This is a cozy little restaurant on Kapahulu. There is paid parking across the street. They make very affordable and tasty cocktails. Their appetizers are family style or you can eat it all yourself there that good and great place for company. I'd wanna go back with more people to try, they have a 10 person meal deal. I didn't get any pics of the appetizers because we ate them so quickly the Thai style steamer clams were very delicious. The broth was amazing and I took it home to continue to dip the bread in.

Came home to grieve a loved one, last night all together so the whole family came to eat here. Gotta say it was worth it! I can’t deny the skepticism I had at first, but soon as each dish came one after another and getting to try every single one was “Broke da Mouth” fantastic!!!

Stopped in for dinner. What a fun, exciting and upbeat place. The service was phenomenal. The Pesto Chicken and Meatloaf was on point, tasty and satisfying. The Hobos for dessert were the perfect small bite loaded with goodness. A definite must stop when looking for a local hotspot.

We made our way here after being directed by the staff at the Pupu House bar (they said it was their sister restaurant). We ordered pig sliders, garlic shrimp and Thai chicken wings. Everything was good (lovely pineapple pulled pork!) but the garlic shrimp was simply the best shrimp dish we have ever tasted in our lives, ever. Nothing we ever had before, in any world cuisine, has come close to this divine shrimp experience. If you’re in Honolulu, drop everything and run to Uncle Bo’s to have their shrimp NOW. Thank me later. As you can probably tell we also had cocktails, Mai Tai and Pina colada, which were both delicious and gorgeously decorated with fresh flowers. We loved it and would recommend to take the short 10min bus trip from Waikiki to dine at Uncle Bo’s. Amazing value and a lovely place all around.

Google
OMG!!! Let me tell you! The food and cocktails here are fantastic!! I had the Mango Maui cocktail! It was delicious and the prices were unbelievable! I have not had a cocktail this good this cheap!!!! Plus I had the dynamite shrimp and it was on point!!! My entree was the grilled salmon, the salmon flavor was so delicous! The only issue was it was cooked about 3 minutes too long, a little dry in the middle. The food was priced on point. Not expensive as you would expect. The young man that was my waiter was very kind and a gentleman always checking on me. The outside looks like a strip center type of place so it looks like a dive but inside is beautiful!! Very nice place that is well worth the drive! Its 4 minutes west side of Waikiki.

Google
This is an unbiased review. We like it here, but had an issue this past time. Went for Valentines day. Always great food! On their website and on a LARGE poster in the window it says "Happy Hour Daily". Our reservation was right during the happy hour, and the waiter said they didn't have it. If you are going to not have Happy Hour because of Valentines Day, fine, but SAY SO. Take down the sign and change the website for the day. That is not fair to me or anybody else. I expected it because of clear signage and no message otherwise. If you don't take it down, you should honor it. You get a 3 this time. It goes down from here if I hear nothing.

Google
Amazing food! The appearance on the outside does not reflect the food or the inside of the restaurant. It was cool, clean, and had a very good vibe to it. The service was amazing, the tourists sitting next to us were super friendly and just the overall experience was great! We were starving and ordered more than we could handle but each dish was amazing to the last bite. Bo’s nachos was a huge hit! There was so much flavor and different textures, it was a must get or get again! Boca-Rota was the next dish and this was really good. It was a little heavy but I think combo with the nachos it makes sense but still would give flavor a 9/10. I am not huge on mushrooms but was still pretty good. Of course to balance everything we got a chicken Caesar salad and it was just what I needed for something fresh to hit the spot. I shared all these dishes with my cousin and we still had left overs. My top favorites were the salad and the nachos, the kalua pork on the nachos just had so much flavor and the meat was tender. My mouth is watering just talking about it. I would get the nachos over the boca-rota and try something new. Everyone must go here!

Google
Absolutely delicious, exceeded my expectations. Everything tasted very fresh. Very nice people. My first amazing dining experience in Honolulu this week. I would recommend Uncle Bo to anyone! Will definitely return. Support local! Mahalo!

