you Anthony we made it back :-) thank you to everyone there we will be back!

We brought the whole family to the resort while we visited Crater Lake. There were 12 of us. We used the XL Tiny house as our base and spilled over to 3 glamping tents. What a fantastic resort. It had everything we needed for fun and relaxation. We grilled out and sat at the picnic table while soaking in the hot Oregon weather. Luckily it cooled down at night. Toby and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. A cute store with everything you might need and reasonably priced is a few minutes drive. An easy ride to Crater Lake and many waterfalls and hiking trails. Don’t forget to hike down to the nearby creek, cross an impressive fallen tree bridge and stick your toes in the water. We weren’t planning on a return trip but now we are reconsidering! And don’t forget to pet Lucy the camp dog.

This is a truly magical place - absolutely fantastic across the board! From such warm/welcoming unpretentious staff - every single one I encountered was so friendly & pleasant and they keep the resort so beautiful and friendly - to the amazing array of unique lodging options, it's a real GEM! ||I observed people from all around the world the world and saw the genuine friendless & happiness the entire staff had with them. I saw the staff assist multiple people with various things from helping park to lighting their fires and discussing the best things to see and do with genuine happiness. It's rare to see such welcomeness and pride in their workplace today.||The landscaping and grounds are so "one-of-a-kind" beautiful it's almost unreal. A fantastic (truly Oregon) swimming hole along a crystal clear creek, to the stunning N Umpqua River with its own great beach just down a short trail, it's just spectacular. ||There couldn't be a better spot to go explore the hiking opportunities, breathtaking waterfalls, mountain biking, gorgeous Twin Lakes, Umpqua Hot Springs, Diamond Lake, and Crater Lake - there are just HUNDREDS of things to explore and do in the totally wild Umpqua forest and wilderness. ||I loved every moment and had a very relaxing wilderness adventure - it is a true GEM full of very rare combo of beauty, diversity, pride in their work, and adventure options! Can't even recommend it enough,

Kirsten B.

Google
We stayed here for one night in a heat wave in the glamping tents. Welcomed by wonderful hosts and given a map to show where we can cool off in the creek. We immediately went to the cold water to cool off and wait for the days heat to leave our tent. Best bed we slept in - and we have been traveling 3 weeks. The tents are beautifully designed with furniture and the shared toilet is not far from tents. There is a market down the road a few meters and has ice and bits and pieces. The tiny houses look adorable too.

Google
A perfect little getaway in the forest. This camp has a little of everything, RV's to rent, little cabins, bigger tents, a place to park your RV or a place to set up a tent. Staff here is always excellent and helpful. We come here every year. The grounds are well kept and plenty of clean showers and restrooms to use for those who don't travel with that or for the tiny cabins and tents (those do not have own bathroom)
google avatar

Yelp
Super friendly and welcoming staff, very well maintained property, campsites were level and clean, easy to back into, restrooms were immaculate. Would definitely stay again!

Yelp
We stayed at The Last Resort in the Umpqua Valley with our friends--two families with four kids total--and while the campground itself was tidy and the showers were nice and hot, our experience was seriously soured by the behavior of the staff. Shortly after we arrived, they yelled at our 1.5 and 4.5-year-old kids for touching the sprinkler system. Instead of a polite heads-up, it was immediate hostility. Later, they got snarky with us for being about 10 minutes past checkout--even though no one was waiting for our site, and we were clearly in the process of leaving. It wasn't just a reminder; it was rude and unnecessary. We had to directly ask them not to speak to us so nastily. Between the two families, all of us felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. There are just too many beautiful and friendly places to stay in this region to deal with that kind of treatment. The only reason I'd recommend this place is if you absolutely need a hot shower and can't find one elsewhere. Otherwise, steer clear.

Yelp
We recently stayed in one of the Retro RVs they rent and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was very clean and everyone was welcoming. Highly recommend and would stay there again.
google avatar

Linda B.

Yelp
Wonderful, quiet place with lovely hosts. We stayed in the retro trailer which was great fun for two. Talked to people staying in the glamping tents and they were very pleased with the accommodations also. EV chargers were being installed. Such a beautiful area to explore.

