"On the southwest coast around Coral Group, Uncle Roddy's is a fabulous solar-powered beach bar and restaurant that makes for a great spot to spend a lazy afternoon or come for sunset cocktails and dinner. If you want to eat – and you should, the grilled lobster and other seafood they cook up beachside is fresh and delicious – then you need to reserve 24 hours in advance, as they only buy enough ingredients for confirmed guests. The bar serves all the usual tropical cocktails including Roddy's signature drink, the Barbuda Smash. Roddy's does lunch and dinner (again only with reservations). Look for Roddy's right next to the Barbuda Cottages, which is a locally run guesthouse. It is a 15-minute taxi ride from the main village."

The BEST meal and restaurant we’ve eaten on the islands, both Antigua & Barbuda. The decor is on point, it’s right on the beach, the service is impeccable and the food melts in your mouth. We had grilled Mahi-Mahi and Lobster sandwich, one of the best I’ve tasted. We HIGHLY recommend to anyone passing by Barbuda, the beach vibe is unbeatable!

The views were breathtaking, and the food was delicious. You must try the burgers and fries; it's a crowd-pleaser, and everyone finished their plates. Additionally, the drinks were fantastic and had a hint of Antiguan flavors.

Friendly staff, nice mood lighting. Lobster was impeccable, I didn't love the starters I selected (sea food trio and seafood chowder). HUGE portion sizes (who doesn't love that lol) I'd go back in the day and definitely have the lobster again, and try some cocktails.

We came for dinner a couple of weeks ago - they start serving at 6pm so we sat and enjoyed the sunset from the raised restaurant with a few cocktails. The staff are fantastic here and the food is delicious. Definitely recommend the burgers, salads and lobster too if it’s in season, actually I wanted to eat everything I saw coming out of the kitchen!

Amazing service and probably the best food we had in Antigua and Barbuda! They even gave us a ride to the ferry when we finished our meal! Highly recommend this great restaurant!

Uncle Roddy’s was amazing - if I could give them 6 stars, I would! We called with 12-hour notice and they were able to accommodate a party of 37 people coming from sailboats in Cocoa Point. Roland hooked us up! He arranged our entire trip, was punctual with responses, set us up with pre-fixed menus, and arranged transportation for us to and from the nearest beach bar, Shak-a-Kai. The food was outstanding (we had lobster, conk curry, and burgers) and the service was wonderful! Highly highly recommend to anyone coming to the southern side of Barbuda!

We had a wonderful dinner experience at Uncle Roddy’s on their reopening night. We were anchored in front of their restaurant (you can best follow Chris Doyle’s guide to bring boat through the reef) and arrived at 530pm to enjoy sunset and a wonderful first class cocktail. Hand shaken rum punch and a rum cooler were our favorites. We started with conch fritters which were perfectly made - not greasy and full of conch. We then had wonderful mahi-mahi fish tacos with very fresh hand made slaw. We topped that with an excellent grilled fresh lobster that was perfectly made and melted in your mouth with garlic butter fresh veggies and mashed potatoes. For desert we had a magnificent dark chocolate Creme Brûlée The staff was so friendly and the courses were brought out in perfect timing The ambiance was so warm with an upper floor view of the ocean and sunset with inviting lighting and table settings. The owners Kel and Uncle Roddy spoke with us for a while and shared the restaurants history. We have been cruising the islands for almost two years and Uncle Roddy’s is without a doubt one of the best restaurants we have enjoyed in all this time.
