Unagi Uomasa

We reserved the set dinner through TableCheck. You chose to have the wild eel (limited offering) or farmed eel when making reservations, and we opted for the farmed one in view of the almost double price of the wild one🤑. Among various famous grilled eel restaurants we had tried before, the eels served by うなぎ魚政 were remarkable. Different from those with crispy skin, the eels were kept with really soft and humid texture. Although we didn't try the wild eel, we would say the farmed ones were still served at a very very high standard. If you would like to have grilled eels at there, it is highly recommend to order set dinner which in addition to appetizer and dessert, includes both the traditional grilled eel rice and kurikarayaki (also grilled eel with different flavors, in fact we loved this more than the traditional one) which you should try at Tokyo🤤

Delicious eel rice boxes! Super tender flakey eel with the perfect amount of fattiness and smoky char. The small pickled side veggies were a great addition for a touch of acidity. Amazing and super nice staff as well. Definitely worth making a reservation and was one of the best meals during our trip to japan.

Melted in mouth unag rice, probably they chose the very fatty good quality unagi. Despite the juicy oily meat, he charcoal fragrance out at the same time. They should have very good skill of cooking it. Worth of trying if you come to Tokyo next time, but reminder on reservation must be made earlier.

The best unagi I ever had. Smokey flavor, caramelized crunch outside and pillow soft inside. Would definitely recommend and would come again!

From appetiser to dessert the food quality was outstanding. Service was relaxed, warm and authentic. Every part of the eel was shown the utmost respect. It isn’t cheap but for the quality and level of hospitality this restaurant was great value. I would highly recommend

The eels are prepared after you order: filleted, steamed, and then grilled over charcoal. It takes about an hour to wait, but I think it's worth it for the freshness and texture. Live wild eels are also available here

Delicious Unagi, lovely sake, warm service by the ladies. No english menu though which wasn't an issue and you have to reserve to dine here.

The grilled eel at this restaurant is quite delicious. You can smell the fragrant charcoal-grilled fish. Reservations are required at this restaurant, and a deposit via credit card is needed to prevent no-shows. Since wild eel is too expensive, we ordered the farmed eel. The appetizer was deep-fried eel bones, which was my first time trying them. It was quite special and paired perfectly with alcohol. The portion of eel was reasonable, just enough to cover the rice. The price for the eel dish is a bit high, but the taste is good. I believe they only grill the eel after the customer orders, so it takes a bit longer to be served, and the restaurant is located quite far from the city center. Located at 四ツ木駅, if you know how to take the train here, you'll see that because it's the birthplace of Captain Tsubasa 足球小將 creator Yoichi Takahashi, 高橋陽一 there are many Captain Tsubasa posters inside the station.