Yelp
We camped here with our two dogs in our travel trailer over the Labor Day weekend and enjoyed every minute! This is a beautiful park that is very well maintained by staff, who are all very friendly and accommodating. We were in one of the park's "super sites" and loved the beautiful landscaping and full hookups. There are hiking trails near the park, plus it is only a short drive from some of the most breathtaking waterfalls in the state. We can't wait for our next visit!
google avatar

Gary L.

Yelp
It's a beautiful park, well kept up with nice folk running it. I took one star off for 2 reasons, the electric hook up in space 9 is so far back behind the trailer pad (gravel) that even my 30' extension wouldn't reach it, we had to back so far back we were off the pad, and we couldn't get our rig level. The second reason is connectivity. There is no cell coverage, and if you need to stay in contact with work, kids, or any other reason you need to pay for their wi-fi, which, while reasonable, doesn't work half the time, and disconnects and reconnects arbitrarily. If these things are not a problem, then bump this beautiful park up to 5 stars.

Yelp
Umpqua's Last Resort is everything it promises and more. Stunning ground, meticulously manicured, access to so many wonderful features of the Umpqua Forest - I cannot even decide where to begin. The staff is extraordinary, each one is friendly, professional, and attentive to the needs of their guests. A few quick minutes either way out of the park, you'll find trails, waterfalls, the river... SO MUCH TO DO! Take one of their guided tours - highly recommended! This was our second trip after living there for a stint over this past winter. A true resort that quickly feels like a home away from home. Always looking forward to our next visit!

Yelp
The BEST part about this beautiful campground: The wet grass on my bare feet The staff is amazing and the grounds are beautifully maintained And close to all your favorite outdoor activities
google avatar

Cindy L.

Yelp
Wow I wish I could have stayed here longer! So beautiful and close to the hot springs, just being in the forest with the glamping tents was an experience in itself. Heated beds and all the cooking utensils you would need, and provided towels for showers and separate ones for hot springs. Super nice staff, would love to come back!

Yelp
There is no higher recommendation that I could give to ULR. My partner and I spent a month there in our RV and honestly it was not a long enough stay. We absolutely dreaded pulling away from the resort and the people at the end of our stay. The staff is beyond incredible, the accomodations and grounds were spotless, and the proximity to amazing outdoor activities makes this any easy "yes" when considering returning - in fact - we booked our next stay before we ever left! If you are considering ULR and want a friendly, welcoming, and well run place to call home... even for just one night, do yourself a favor and book ULR!

Samantha F.

Yelp
we stayed here in a king cabin for 2 nights and it was the perfect remote stay! the cabin was so cute, there was plenty of towels and soaps given to us for showers, it came with a fridge, microwave, and a whole water cooler which was awesome. we loved staying here!!

Maddy B.

Yelp
I absolutely loved it here! I stayed here with a friend in late June on a trip to Crater Lake. We were staying in one of the cabins, and we were incredibly impressed with both the quality/cleanliness of the accommodations and the friendliness/helpfulness of the staff. Upon arrival, Dustin sat down with us and helped us map out our day from which waterfalls we would visit to where we should have dinner. We immediately felt comfortable and well taken care of. Our cabin did not have its own bathroom, but the shared facilities were just a few steps away. They were very clean and usually empty, so we had plenty of privacy. As other reviews mention, they really thought of everything and more - the room had coffee and a coffee maker, a lighter for the fire pit, a wine opener, a DVD player with DVDs, card games, microwave popcorn, a jug of water to refill water bottles, a fire pit, a side yard with a picnic table, and so on. Also would note that we were two women traveling alone, but did not feel the slightest bit uncomfortable. And I feel confident that had we had any issues the staff would have handled it without issue. We really were so happy here and would not hesitate to return and recommend to family and friends! Thank you to everyone working here for making our experience so wonderful :)

Yelp
This is the greatest camping spot I have been to. There are good showers; running water, gracious staff and hosts, well maintained grounds, loved the swing overlooking the mountainside of trees; the short walk to a beautiful view on the Umpqua River; short drive to Crater and Diamond Lake; Clearwater Falls was amazing. Such a gem in our Umpqua Forest. We have already booked our 3rd trip this year! Book yours soon before I take the last spot!