Yelp
Wow! Incredible service! A group of us came in, probably their last large party of the night... From the start, we only had half the party that was in on time and the hostess got that table quickly set up and sat. MVP Raina (server) KILLED it! And for a large party, every staff member was helpful and it didn't seem rushed! Our main girl Raina was very attentive for a party of 11. The service overall, SPOT ON! You can never go wrong with the grindz! We did the "all you can eat" and let me tell you, we took advantage of that! I've had boca rota, which is hands down THE BEST dish! However, i also got to try their alfredo, a little basic. I will say though, it satisfied that crave I had for pasta! The nachos were also flavorful and idk what kind of sauce there was or drippings, but that straight "mops." I definitely underestimated those Uncle Bo's nachos. The fact that they use wonton chips is next level! I will definitely be down to having this again! I also always enjoy the dynamite shrimp. For the all you can eat, it had to be at least a party of 10.... And that filled us up quickly! Overall, definitely coming back again! I was amazed at the level of service and for a large party at 8:30.... That says a lot about their character. Amazing!

Yelp
Food and Service 5/5 ambiance and price : 4/5 The Boca Rota is delicious. Bread with melted cheese on top with tender beef slices and mushroom in a creamy sauce. Service was fast and the server was nice. Cons: The place needs an update. The first time i came here was 6 years ago and it looks the same plus some wear and tear. The prices are a bit on the expensive side - but then - this is Hawaii - everything is more expensive.

Yelp
Look, if you are a young person looking for huge plates of food, lots of shooters and booze, and not worry about being loud, this is your place! But if you are a middle aged/older couple, looking for "authentic" Hawaiian pupus, and have lost your ability to digest greasy, salty, heavy food... maybe just skip it. We really gave it a good "college" try as it was strongly recommended to us by a server at another restaurant. Eighteen year old me probably would have loved it. But holy cow, this was pure misery for me, lol. The place is very loud, with concrete floors, bare walls that seem designed to make everything loud. I wasn't the only "older" person wincing lol. We had: Six little piggies: dry, chewy, overcooked pork. Blech. Nachos - huge. But so covered with sauce and cheese it was soggy. Very greasy and salty. I think I would have liked it when I was 18. Crab cake & salad - this was their most successful dish. It is huge. The crab cake didn't have much crab but it was ok. The salad is enormous and full of cheese and ham. It wasn't great, just a giant, ok salad. The service was FANTASTIC though. We were quite surprised at how attentive and friendly the staff were, even though it was clear we were in the wrong place lol.

Yelp
A very nice ....delicious restaurant....try to go over the mountain to come here often. Bartender John is great...and the food is so tasteful.

Yelp
Came here after a long day of North Shore surfing. We were starving and the food here looked tasty and in large portions on picture. This turned out to be true, as everything we ordered came in nice, shareable portion sizes. I absolutely loved the nachos (with crispy wonton skin chips) and the grilled catch of the day, which for us was a yummy deep sea fish. The pasta, dynamite shrimp, and crab salad were pretty good as well. We left feeling very satisfied. Service was nice and friendly, and they even helped me with the very difficult to open bathroom door. The bathroom itself is a bit sketchy because it isn't in the building but rather a couple of blocks away through the back door, and requires a key and pushing at a very particular angle to open . We did also have a weird drunk dude walk in waving at our group and being awkward, but I guess that's normal around here because no one else reacted lol. Other than that though, the food and service here are very good! It'll definitely get you nice and full after a day of surfing.

Yelp
We loved Uncle Bo's! The restaurant is located in a small strip outside of the tourist areas in Honolulu. The food is mostly Hawaiian and was excellent. This was one of the better meals we had in Hawaii. Highly recommend!

Gregory C.

