Thinking for the price it’ll be good but was wrong. Me and family was the first here and made reservation 3 weeks ago from today! and had to wait for our food. One of my family members never had their food till the rest the family finished. (Shake my head) Chefs made mistakes on my food. 1st found hair in the pasta. Then server came back to ask where it is (completely understand why the server asked but these chefs should double trippier check there dishes before giving it to the server.) came back after she asked and gave me a different food and then they got it right but forgot my bread for the pricing and small portions payed $167. Uncle gotta check on your chefs $45 for the photo below (unbelievable)

Overpriced!!! $28 for fish and chips - and they weren’t even that good! Also do not allow substitutions even with a price difference - charged an extra fee for salad dressing. Over a hundred dollars for two orders of fish and chips a side salad and a two drinks. Nuts! Word must be out that it’s crappy overpriced food because it was dead in there. One other table seated - we should have believed the reviews but we didn’t :(.

Food was ono Service good Atmosphere quiet Not someplace for a quick inexpensive meal

We stopped in for lunch wanted to try some local seafood. We had the butter fish and a BLT sandwich with crab meat. Both dishes tasted decent, but serving size was small compared with other eateries here in Oahu. The prices were surprisingly high compared to Waikiki especially for a restaurant in a mid-level mall. The service was friendly and good.

The atmosphere was very nice but the fish tasted funny, like a sharp almost metallic taste to it. I recommend staying away from the fish and chips. They also did not honor the happy hour time they advertised and the owner was actually very rude about it. The food looks nice on the menu but did not taste fresh. I recommend eating somewhere else for those prices

Frequented Uncle’s before the move of the location. The food holds up and was amazing. Miss a few things from the old menu but worth the trip.

Went for lunch. Unfortunately the service wasn’t the best. Took forever for someone to take our order. There was maybe 3 other sets of people in the entire restaurant, 2 were already done eating. Our cocktails came after our entrees. Food tasted terrible. It was very overpriced for what we got. The prices are the same as a fine dining restaurant. If you’re going to charge $34 for a crab sandwich you can at least put real bacon on it and not the thin microwave bacon.

Google
The crab meat in the crab salad was tasty but the serving size was small. I asked for some pepper to put on my salad but it never arrived. I had to ask again. The lettuce/cukes/etc. in the salad were just average, as was the salad dressing. I don't consider this menu item to be a good value.

Yelp
I liked the crab salad I had on my 1st visit. 2nd visit...it was good but not as good as 1st time. Now this question is in general...to ALL restaurants who do this...For Lge grps they automatically add 18-22% tip. The amt of tip is fine as we usually tip btwn 15-30% anyway( leaning higher for the finer dining or more labor intensive service. I think to "automatically Add" somehow implies we might not tip at all? IDK if that's a good idea... an inefficient unfriendly server will also recve 22%(?) LUCKILY, Not the case HERE!! ALL SERVERS HAVE BEEN GREAT!! Well deserving of a tip so be generous HERE!! Maybe I'll try something else next time. Everything else looked great...fish tacos, fish & chips, that combo seafood fry, the fish entree...

Yelp
Server was nice at the bar. I always looked forward to coming. But realized my garlic ahi didn't taste and look the same. Sauce was definitely not the same Piece of ahi wasn't seasoned The plate for 38$was horrible I didn't even finish it Not even a to go It was horrible After reading its new owners Explains why They took that sauce recipe with them lol! Because i will never come back. Very sad because it was delicious But they were known for that sauce!