Yelp
We wanted to explore the Umpqua River and waterfalls more and so I researched and found this place. We stayed in a small cabin, and it was perfect!! Cozy, clean, great big fire ring with lava rock. Great use of lava rock! Most importantly is these folks were friendly and helpful and really aware of having people be respectful of other guests. The place was really quiet except for one family with kids, but at 10pm, it was quiet. I was really thankful! They also had a lot of info and maps of nearby hikes, etc... They put a nice book together too in the room for you to look it. The bathrooms were clean, including the showers. I didn't think to bring sandals for the shower so I didn't use it, but they had two Really nice showers and bathroom stalls. Really thoughtful place. We will definitely be going back!

Yelp
If you're looking for a nice cozy stay out in Umpqua near Toketee and not too far from Crater Lake and aren't looking for camping, Umpquas Last Resort has got you. At this spot you'll find a variety of stays from simpler Trailblazer RVs to cabins to fancier RVs. I found this through Airbnb (but maybe check if you can book directly for something cheaper) or better for this campground. The staff was friendly. And you'll have everything you need to have a comfortable stay and bbq. Def be sure to download any entertainment that you may desire since it's satellite internet and when everyone is at the campground it is very slow.

Yelp
We stayed last night in a glamping tent for my Birthday. I absolutely loved it. The king size bed was comfy, they have a heated blanket if you get cold. The have a fan if your hot, heater if your cold. They come with a nice futon, table and chairs, coffee maker. The shower was warm, and very clean. The tent has a a nice outdoor area, Adirondack chairs, fire ring, bbq. There's a nice hike to the creek, cross the road to get to the river. Highly recommend, but if your wanting phone service, I had no reception. It wasn't a big deal. I will go back, I'll check out the cabins next time. : )

Yelp
Fun variety of places to stay. Great location - pretty close to Crater Lake and hiking trails. Very nice and helpful staff. Will come back.

Yelp
Great pet friendly resort with lots to offer. We stayed in adorable cabin #15 which comes with tv, DVD player with DVDs, mini fridge, coffee maker, internet access, small bbq grill, water cooler (no running water inside), ceiling fan, and microwave. Bed was super comfy with memory foam. Upstairs loft is small but usable and quaint. Side yard of cabin has a fire pit/picnic table. Firewood can be purchased here as well at a good price, which is appreciated considering they could mark it up. Initially my biggest concern was the communal bathroom which was clean, spacious, close by, and heated. Our camp host, Jesse was also very friendly, accommodating, and answered all our questions. River very close by with trials to walk. Plenty of amazing waterfalls nearby to see, Toketee is a must see! Easy kid/pet friendly hike! When coming here, it's important to have your meals planned. Places to eat can be very seasonal and at least 20-35 minutes away. Essentially meals must be microwaved or BBQ grilled. Looking forward to staying here again!

Christian P.

Yelp
Lovely oasis. We stayed here in one of the cabins during a cycle tour. The grounds and cabins are beautiful. The owners very friendly and helpful. They obviously take great pride in what they have created and it shows. Also would be remiss if I skipped over the spring pool in the forest. Perfect after a long day of riding. Would highly recommend.

Yelp
How every camping resort should be: what a hidden gem this place is! First, the staff: The camp hosts are wonderful, friendly, helpful, full of good recommendations. The grounds are well kept, everything is clean and well supplied. We had a lovely spot next to a trailhead, we walked everywhere, and even though it was raining, everyone we encountered had a big smile on, this place runs on friendliness, inclusion, fresh air and peacefulness, it was truly a fabulous stay and we can't wait to come back. If you go there, reserve early if you have a large rig because there's only a couple of really big spots and they are backins, not pull through but hey... it's great to practice backing up your rig without swearing like a drunken sailor A lovely, lovely place, 10 stars.