Yelp
Honestly one of the best meals we had while staying a week in Honolulu/Kapolei. We ordered many items and shared family style. My favorite dishes were the dynamite shrimp (not too much batter, very tasty and didn't need a sauce) and Caesar salad with shrimp (very well dressed, nice portion for a salad and many shrimp on top). The service was great--it gets crowded so we would recommend making a reservation in advance. I didn't get any drinks but people I went with enjoyed the ones they ordered. Not pictured is the bread they also offer as part of an appetizer and can be used to soak in any of the dishes that have a sauce. It's a bit unassuming outside and located on a Main Street so you may have to walk a little from your parking spot. It is absolutely worth it though. They have a nice bar you could sit at and a hidden back room that can fit bigger groups. This is going to be one of my go to restaurants when I visit. See you again soon, Uncle Bo's!

Tracy Howard ..

Yelp
I went for the first time yesterday before 5 PM. They have a great happy hour. I chose the wonton nachos with no onions. I really didn't love the dish because it was covered in tomatoes and I hate tomatoes. The menu doesn't mention tomatoes at all. Other than that, the staff was great and my friend loved her fish dish. So I will probably go back and try something else.

Yelp
Can be dressed up or down at Uncle Bo's! Great place to eat with family, friends, or have a dinner date. Mood is set with the low lighting but friendly atmosphere from the service and other customers. They have a long list of pupu's (tapas/small dishes), some mains, and drinks of course. We ordered the Boca Roca (5/5, so tasty), calamari (5/5), dynamite shrimp (4/5, kinda mayo heavy), ceviche (4/5), and the Thai steamed clams (5/5, never had this type of dish before). + Brownie ala mode for dessert (5/5!) Everything we ordered tasted amazing and the portions were great to share. We shared these dishes between 4 people family style and there was still leftovers :)

Yelp
Overrated. Food used to good and large portion. We ate there tonight, portions are smaller, prices more expensive, and it was too salty or just no flavor. Fried Rice was horrible. Expensive and super salty. Threw away half of it. Clams, barely any. Noodles was just spam and fish cake. Anyways so disappointed. Never coming back and dont recommend. So many better choices elsewhere to spend your hard earned dollar. No idea what happen to this place. Used to be the spot to go to. Not anymore

Sungju K.

Yelp
It's always a pleasant experience coming to Uncle Bo's. The food is great, drinks are great, and the service is always excellent. I believe they also upgraded their drink menu, as well. This spot is pretty regular for us and it never disappoints

Yelp
I was recommended this place by some folks I was working with, but was left pretty unimpressed at the end of the night. I had some hope because it was slightly off Waikiki, and a bit of a walk if you don't want to take a car. Inside, it was a pretty loud spot, but not bad on a weekday night. We were seated and got to ordering, with a good beer selections, and recommended dishes like the Boca-Rota and sliders. The Boca Rota was easily the best dish, since it was cheesy and was loaded with meat. I thought it was pretty heavy though. We shared the dish, but I can't imagine pairing this with anything else. The sliders were okay too, with a generally good flavor and portions, but nothing too special, in my opinion! The service was great though, and our waitress was awesome.

Josh M.

Yelp
Love this local restaurant located conveniently on kapahulu ave. Their food and service is always amazing. My favorite dish from this restaurant is their boca rota which I highly recommend as an appetizer. If you're visiting with a family or group of friends you should order a couple dishes to share so you can try out different things on their menu. Nicely done!

Alan B.

Yelp
We came here on the recommendation of a few local friends and we weren't disappointed. Service is friendly and attentive, and the bartender even came over when they were out of the whiskey I first ordered. I ended up with a Holladay Wheated Bourbon, from Missouri, which was smooth. For dinner I had the Fresh Catch of the day, which was Opa, broiled, and my wife had it Steamed. Both were good and nice portions (more than we could finish). It was an enjoyable dinner.

Yelp
First time at Uncle Bo's and i'm IMPRESSED! Parking is hard to find, have to find street parking. It's a pretty spacious restaurant and has a pretty cool bathroom! We did a family style and got a bunch of dishes and shared each one. We got: 1) Uncle Bo's Kalua Pig Fried Rice- flavorful and delicious 2) Uncle Bi's Seafood catch pasta, the sauce was fragrant and seafood was good 3) White Garlic mushroom pizza - sauce was good and garlicky 4) Cheese bread was one of my favorites, super cheesy goodness 5) calamari was crispy and the sauce was so good with it!