Yelp
I held off on this review because of a visit in September, and had hoped that was a one-off, unfortunately it wasn't. Learned a few things on this visit, and while the service was on point, as it always is, the food quality was less than expected and for the cost of some of the items, there was some loss of stars. If Yelp did half stars, I'd give it a 2.5. We arrived for a celebratory early meal and as soon as I sat down, I called our server over and asked her, "Sis, did you guys resolve the bacon issue?" in my most serious voice of concern. She immediately understood what I was referring to and replied, "No, sis. it's still the same, we have new owners and so some of the menu items have changed. You can order extra bacon if you want, I can check how much that might cost." I reluctantly agreed to see how much that might be. Others in our party asked about the fish tacos, and were informed that the sauces were slightly different, but the rest of the plate was still relatively the same. They both ordered the fish tacos. We also learned the new owners took over in September, (which was when we last ate at Uncles, which is when I had hoped it was just a glich and I didn't want to give a meh review for that visit that was out of the ordinary) We started with some drinks and the poke tower which no longer has sushi rice, and patiently waited for our meals to arrive. I got the bacon crab and avocado sandwich with extra bacon and my meal partners ordered the fish tacos. I'd like to invite you, gentle reader, to peruse the picture section to see what the Bacon Crab and Avocado Sandwiches used to look like, prior to September 2024. Those piggies were healthy, thick cuts of bacon. I'd also like you to take a look at the older pictures of the fish tacos, there used to be 3 tacos and alas, there are only 2. I do not know when the tacos went from 3 to 2, but the bacon was around September. (insert really sad face) When the food came out, some of the bacon was hanging out of my sando, so I took a little bite of it, and it caught me off guard because it was sweet. Like maple bacon. So I had my seat mate take a bite, just in case I was imagining it, and I wasn't, it was sweet. My meal partners were pleased with the tacos, noting that the new sauces were not too different, but they did notice that there was only 2 tacos when there used to be 3. A plate was ordered to go, and it was a special Opakapaka plate ordered on a separate tab. When the two bills came, one bill was paid via debit card and had no additional charges, but the second take out plate had an additional 2.5% charge on it for a credit card fee and the special plate was $68 (which seemed a tad overpriced for a piece of fish, one scoop of rice and some asparagus...yes it was a large piece of fish, but not nearly a price tag of $68 imho). Apparently if you pay with a debit card, no additional charges, but with a credit card expect to pay an additional 2.5% in fees. Service is always on point here, I do hope they figure out how to keep with the Uncle's quality of food as they work out the transition of new ownership.

Yelp
Unfortunately it seemed to me that the food quality had gone downhill since I last ate here (before the pandemic). My clam chowder was larger than I expected but did not have much clams at all. It was mostly potatoes, thick and just wasn't satisfying. The fish of the fish & chips entree wasn't quite what we expected as well. The fish looked more like portly fish sticks (instead of the typical serving of fillets at other restaurants) and was lacking in crunch. The side of fries were much crispier in comparison. Service at least was friendly, live music was playing but not enough to make up for the food. Note: If paying by credit card then be aware that they add a surcharge to your bill. Nothing was said when our credit card was taken so we saw it after we got the slip to sign. Annoying. There are better seafood places out there so we will not be returning.

Yelp
There was a change of ownership several months ago and the menu changed slightly but still got all your favorites. There's even some new stuff like the tomahawk steak. My absolute favorite is the poke tower. They now have a happy hour from 3-5 daily. We got the truffle fries, chicken wings, chicken potstickers off the happy hour menu and the poke tower. Everything was delicious. Wings were crispy and tasty and so were the popstickers. The poke tower is always delicious. Maybe one day will get the tomahawk for 2.

Kevin C.

Yelp
The potatoes were raw and had to be microwaved. 3 olives were requested with my martini, but it was served with only one initially. Many customers got up and left before ordering. Something is wrong there besides being too expensive for what you get. Will not go there again.