Yelp
My fiancé and I made the stupid mistake of running too low on cash while on a camping road trip, which left us in the middle of Umpqua park with very little daylight, and even less cell service... when we realized we weren't going to be able to stay at one of the park campgrounds, we drove until we had service and came across Umpqua's Last Resort in our search for a campground nearby. Sold! We booked and shortly after, received approval and a message from the owners/coordinators about our accommodations. In effort to keep this short: * Accommodating - owners were quick to accept and respond to us for a same-night stay when we booked close to 10pm! *Bathrooms/Showers - Giant showerheads, tiles, curtains, soap, shampoo. Immaculate. We were so grateful and absolutely blown away by the attention to detail and the way they were able to make it feel home-y *General - Sites are relatively close together, but everyone was reasonably respectful. * Owners - Created an inclusive and welcoming environment, we spoke to them for a bit before checking out and they were SO helpful with advising us on sights to see nearby. Truly a genuine couple! Overall, we loved staying here and would happily go back. The owners are a lovely couple and the accommodations were awesome. If you're lucky, you'll get a clear night like we had and witness the stunning night sky!

Yelp
I booked this stay with my family to see Oregon during the summer and swim and hike. Umpqua's Last Resort was the best trip I have done with the family ever. It even beat Hawaii! The staff, including the owner Dustin, went above and beyond to make our stay perfect and was always available to help us. They took us on a full day tour of all the local water falls and hikes and taught us all about the history and nature there. We all played games and had actual family time away from our cell phones for a week and it was refreshing to say the least. Even staying in a retro trailer and glamping tent was like a 5 start hotel with clean linens and fresh coffee. This was an experience my family will remember forever. Thanks guys!

Yelp
I was super impressed with this place. It gets 5 stars, not because it is a 5 star luxury by any means --- it's camping people! It gets 5 starts because it is super clean, it is affordable, and the staff is fabulous. My 3 friends and I decided to take a waterfall hike adventure. We had read an article about 10 great waterfall hikes in Southern Oregon and we jumped on the chance to do it. We searched the internet and came across Umpqua's Last Resort. We booked a king cabin that was just as described. It had a very comfortable king size bed (as a matter of fact, I meant to look under the sheets and write down what kind of mattress it was because I need to replace my mattress at home.) It also had a full size futon that was equally as comfortable. There was bottled water, a coffee pot, a mini-fridge, and a microwave. Oh, and a television but we never turned it on. It was centrally located in the middle of all the waterfalls we wanted to hit. We also found out about a nearby hot springs and a drive up to, what I am pretty sure, was the top of the world. We could see for miles and miles. It was amazing! One thing to note.... bring EVERYTHING you need. They do sell affordable campfire wood and charcoal in the office, but we arrived later than expected and would have had to microwave our dinner if it weren't for a kind camper loaning us some charcoal. The store that was up the road is no longer open so anything you need is about 25 miles away. However, you should take a trip to the Idleyld Store for the HUGE scoops of ice cream. It was some of the best ice cream we had ever had and the scoops were so big.

Tyler T.

Yelp
Phenomenal stay. Welcoming, informative, and helpful hosts. Facilities are clean and well kept. Went above and beyond to ensure our early winter stay was warm and comfortable. We will without a doubt stay here again when venturing into the Umpqua forest. Additional coat hangers/coat rack added to the glamping tents would be the icing on the cake. A must stay!

Happy C.

Yelp
Just stayed at this AMAZING wilderness glamping, camping and RV resort in the Umpqua National Forest. Very unique experience with gorgeous fabulous glamping tents, a custom built tiny home, several cabins of various sizes and great Retro RV rentals. The place was amazing! Awesome friendly hosts, owner and employees provided awesome tips for the local area waterfalls (Toketee, Watson, Whitehorse, Clearwater and more), hikes, Umpqua HotSprings, and local things to do including the immediate areas great swimming hole and direct river access with a beach. We went on a waterfall tour and rented kayaks from them for a stunning afternoon kayak trip on Toketee Lake - they took us there and back and put us in the water- don't pass on this! Cleanest resort/campground I've ever been to - the restrooms and showers are better than my home and the grounds are meticulously maintained. Resident wild turkeys, deer, elk, etc all around and gorgeous birdhouses around the entire property gave as wonderful wildlife shows daily. The place is remote it there's a little country store in walking distance next door. Wifi is satellite and limited due to the remoteness but it worked for texts and simple websites. There is no phone service other than WiFi calling so make sure it's enabled before you arrive. The resort is safe, friendly, epic nature and amazing ! This is the best place we stayed out of over 30 places on our west coast trip - don't even hesitate to stay here !!

