Best place in eleuthera. The Bahama Mamas is the best I have tasted anywhere in the world. Service is excellent in food is hands down the best on the island!

Really good fresh seafood in an authentic island restaurant. Prices are reasonable, especially for the Caribbean. Service is good but operates on island time. The conch wrap and Caesar salad was delicious.

So glad we stopped here. I had a Caesar Salad with very tasty chicken and a lobster wrap that had big chunks of lobster. We ordered two local alcohol drinks that were very delicious and strong. Great food and service. Don’t miss this place.

Unca Gene’s was our first restaurant to visit in Eleuthera. Our server, Keitra, was super welcoming and friendly. She recommended grilled Grouper and it was so delicious! Atmosphere is chill, we sat outside to enjoy the fresh air. It was very peaceful outside. The music plays indoors. She told us it was island time…but we still got our food in good time.

If I could give it a zero, I would. But I can't. So I give it a one. Eat at Daddy Joe's down the road instead. $40CAD for 4 oz of grilled fish and frozen vegetables. We also ordered the same fish with a baked potatoes for the same price. DREADFUL. And the room itself is derelict. The nice plates were ours. We did take out. I see so many people posting good reviews which is incomprehensible. If you have any standards at all, don't believe them. Unfriendly service and insane prices. The place is a run down shack and absolutely nothing on that menu should be more than $10. To get good food, proper service, and a nice environment please check out Harbor Island - it's a short water taxi ride from north Eleuthera.

Wonderful place with an inviting atmosphere with great food and better service with plenty of vegetarian options. Highly recommended

The food is fair to good, but we did wait for almost two hours to get the food served. To be fair, the waitress did warn us that they were busy and it would be a long wait. They offered to hold our table while we walked around town, which we took them up on. The staff were very friendly and the locals sitting at the bar were entertaining.

A true Bahamaian experience. I’ve never had a bad meal from here. Some favs, grouper fingers, wings, Cesar salad, chicken wrap, the fries are hand cut & so good! Love the outdoor seating over looking the water with chickens running around in the background. They frequently have a DJ playing music and sometimes local talent playing. Unca Genes is a frequented local hangout & a must stop if even just for a cold beer & snack when passing thru Gregory Town. Oh and there’s a great playground located close by for the kiddos.