Yelp
Uncle's Fish Market & Grill was extremely underwhelming! I went to have dinner here with a large group and when we arrived, our table was ready for us. The waitstaff were friendly, but inattentive at times. Most of the food I tried was super bland and no one in my party cared for it. I think the French Fries were the best menu item I had. I had the Mahi Mahi with lobster and mushrooms and the Ahi Poke. The Ahi Poke was actually good too, but the Mahi Mahi was bland. It didn't taste good even after I added salt & pepper. I do not recommend this place and would not go back.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this place for a long time, but my spouse doesn't like seafood much. I've been on a clam chowder kick for a minute, and we decided to finally go here specifically for the seafood chowder. Firstly, there were hardly any customers when we arrived. The waiter sat us at a table that was just wiped down and it was still wet when he put down the paper napkins and menus. My spouse took one of the napkins and wiped it down with the napkin provided because it kind of grossed us out. We asked for another set of napkins... the waiter came by and took our orders. He seemed annoyed to be there. We felt like an inconvenience. The other half can polish off drinks like it's nobody's business. I was especially thirsty as well because I was doing yard work prior to going out to eat. We shamelessly downed our soda, I was on a second refill and my spouse on his 4th, and the waiter told us he'd have to charge us for more drinks because the refills are not unlimited. Ok. We switched to water. The food, with the exception of the fries which were delightfully crispy, was disappointing and therefore we deemed it to be extremely overpriced. My Seafood Chowder was more like a vegetable chowder with very little seafood in it, and the toast was just Texas Toast. Although the burger looked nice, it had no flavor to the meat. When asked if we wanted a dessert menu, it was already a total "no" for us. We have no desire to ever return to this establishment again. Even if the service had been impeccable, the food was unsatisfactory.

Yelp
I came to Uncles a couple of months ago for my first time at that location. I've been to the one they used to have on Nimitz a few times and I thought it was pretty good. This location is in Pearlridge, downtown, I believe. Not really familiar with that mall since I don't frequent it much. It's like on the side they have Sears. Uncle's is a pretty big restaurant. I made a reservation online and we were seated right away. The staff was friendly and the service was pretty quick. The prices on the menu was a little pricey from what I would normally spend for lunch. I was kind to disappointed that they didn't have a lunch menu. I think the last time I went to Uncle's I had the pasta. It was so good. I saw it on the menu and was nearly floored. It was like $40 for that pasta for lunch. So I didn't get that. Instead I got the fish and chips. The fish and chips were okay. It was a good size portion and I didn't finish so I took some home. I think I was secretly wishing to eat the pasta but then got stuck with the fish and chips, sad face. The fish and chips itself was $28. I think Uncle's was okay. I think if they offered a lunch menu or if I came for dinner, I might come again.

Yelp
Food: Ordered fish and chips, fish tacos, poke tower, & li hing mui margarita. That li hung mui margarita was literally DA BEST li hing mui margarita I've ever had, and I order it every time I see it on a menu. Didn't catch the bartender's name but her take on it is a winner. I would come back just to have that. The food was amazing too. All the fish tasted fresh, to be expected, and ono (delicious). Fish and chips were battered & crunchy. The coleslaw had a good balance of vinegar & sugar. Fish tacos had a wonderfully creamy sauce to go with it. I do recommend asking for lime with the tacos. Poke tower was a little pricy for a pupu (appetizer) but worth it in my opinion. Service: It wasnt too busy at the time but service was great. Staff was tentative & working in a cohesive manner. Ambiance: I love the interior decorations & looking at the old photos. Very well done. It would be nice if they added a little light background music.

Yelp
Food was okay, nothing special. Bill was over $700 for 6 adults and one child. Mandatory 22% gratuity of $124 which wasn't worth it. Add 3% service charge for using charge card. Needless to say we won't be going there again.

Yelp
We returned to this restaurant in January 2025 after great anticipation and were thoroughly disappointed. $175 buys you very little these days. The place was not busy, but the service, while friendly, was slow. The Grilled Trio platter was waaaay overpriced for what was served, and the fried fish was overcooked (dry). Giving credit where credit is due, the two fried shrimp, the one fried scallop, and the seafood chowder were all very good, but overall, for what we paid, no more return visits to this place. We'll be here 5 more days, and while we planned to return at least two more times, we're bidding Uncle's a farewell. Thanks for the memories of when you were a really excellent restaurant. We hope someday you'll remember where you started and how great you were.