Yelp
Skip it. We got stuck with a tiny strip of an RV site that didn't have its own fire pit. The small piece of outdoor space (picnic table) behind our RV also ended up not being ours to use safely because we went out there to have dinner one night and the RV park guys came over unmasked and unannounced to work on a circuit breaker box / electrical panel 2 feet from our table. We told them we didn't feel safe, you know um Covid??, and were told by the owner we could put up with it or leave. So we left, ended up at Twin Rivers in Roseburg which is like a 4 star hotel in comparison to the "last resort." The customer doesn't come first here, even during a global pandemic.

Yelp
I almost didn't want to post a review as I want to keep this special place a secret! We had an incredible experience in the Umpqua National Forest and loved our cabin from the Last Resort. Mary and the staff are wonderful. We stayed in the King cabin that offers a small kitchenette, tv, DVD player, fire pit, and charcoal grill. They provide towels, paper plates and utensils but you will need everything else. The Dry Creek store is walking distance and has everything you could need should you run out. One thing to note, I've stayed at many campsites and these are the nicest bathrooms/showers for campground standards. This cabin/campsite is dog friendly.

Chellae D.

Yelp
Another wonderful weekend at the resort. The staff is incredible, and the park is so serene. Had a great family reunion packed with food and fun and sun. Cant wait to return!

Heather G.

Yelp
Great place to stay with a variety of campsites. Hot showers and clean bathrooms. Staff were the best! Super friendly and informative about where to visit in the area. I highly recommend this place!
google avatar

Cindy A.

Yelp
We stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed our stay. All of the employees were extremely helpful and friendly and the sites were very clean. The location is great for visiting the numerous waterfalls in the area, the hot springs, and Crater Lake! There is a very convenient market nearby that also has gas (there are not a lot of gas stations in the area). Would stay here again.
google avatar

Adrie H.

Yelp
We stayed here one night on our road trip. We loved it! It was quiet, clean and we had a lot of space. I would recommend this place to anyone. The only negative was their WiFi and no cell service.
google avatar

Lily L.

Yelp
Book a year in advanced if you're not up to pitching your own tent, cooking your own food, bringing your own water bottles with filters, and sleeping on pads that could are not as comfortable as a futon. It may sound terrible, but trust me, it is a fun experience and not the worst case scenario. It was still fairly luxurious for my first camping trip because communal showers, restrooms, and a laundry room were available on site AND still separated between men and women. There is also a convenient store not even a five-minute walk away!! Not native to long hikes or real-life I-am-stuck-in-the-woods type of camping, I enjoyed my trip. I learned to make my own campfire with fire starter from the woods, cook my own food without hot water, and eat as minimal as possible to sustain for a long hike. Again, may sound miserable to some, but quite the adventure. After a few trips like this where I go from communal showers to none, I may be able to duke it out in the wilderness for a day or weekend

Yelp
Great location. Near country store and Umpqua River. Facility was clean. We brought our Camping Trailer and we had a great setup with a picinic table. Very fun and friendly staff. If you go in the summer be sure to bring your bug spray and be ready to be discounted to cell service. There is internet available at a cost.

Yelp
Umpqua's Last Resort is an amazing treasure along the Umpqua river in the Umpqua National Forest. They have clean affordable, cabins with AC, coffee, microwave and comfortable mattresses. There is a community bathroom with flushing toilets, and hot showers. There is also RV and tent camping, in an amazing part of the Cascade mountains. Crater lake, Diamond Lake, tons of waterfalls, the Umpqua and Pacific Crest Trails, the sights are never ending. Dustin and his staff are amazing. They truly do anything they can to brighten your stay. I do know that the store next door is closed temporarily, so bring everything you need, and have a great time.
google avatar

Coral C.

