Uncle Pete's Bread Co.

This is easily my new favourite sandwich in Toronto! Pete is super outgoing and personable and makes you feel right at home at his sandwich shop. I tried the OG, Chino, and soups (the Bisque and Cali Gold). The Chino was like nothing I’ve had before, easily an 11/10. It’s an arancini “patty” between their focaccia which is super soft with the perfect crust. It was super flavourful and the hot honey is the perfect pairing with the marinara. You also can’t go wrong with the OG. They make their whipped lemon risotto in house and it works so well with then mortadella, and soppressata. Already wishing I had more 😅. The soups were perfect with this cold weather. And as Uncle Pete recommended, dip your sandwich in the soup, it’s a game changer! Definitely worth checking this place out!

Already tried four breads from Uncle Pete’s Bread Co—each one was amazing! The classic bread had that perfect crispy crust and soft, tangy interior. The Focaccia was rich with olive oil and rosemary, so flavorful. can really taste the care and natural fermentation in every bite. Definitely coming back to try more. Highly recommended for sandwiches lovers!

These guys are an absolute riot!!! Despite being incredibly busy, they kept the energy high and the vibes higher. You can tell Pete genuinely enjoys making sandwiches , and it makes the whole experience even better. We ordered the OG; the focaccia was fresh, the prosciutto was a beautiful salty cut, and the hint of spicy chili oil tied everything together perfectly. Highly recommend adding the pesto! We stomp the market grounds often, but I’d honestly come back just to give these guys a high five. Great sandwich , even better energy!!!

People who say this place is good probably got their food for free. We tried the chino sandwich and focaccia sticks and both were just shockingly bad. The focaccia is genuinely flavorless and the texture is not good at all, one of the worst focaccias I’ve had and I could eat bread for the rest of my life just not this one. The chino needed more cheese or maybe it’s just low quality but it was flavorless and i didn’t taste any hot honey. Truly I don’t know how this place has good reviews.

One of the best sandwhicha I've had. I had the OG and wow it was salty, crunchy, soft, spicy and sweet; the perfect combination of flavors and textures that lead me to devouring the whole thing. I will definitely be back again.

I went in for donuts at dipped, came out with one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in Toronto so far. I could tell that they only use top notch ingredients and make their sandwiches with a lot of love! :))

We recently had Uncle Pete’s cater lunch for about 75 employees at our office, and the experience was absolutely fantastic from start to finish! From the moment we placed the order, the team at Uncle Pete’s was professional, responsive, and accommodating. The delivery staff arrived right on time, were incredibly friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfectly set up. They helped us organize the food in a way that made it easy for everyone to access, and they did it all with genuine smiles and enthusiasm. It’s clear they take pride in both their food and their service. We ordered a mix of The OG and Pesto Pete sandwiches, along with gluten-free and dairy-free options, to make sure everyone on our team could enjoy something. Every. single. person. raved about the quality and flavor. The bread was fresh, the ingredients were top-notch, and the balance of flavors in each sandwich was so good. You could tell everything was made with care and attention to detail. It’s not often that catering for a large group gets unanimous praise, but this lunch was truly a hit across the board. Our employees couldn’t stop talking about how delicious everything was.. several people even asked for the name of the restaurant so they could visit on their own! Thank you, Uncle Pete’s, for helping us pull off such a great lunch. Between the amazing food, friendly delivery staff, and seamless service, you made it easy for us to have a stress-free and memorable team meal.