Yelp
Due to all the amazing reviews, I'm wondering if we just had a bad night here, as that was not my experience. First of all, we had a $150 gift card to Uncles, but it was not honored and explained that it was due to "a new owner." I honestly thought it was illegal to not honor gift cards, but we didn't want to push the issue. Our servers were awesome and friendly, and the food came out fast. The food however, was just ok. Which is fine, except for a "famous" fish and chips that is $30 I was expecting it to be bomb, and it was just ok. I wouldn't be complaining it if were a $10-$15 meal. That was the general consensus of the food. Not terrible, but just OK and for the price, we were expecting more. Our desserts were free due to the birthdays we were celebrating, which is nice. But I was also surprised with their limited dessert menu. Overall, just a very mediocre experience.

Yelp
This is where you go if you want fresh fish! I believe these are the same people that were on Pier 38. I never visited that location but from what I heard, these guys pay for the better quality fish. We came on a weekday evening (Grandma gotta eat by 5pm!) with no reservation. The place was empty and would make a great location for a special event or happy hour with the full bar. I would interpret the menu as Japanese with a mix of Italian. I didn't see any vegan or gluten-free options so I'm not sure if they would be able to accommodate as they do have a "no substitutions" disclaimer on the bottom of the menu. They offer pretty much all seafood except for the steak or burger entree (no chicken on the menu) for the guy who doesn't eat fish. I ordered Uncle's original garlic ahi which was delicious! It tasted like a garlic picatta sauce over ahi. The crab salad was LOADED with crab but the winning dish however, was the sashimi bowl! If you want to eat clean and simple, this is the meal! Super fresh and delicious! We didn't make it to dessert but I will be back to have another sashimi bowl.

Yelp
Uncle's Fish Market & Grill is located above Long's at Pearlridge Center and open daily from 11am to 9pm. The restaurant is spacious and gives off a cozy sort of vibe. The restaurant pays homage to its history by displaying a collection of artifacts, photos, and antique fishing gear. The menu is extensive with fresh fish entrée offerings, sashimi and poke, as well as sandwiches and pasta. They've also got a great wine list and cocktail menu. I ordered the fish tacos and I had my choice of the fish preparation: grilled, blackened, or sauteed and also tortilla: soft corn of flour. They were served with cabbage, cilantro, and avocado and paired with house-made corn tortilla chips. The tacos were delicious and I would order them again. Service was great!

Yelp
Meh. We ordered fish tacos, grilled fish, steak, calamari, fries, and sorbet. The fish tacos were okay. The grilled fish was bland. The calamari was cut thick so it tasted more rubbery. My daughter didn't mind though. The steak wasn't a good cut of meat. It was cooked okay but there was no flavor at all. For almost $60 I expected better. The fries were okay. Even the sorbet didn't have a robust flavor. The location is in a mall with lots of other businesses and restaurants, which was fine. Parking was a bit of a struggle but that seems to be the case lots of places on O'ahu. The staff were friendly. After we paid, one of the hostesses was willing to take multiple photos of us around the restaurant. She's a gem. Overall, the food wasn't terrible, it just wasn't good. For what we paid, I was NOT impressed. We won't be visiting Uncle's Fish Market again.

Yelp
Made Open Table reservations for 6, they called to confirm and even reviewed where we would like to be seated. Wonderful customer service. Parking right in front of the restaurant. The servers were friendly and helpful. The food was refreshingly delicious! I had grilled seafood which came with 2 choices of fresh fish, 3 large grilled shrimp and 2 scallops. Grilled veggies were yummy and they had a butter sauce that perfectly complimented the seafood. My aunty had miso butterfish which was a generous portion and delicious. Drinks we had mango iced teas which were delicious and guava cider on draft also very good. Dessert: Highly recommend bread pudding ala mode, great flavor, Moist and perfect way to end the meal. I would definitely go again great selection of seafood and fresh fish.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite restaurant. Many good seafood menu. I took my friend birthday. He said this is best shrimp scampi‼ I love crab avocado salad, too. High sealing and unique interior make this restaurant special. All server are always nice.