Hina M.

Yelp
I visited this restaurant with high hopes but left with disappointment. I ordered the Boca Rota and the Dynamite Shrimp which were two of their best selling dishes. The Boca Rota, the garlic bread was good but the meat tasted old and lacked the tenderness one would expect. The garlic bread failed to elevate the taste, lacking the freshness and flavour needed to complement the fillings. The Shrimp dish sadly shared a similar fate, the seasoning fell flat leaving the dish bland and uninspiring. The ambiance was good and even the service was quick. But overall the dining experience left much to be desired.

Yelp
Wow!! My lyft driver recommened this place! It was so good! Our waitress was super nice. Drinks are $11-12 here and my mai was strong and in a tall glass. Yum! I opted for one of their most popular dishes the boca rota $25 and it was delish!!! Garlic cheese bread with steak and mushrooms!!! Such a unique dish. Never tasted anything like it before. My dad got their garlic coconut shrimp and was happy as well. This restaurant has some unique dishes that look really good! Top if off with amazing service and descent priced cocktails and you have a winner! Definitely will be back when visiting waikiki again!

Leslene C.

Yelp
Another first time place for us...ordered crab cakes, artichoke dip, clam chowder. The crab cakes are really good, artichoke dip okay, maybe better piping fresh (we did take out), the chowder has so much different clams it was so Ono (wee bit watery for me but flavor is good). I definitely want to go back in person and try their other menu items. There is no parking, but the hostess told us since we picking up we can pull up on side as long as someone is waiting in the car, we did this and it was a breeze to pick up our take out. The place is on the smaller side so when we do go in person for sure we will make reservations.

Karina U.

Yelp
Wow this place just kills it. Service is great, they have an ENTIRE gluten free menu, and the food has so much flavor!! I got the ceviche and the baked fish. The portions were very large on both. Good music, good vibes, and good food. I wish I was staying longer so I could try more things.

Phil P.

Yelp
Great food and staff. The tickle pickle is amazing with their homemade pickle juice.

Devin G.

Yelp
Our Uber driver told us to check out Uncle Bo's and I'm glad we did. This place is really awesome and our server was a nice guy. Drinks came out quick and food was great. I really enjoyed this spot and will be back when I'm in Hawaii. Also, it's a nice spot if you're looking for drinks but not the bar scene. Check it out

Sherene H.

Yelp
Hole in the wall restaurant on kapahulu. The parking is difficult but there is plenty of street parking in the neighborhood area or across the street. Came here late at night and only got appetizers. We ordered their famous boca rota:cheesy bread with steak and their delicious sauce!! Also got a chicken oriental salad, clams, and their greasy fried noodles. All were hitting the spot. Finally dessert they have ube beignets! Soo good with their coconut sauce and vanilla ice cream. You get 6 pieces in one order which is plenty to share! I definitely want to come back for the dessert and boca rota!!

Robert T.

Yelp
Awesome stop on Honolulu. Great food Lively atmosphere. Variety of selections Seafood awesome.

Karla J.

Yelp
After touring the island I wasn't in the mood to eat out but I was hungry and the tour guide mentioned Uncle Bo's. So happy that I took him up on his suggestion. Now I only like my swine in bacon form, but nobody does pork like Hawaii and the kalua pork fried rice was exceptional. There was no barn yard taste you sometimes get when you eat pork products. I left not one morsel of that rice behind. I am upset because I know where I live the pork fried rice will 1. not taste the same and 2. not be available. I did it to myself lol. The star of my meal though was the poi beignets. New Orleans WHO?! I know my picture does not look like much, but those poi beignets were so scrumptious. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and when you dipped them in that sauce they came with MY GOD! Had I known they were gonna be that good, I would have ordered more.

Marge L.