Yelp
An excellent choice for a fishing trip, visiting the Tokatee hotsprings (12 miles away) or any of the nearby river attractions. The king size cabins are a great deal; very cute & cozy (I recommend # 15) with a flat screen, coffee maker, mini-fridge, microwave, bed and futon. The grounds are kept very nice, the bathroom was clean, the water nice and hot. It definitely has a campground feel but that's what we were looking for. When a member of our party voiced the desire to cook out, the attendant brought over a big bbq pit with everything we needed, that definitely made the night! Camping at Tokatee is great in summer, but for a winter trip, book a cabin at the Last Resort.
google avatar

Kyle N.

Yelp
This place was disappointing and misleading. The website makes it look like a nice little place nestled in the woods. We got to our campsite and found it to be a tiny grass area with room for 1 car and 1 tent....TINY. There were no benches, no fire pit, no anything but a tiny grass area. There were no trees or landscaping to cover us from neighboring sites either. Immediately behind our campsite was a garage and home. This was more of a trailer park than a resort.
google avatar

Adrian M.

Yelp
We stayed here a whole week with a trailer and had a great time. The place is nestled up against the forest and has nice green grass everywhere around the sites. GREAT if you have a dog. Beautiful walking trails close by and a ton of waterfalls to hike too. THe Dry Creek store is where you register and it has all the basics and even dvds to rent. Has wifi, but just enough for checking emails and such. No netflix, but you are camping after all. Super friendly staff and always happy to answer questions or give tips on what to do or see. Definitely would go again. I am vey picky with my 5 Star reviews.

Yelp
This is an update to my 7/25/13 review - after the owner Dustin left a response. I'm not surprised more excuses were offered. A gift certificate to return was offered too, but with all due respect, why would I want to come back? This is not a nice place and it is not on the water like it implies. The owner claims my credit card was not charged, yet it was. The bottom line is, THEIR WEBSITE IS NOT REPRESENTATIVE OF THIS PLACE & I must call them out for using deceptive tactics to lure unsuspecting travelers who will likely capitulate once they have arrived because they have ventured long & far and are too weary to try and find somewhere else on the fly! The ONLY thing this place has going for it is the perception of being close to Umpqua Hot Springs. (there are other superior camping areas around at lower rates). I don't enjoy providing a negative review, but it irks me this place is trying to get over on travelers!

Yelp
This place is truly a gem. We stayed in one of the camper cabins; initially, we were concerned that we may not have enough space for the both of us since the website stated this camper cabin had a bunk bed. However, when we entered the cabin, the lower bunk was very spacious, definitely enough room for two people to sleep comfortably. The cabin had the basic amenities such as a microwave and fridge, but there was also a flat screen TV, an umbrella, and a very helpful binder, full of the different waterfalls and hiking trails in the area. This was a very nice addition since this was our first time visiting the area. The icing on the cake was a lovely handwritten note, left to us by Jesse, the camp host, apologizing for some miscommunication we had when first booking our camper cabin. We hadn't even thought that the previous miscommunication was any issue at all, but they left us a bottle of their local wine. This generous gift, alongside the handwritten note, made us feel even more welcome. In addition, the camper cabin was spotless and very clean. I am very picky about cleanliness, so if I was very satisfied with the cabin, I'm positive everyone else will too. The other people staying in the campground were quiet and friendly and the view of the beautiful tree-topped mountains added a sense of tranquility to the whole experience. As our first trip to Oregon, thank you Umpqua's Last Resort for making this trip so special and memorable!

Yelp
I was referred to the "Umpqua's Last Resort" by the local general store because I had an RV issue. John and the Last Resort staff were awesome! Even though I was staying at another near by campground they were more than willing to help me with my issues. Next year I will definitely stay here. These guys made my trip worth while and even suggested some local swimming areas. Thanks!!