Yelp
This is like my third time eating here!! Every time I come it's like they don't have what you want to eat!! Like yesterday no Sea Bass when we were craving for it!! Miso butter fish didn't have that much miso on it. The chirazushi bowl the rice wasn't too flavorful! Clam linguine was all right!

Yelp
We had a family party here for the Holidays. My favorite was the appetiser poke trio. It was really fresh and the flavors were vibrant. We loved the fried onions in the spicy tuna. Thought the poke tower was interesting, haven't had rice in the bottom of the tower before with chips. If you have to only get one appetizer go with the trio. I had the seafood grill for my main dish. The shrimp and scallops were cooked well. The fish was a little dry but was made better by the lemon butter sauce that was provided. For dessert we tried the mango sorbet and the bread pudding with dried fruit. Both were very yummy. The staff worked really well together and took great care of us. I think this restaurant is a little pricey, but the food is good. Maybe a place to come for a special occasion.

Yelp
I recently ate at Uncle's Fish Market and Grill and it was a huge disappointment. For a place that markets itself as an upscale seafood restaurant, the portions were shockingly small, and for outrageous prices. I should have known better when I walked in mid Saturday and there were only 3 other tables there and the rest of the place empty. I ordered the sesame crusted ahi while my friend ordered the fish and chips. When the food arrived, my dish was the size of an appetizer rather than a main course. I must've gotten an end cut, because it was thin and ended up being very bland and overcooked. I was hoping it was going to be served rare as stated on the menu but received a well done fish. The fish and chips that my friend ordered was even worse. The fish was bland and overcooked mahi-mahi. I tasted one of the pieces and it was very clearly frozen fish and not fresh. We left feeling unsatisfied, still hungry, and ripped off. The seafood didn't seem fresh and the dishes were overcooked. The server was the only redeeming quality but they can only do so much when the food sucked. I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for value for their money. There are far better seafood spots out here!

Yelp
Personally, I think the price is out of proportion with what you actually get...(inflation tho). The place gives mediocre but has potential for improvement. . For the gram - I've always been a huge fan of the interior decor! Such a great fishing display with lots to admire. . Foodie fav - both the salmon and ahi belly just melts in your mouth! . However, drowning the ahi in gravy is NOT the way to go. The menu said it was supposed to be a citrus soy, but gravy is a more accurate taste description. . Salmon Ahi Belly Seafood Chowder . cheers.

Yelp
Trio pupu platter highly recommend. One of the poke was with pesto and lime. Didn't taste the pesto, the limo made it very salty. The spicy poke was not spicy at all, but enjoyed the fried onion topping with it. Fish was fresh, it was a bit pricey for the amount of fish, but would order again. I order the ahi belly. $22. This was worth the quality and quantity of the dish. Accompanied with brown rice and vegetables. Fish was tender and flavorful! My dinner date had the combo with swordfish. This was recommended by the waitress. It was a big portion and she enjoyed the dill sauce that came with. If you like lychee, you will like the lychee alcoholic drink!

Yelp
Food was perfect! Been craving a good fish 'n chips since we got here last week and Uncle's did not disappoint! The service was stellar even though we were severely underdressed and the atmosphere was amazing!

Yelp
I've never ate at Uncle's Fish Market before, but considering my first experience with my family there. Already out of the gate, I liked the ambience there. Food was great. For the appetizer, I wanted to try something different and "out there". That led to the Poke Tower. The name felt interesting and it was delicious. For the main meal, I ate the Big Uncle's Combo. And wow...that was a lot of food. I thought I wasn't going to finish my dinner because of how much fried food I've ate. Somehow, I got through that without any issues. I liked my experience there. Food was great. Maybe next time, I'll try something else to enjoy as well.