Yelp
Every time I'm in Oahu I make sure to get my fix of the boca-rota. It's pretty much garlic cheese breadsticks with beef stroganoff sauce. So good!! The prices are a little on the steep side but the flavors are amazing!

Rhonda G.

Yelp
The fresh fish is always delicious at Bo's. The service is friendly making this a true neighborhood gathering place. This is a casual environment with a welcoming feel.

Emiko D.

Yelp
* drinks come out minutes after you order them (which is RARE for any restaurant hehe) * servers are friendly * cute aesthetic bathrooms to take photos in * Thai clams & boca rota are so flavorful & tasty!

Sarah J.

Yelp
Still a must for a trip to Waikiki. Don't get the pizza version of the boca-rota. They've stopped making their own crust and are using something like a Boboli. A half-baked one. The boca-rota is still fabulous, just get it the classic way. The nachos and fried rice remain outstanding!

Food G.

Yelp
Service was good and location excellent. Food on the other hand was barely edible. We started off with the happy hour seven dollar potstickers. Three little tiny potstickers lol we got the nachos, the chips were fried wonton. it was a soggy confusing mess. Also got the fried calamari, it was OK. Came with a giant bowl of soup for dipping, super odd. there was only one other table seated at this big restaurant at dinner time. I should've known better. The whole time I just kept thinking what would Gordon Ramsay do lol. He would've torn this place to bits. Such a great location and a great business model, unfortunately the food was a big fail and insanely expensive!! it's always a big tell when the wait staff never asks how the food is lol, they already know!

An N.

Yelp
Oh my god the best restaurant in Honolulu hands down. I've come to visit Hawaii around 4 times now and I always make sure to come to Uncle Bo's just because how good it is. The service is also always incredible and makes my experience wonderful. I will say its pretty dark inside and the music is pretty loud but it makes for a fun date night. My favorites are the Uncle Bo's nachos and the dynamite shrimp/boca rota pizza. Also the HOBOS (taro beignets with vanilla ice cream) ARE THE BEST!!!

Akemi O.

Yelp
Had a small Sprinkle for my sister with just our immediate family. 7 adults, 2 high chair aged kids. Text off hours to make reservation...they got back to me super quick and bam, res made. Early 5:30 dinner since the kids gotta go nene early. Me and baby went in little before 530...they had the res but table wasn't ready. No biggie since it was quick. They spaced the high chairs, so an adult on each side so parents can double team. Smart since that's how parents probably do it anyways. Set out some favors, ordered a glass of wine, put in an order for everything so that it could start rolling out when everyone rolling in. Perrrrrrfect timing. Surprisingly fam on time, and food started coming out almost immediately. Babies got food right away, which is always the most important for any parent to be able to relax and enjoy their meal. - 2 orders Boca Rota. Best dish on the menu. Pupu prime/mush/cheese with cheesey bread. Other than a little bit meat, that got wiped out. - Thai Steamer Clams - Too sweet for me, but everyone liked it. I like the bread to dip the sauce, but didn't dip the sauce. Baby who normally likes tomatoes didn't like the tomatoes...think she's with me on the sauce. - Dynamite Shrimp - can never go wrong with that. Not spicy so kid friendly. - S.O.S. ... I think this was the pan roast. YUM...as good as Vegas? I don't remember Vegas even if I just had it a couple months ago, so yes. - Garlic Ribeye - good as far as ribeyes go. Ordered with french fries. Fat fries. Didn't try it, but it got smashed. Ate the veggies tho...that was good. Baby gave up her green bean but demolished the zucc. - Fried Rice - YUM - Noodles - YUM. Baby approved. - Caprese - Tomato and Mozz cut very thin. I didn't try it. - Crab Salad with Avo - Typical salad...came late so no one ate too much salad. - Additional Crab Cakes - too much sauce on it, but the crab cake good. Both kids liked it too. Overall still on my "yup i'll go back" list. I always leave there happy and full...usually drunk but now that baby is around I had to be responsible-ish. Going early is nice b/c choke parking (paid $4 for 4 hours, but left before time was up...so cheap, it's better to be safe than ticketed!) and no line for the bathrooms. Only 2 bathrooms, so at "rush hour" there is always a line.