Yelp
I really love this place! My friend and I decided last minute to take a trip down to the Umpqua Hot Springs and National Forest. Since it's February, The Last Resort had open availability and gave us a discount price. We settled in to a cozy King size cabin with tv, heat (a bit small, but it warmed up eventually), futon, mini-fridge, front porch overlooking the Umpqua River. We were enthusiastically met by Terry with a smile and encouraged to ask for any help. The next day, we made friends with Jayson and Pablo, the young (and cute) gay couple who ran the camp- and thank goodness we did! We got shady directions to the nearby hotsprings, which ended up being snowed in- and we missed the turn-off completely. After driving about a mile past our destination, my car got caught in a bank of snow and we were stuck for 3 hours! Thank goodness my Verizon phone had scanty reception and that we got the nice camp host's cell phone numbers! We called them and within a half-hour they came out with help and pulled us out of the snow! I'm excited to visit this campground again in the spring and summer-time! They told us they're planning on building tee-pees soon, they're right on the gorgeous Umpqua River, plus they dug a private swimming hole in the nearby creek. And for other "Family" members out there- they host weekend "CampOut" events which sound like a blast!

Yelp
I am looking forward to spending the 3rd weekend of July here. I have camped here one other time about 3 years. It was the best time I have had camping. The staff are very helpful with anything and ever thing that was needed. The bathrooms are cleaned servile times a day and very will maintained. This is a wonderful place. So if you are going up this way I would pick this place. I cant wait to be there. I have packed and unpacked 3 times already. See you soon.

Yelp
Im not sure how anyone could give this place not one, but two blistering reviews. The cabins are clean, the staff is over the top in customer service and willingness to help. The resort is indeed, on the water. The North Umpqua is directly across the small, two lane highway. In fact, each time I have stayed here, I am lulled to sleep by the sound of the river. Have returned on multiple occasions and am never disappointed with my stay, the owner or the employees. I just recently stayed here again and plan on many repeat visits. The website is indeed, very representative of what to expect. It is not a luxury resort with a spa and 5 star restaurant attached. Its rustic, quaint and gives a great friendly feeling.

Yelp
I stayed here for two nights in one of the king cabins. When I arrived the camp host, Jesse, was in the office and had all the paperwork ready for Check in. The office is filled with flyers for stuff to do along the Umpqua River. The cabin I stayed in was clean and ready right at 3pm. The cabin was bigger than I expected! A king sized bed, along with a small bench and four chairs, was included in the room. There's a small fridge and freezer and a microwave. The freezer is actually a regular freezer, so you can keep frozen items frozen easily, like ice cream. There is a loft accessible by a ladder with a bed as well so this place can easily accommodate four people. There's a tv with a DVD player and some movies on the counter. There is WiFi here as well so you can stay connected if you want. There's also a small water cooler. The bathrooms include two showers and lots of warm water and a heater so you're not freezing like other campgrounds. I did see a lot of RV's here with black water hookups and electricity. My site had a picnic table and a fire pit with a privacy wall. They are currently building a tiny house that will house many people and will have its own bathroom. The grounds are surrounded by woods on three sides and the road on the other. You can hear the road when large trucks go by, so if that bothers you, you will want to stay in a tent or RV on the upper hill. We did hear turkeys in the afternoon, which was a nice sound of nature. There is a trail down to a part of the river on the property which I used several times. This place is dog friendly and I brought my dog with me to hike. The area is full of waterfalls that are very close to camp. I went to Several water falls and up to Diamond Lake. If you want to go to Crater Lake it will take you two and a half hours in the winter but only an hour in the summer. The North entrance isn't too far, but is closed for the winter. I'm excited to come back here especially since I was told they are expanding the site to add more tent and cabins. I'm also excited to stay at the tiny house. Make sure you bring your camping equipment if you want to cook your own food. There are a few places around but Steamboat Inn won't be open for a while for food service, so you'll have to trek down to Glide for restaurants. There's also a small store in walking distance to the camp. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
I absolutely love Umpquas Last Resort! I have been going there for years. It is so peaceful and close to so many waterfalls, the river, swimming holes and hot springs. It is literally heaven on Earth. I love it there and so does my family. We cannot wait to visit again!

Yelp
This resort is absolutely fantastic! I have been there multiple times and the cabins are extremely comfortable and the fresh made food at the deli is to die for. Every time I go up there is a new place to explore and its only a short drive away! The location is just overall beautiful and I have NEVER had a problem with the service at all. All of the employees are extremely nice and welcoming. I will definitely go back and continue to do so. The place is wonderful!!