Yelp
On a recent holoholo day, we ended up around Pearl Ridge Center and wanted to try something new with outdoor seating. Looking on Yelp, Uncle's Fish Market popped up and we decided to give it a try! It's located in the Downtown/Makai building of the mall, with dedicated parking right outside. They have around a dozen umbrella tables, but with the way the sun moves, you may have pleasant shade or blinding sun. The interior has high ceilings and fun kitschy maritime and fishing decor; fish, tackle, boats. It immediately reminded us of Uncle's at Pier 38 and we asked about that: this location opened as a second location but setbacks from the pandemic led to them choosing to close one so the original at Pier 38 bit the dust. Right off the bat, the staff here was friendly and fantastic; we had shift change during our meal and was equally happy with the service. We all found something delicious to try ranging from specials, lunch specials, sandwiches, and cooked fish. I tried the popular tuna sandwich, a favorite fish for me, and was delighted in the freshness, vegetables, roll, and fries. On the hot day I also had an iced tea and loved that with the constant refills. The rest of the table all enjoyed their meals. The only part that was lacking was the price with portion size ratio; we loved the quality and preparation but it didn't feel special enough to warrant the cost. Despite this, we'd love to eat here again. I recommend if you're sitting outside, wait for early evening as it seems they have cozy lighting for when the sun goes down.

Yelp
This place has a lot of really cool fishing decor all around with TV's playing videos of some good catches. We visited for lunch and we were surprised to only see 2 other groups dining. Service was great, staff is all very nice. We had the seafood chowder and calamari center cut steak, I found the calamari to be kind of bland and the breading fell off when picking it up but the seafood chowder was great. We also ordered the blackened fish tacos which were Ono. They were absolutely delicious, adding lime to them made them perfect. And the deep fried mahi sandwich which was swordfish just due to availability. The server ensured the Swordfish was very fresh and it tasted great. The rest of the menu sounded really great and I'm looking forward to visiting for dinner sometime soon!

Yelp
This is a great place for fresh seafood. The mahi mahi I had was tender and flavorful. Also, the service is really friendly and quick. I also like the free refills. Great place to come with friends and have a great time.

Yelp
We were finally able to visit Uncle's in their Pearlridge location. My wife and I spent the morning at Turtle Bay riding horses along the beach. We then stopped by the Premium Outlet Mall and bought some great finds from the Coach store. By then we had worked up an appetite and stopped in at Uncle's. Google maps had challenges finding the exact location but once we came from the correct direction saw it right next to Gen. We were seated promptly since it was late for lunch time. The menu looked slightly different from our last visit when they were still located near the docks. We started with a glass of draft Longboard which really hit the spot after spending a day outside. My wife did see the linguini with clam sauce and she ordered the Big Uncle's Combo meal which has fried mahi, Calamari, and shrimp. That is her go too dish here and they hit the mark. My linguini with clam sauce was awesome. I am picky about my food, and their linguini with clam sauce was fantastic!

Yelp
Most notable good things: - clean, casual, and relaxing atmosphere. The ambiance is definitely what makes this place stand out. - most of the food is well prepared and well portioned. Not huge portions, but not stingy. Taste of the sauces is good and nuanced. Presentation eating in is nice. Notable things I'd consider before eating here again: - price is quite high for the food. You're definitely paying for the ambiance and the dine in experience. I don't think I'd do takeout unless there's a particular dish you're craving from here in particular, as the prices are the same as dine-in. - some dishes (the crusted ahi in particular), are not particularly flavored enough to me. Without some sort of sauce, there is no taste that would make me order it again. When I tried it for takeout, I simply dipped it in some Aloha Shoyu, and then with Kikkoman Ponzu sauce to make it more like what I'd expect. I don't know if I'd pay that much for something that I need to season with household condiments which it didn't come with. Overall, would I eat here again? Probably, but the biggest reason I would consider going somewhere else is the price. If I'm paying for a high end experience, I'd expect more than just ambiance and dine in presentation to justify the cost. The only reason it's not 5 stars for me is the price.