Yelp
When l first started dating my husband, YEARS ago, we would go and share the King Crab on the days they offered it. We loved going here... we had to move to the mainland for a few years and when we moved back we just didn't live in the same area so we haven't been back. We received a gift card from a friend so I decided to bring our daughter here tonight. Awww the nostalgia. Same cute little place, great staff, and wonderful food! My daughter had the pepperoni pizza, which of course she loved. I taste tested it and would for sure order it again. I went with Uncle Bo's Seafood Catch.... Ummmm yummmmm!!!!!! Obviously good. All the seafood was cooked to perfection. The noodles were perfectly al dente. I would have drank the sauce right out of the bowl but decided using the bread provided to sop it up would be more "proper". We finished it all off with the Hobo's for dessert and that was the best decision we have made in a little while. Thank you Uncle Bo's for still being GREAT! I can't wait to bring my husband back to eat here soon!

Diana C.

Yelp
Great service and had good food. It's on the pricier side for the value you get but the ambiance is great for big parties and gatherings.

Brittany M.

Yelp
We walked in at 9:15 PM on a Monday and they denied us a table and proceeded to say "we are closed". I continued to tell the host that we saw on yelp they close at 10:00PM and he continued to say they are closed for the night and recommended the Korean BBQ restaurant next door. I told them I love their food and they continued to say "sorry we are closed." Not recommending this place again. Thought this was a good spot to eat. NEVERMIND BRUH!

Leo Y.

Yelp
Haven't been to Uncle Bo's in a while, but recently took my family to meet my friend and his family for dinner. We had the artichoke dip, calamari, dynamite shrimp, fresh poke, and the pan roast as appetizers. All were very good, but my favorite was the pan roast it's a must try!! We shared the ribeye, spaghetti meatballs, chicken picante, and meat loaf. Everything was cooked well and tasted delicious. Ribeye was cooked perfectly and was cut pupu style upon request. My friend was there to review the bread pudding that is soon to hit the menu. It was a delicious take on bread pudding that is a little different than you might expect, but once this hits the menu you'll have to try it for yourself. The sweet bread is cut into 1 inch cubes, and what sets this apart from others is that it is toasted and the brûlée gives it a nice bite. The pudding is thinner than you might expect, but is a perfect complement. It's sweet but not too sweet, creamy but not too creamy, but it speaks for itself!!! Ohh, a la mode is also the way to go. I could've just eaten that for dinner!! The service was amazing and overall we had a beautiful evening. If you've been here before, or it's your first time you'll have a beautiful experience. Mahalo to Uncle Bo and family. Aloha, Kaleo

Jeanie H.

Yelp
Forgot we came here before and loved it and came back after every Uber driver recommended this place. Great service, everyone is so nice! Food is fantastic. Really, nothing bad on the menu.

Zach A.

Yelp
Great place for cocktails and small plate Pupu's Staff was friendly enough and they had cool menus. Check it out!

Lisa M.

Yelp
We were at Uncle Bo's on the north shore a few years ago and it was fantastic. So when we learned from a local that there was an Uncle Bos in Honolulu, we had to go! We ordered the calamari appetizer, which was good. It comes with a Tom yum type soup/dip on the side. Definitely a different spin on an old favorite! For entrees we ordered the garlic steak and Uncle Bos seafood catch. The steak was perfect and the noodles were delicious, but the only complaint is that they were a little on the salty side for my liking. We would still come back again to try other menu options!

Lisa S.

Yelp
Everything we tried from drinks to dinner was excellent! Highly recommend! Try the clam chowder or the steamed clams, you won't be disappointed!

Angela C.

Yelp
I love this place! 5 * with quality of food, 5* on service, and the speed of service is great. You may see this place like a whole in the wall when walking by but once you take a bite that all goes out the window. The BocaRota has always been my favorite. I have to add though I appreciated their dishes prior to covid. You can tell the BocaRota downsized. However, their food is still delicious. Another plus is they added the 'all you can eat' that really set the bar high. And i wanna go every dinner. Wish i had photos to post but take my word its a great place.

Marie C.

Yelp
Food is so tasty here!! Would definitely recommend! It is more of a pupu bar but you can definitely get full on the food here with quite a big crowd! Service is always good when I come here!

Celina C. N.

Yelp
I don't remember why I never left my review. I probably just forgot. But I was there years ago, in 2019. I discovered it here on Yelp and, reading the reviews, knew that we absolutely must try the Boca-Rota. In all of my dining experience across all the cities, states, and countries I've visited, including U.S. foodie centers Chicago, NYC, and LA, I've never tasted anything quite like it. I'm holding my breath for the day Uncle Bo's makes the Boca-Rota available on Goldbelly or something. The interior is so fun with its retro vibe plush velvet seating, long bar, deep colors and dim lights. It seemed a bit sketchy from the outside but once we entered it all made sense. I was concerned about the service when we waited and waited for our check at the end of our evening. But when we asked for it, our server told us that it had been taken care of by the two gentlemen (on a return trip to Honolulu to find and purchase a home) who had been seated next to us--with an open tab in case we'd decided to add anything else! We were floored by this incredible act of generosity. And it was all because they asked about what we'd ordered and we offered our impressions about each dish. They seemed to feel intrusive and were apologetic, but we were delighted to express our appreciation for the food--who wants to keep good news all to themselves?! So thanks not just to Uncle Bo's and the staff there, but also to the very kind couple for paying for our delicious meal. We hope you found your dream home and are living there together and happily ever after by now.

Yelp
Probably my favorite meal of the trip! Went with a group of friends and ordered the fresh fish that was so delicious and cooked to perfection! Flavors were amazing, service was good and overall a great little spot away from the chaos of Waikiki. Also had the clam chowder which was good, my husband had the burger (he enjoyed it) but those taro beignets everybody LOVED so save room!

Yelp
Stopped in for appetizers and a drink on a Friday night. Location: Kapahulu Ave & Campbell Ave. Street Parking. Service: Local Friendly Ambiance: Modern Local Bar Food: Oriental Chicken Salad-Chicken Breast, won ton strips, mandarin orange slices, green onions, tomato & cucumber with creamy sesame dressing -4/5 Tasty fresh chips and mandarin oranges. BocaRota-Prime Rib Strips sautéed w/ mushrooms in chili aioli w/ garlic cheese bread-4/5 Hobos-Baskets of warm taro beignets (6 pc) one scoop of vanilla ice cream w/ Frangelico American Honey Sauce -5/5 Glass of Kendal Jackson Chardonnay Recommend for a place to try. The only drawback is the homies hanging around outside as you enter the restaurant. A bit unappealing. Regardless, we will return.

Yelp
This has been on my list of restaurants to try in Hawaii and a local also recommended it. We ordered: - Boca Rota - Baked Opah Mauna Kea w Garlic Mash - Uncle Bo 's Seafood Catch I absolutely loved the fish with the garlic aioli. The garlic mashed potato's with the side of veggies went really well with it. I thought my bf's seafood catch was also pretty good. It was nice and creamy. The boba rota was ok in my opinion. I thought it looked better than it tasted. I couldn't really taste the garlic but it was something different to try and I still enjoyed it. They also had a great list of cocktails. I definitely recommend this restaurant to try.

Yelp
The food is so AMAZING! Everything we ordered was so tasty. I wanted to keep eating even though I was full. The steamed clams, Boca rota, the crab cake salad. The cocktails we ordered were very delicious and refreshing. We ordered several. I wanted to eat here DAILY! Go there now. You won't regret it.

Yelp
We came here for dinner with friends and ordered some apps and drinks. We ordered the greasy noodles (so good and flavorful!), dynamite shrimp (yummy! My favorite!) and the boca-Rota (this came later than our other apps but the wait was worth it. I've never had anything like this before! So delish!) Food came quick and service was great!