Yelp
Spur of the moment dinner decision that we done regret! It's been awhile since we've been here, will have to come more often! Service was awesome. Our table was ready upon arrival so we were seated immediately (we had made reservations 20 minutes earlier). Erin, our server was wonderful. She took great care of us. We ordered drinks that came pretty quick. Hubby had Uncle's mai tai instead of his usual beer or scotch. I was surprised but he made a great choice - it was delicious!!! I ordered aLi high margarita, blended and it was also great. Food - hubby ordered the sesame crusted ahi, seared and cooked medium rare. Uncle's serves grade #1 ahi and you can tell the difference in taste and texture. His ahi was seared just enough, and the center was still raw and wonderful. I had the poke tower and it was so delicious I ate all of the ahi tower. Only leaving some tortilla chips! The combination of poke layered over sushi rice masago, guacamole, ahi tartare (ground ahi), topped with nori strips was perfect but it's self but even better with the tortilla chips. Price was reasonable for what we had. It wasn't back on the menu but Erin mentioned the poke trio is back. Will try that next time. We are coming back soon. It was a very nice experience from start to finish.

Yelp
No wait at lunch time. Had uncles combo- shrimp, calamari, fish and fries. Food was hot and panko breading was crispy. Service was good. I'd like to try other things on the menu.

Yelp
We hardly eat at Pearlridge. We usually go for the shopping. But it was a special occasion and we just had to go. They had outdoor seating, but it was pouring rain when we went so we went inside. We went around the time when they opened, so no one was in there yet. By the time we left, there were a few families sitting down. Kinda pricey. The decore was really cute with all the painted fish on the walls and real fish hanging on the ceiling (or I think it's real). We had the Mahi mahi fish and chips combo and the Tombo fish and chips combo. It was a pretty good choice to share instead of choosing individual dishes. The tombo fish was a little dry for my taste, but it is a pale fish. The mahi mahi was more juicier and tastier. It was great that they have these combos so you can choose both options if you want if you can't decide. The fries are always good and you get three different sauces for your meal: tartar sauce, ketchup, and some sort of ranchy type sauce. You can ask for more sauce, but you do get charged btw. There is a giant bottle of malt vinegar for your fish and chips, so that's always delicious. Overall, a nice meal.

Yelp
Food: Excellent - Service: Excellent - Ambience: Excellent My husband and I decided to have valentine dinner at this restaurant, because it is one of our favorite restaurants. We've eaten at this restaurant many times - food and service always excellent. We were very disappointed that they don't have oysters anymore. Our server Melissa is da best - She's very pleasant, attentive, helpful and very patient. We ordered and enjoyed the sashimi and calamari steak for appetizers. We loved the miso butterfish - it was so tasty, melts in your mouth, absolutely amazing - I told Melissa to please compliment the chef for the delicious food and presentation. We will most definitely come back. A lot of times we dine here with our friends to celebrate birthdays and other occasions.

Yelp
The fish and chips entree that I had was nearly $30, for that you get overcooked fish, dry and tough. Fries were your average frozen/fried items. Next time, I order the shrimp and chips

Yelp
One of the few places in Honolulu that makes Happy Hour a truly happy event. The service and food were very good.

Yelp
Some friends and I stopped by for dinner. We started with the deep fried calamari steak appetizer. It was crisp on the outside, but very tender on the inside. I had the crab, bacon and avocado sandwich. The bacon was crisp with a little of flavor and the avocado was fresh, but the crab salad could have used more flavor. The fries were excellent. A bit on the thicker side, but they had good church. I liked the fact that they serve a plantation iced tea. One of my friends had the clam pasta, which he said was one of the best he has had. The other had the seafood medley, which he said was also very good. We also had a nice Pinot Grigio, as well as a Hapa Russian.... Very interesting.

Yelp
This was my first time at the new location at Pearl Ridge and its beautiful. Staff were really kind and helpful. I was with a large group and they we're able to handle us without any problems. I ordered the sashimi bowl - very fresh and the chefs choice, along with ahi and salmon, was Ono. I'd never had Ono raw but it was very mild and refreshing. I think I actually like it better than hamachi. My favorite part of my meal was the V Sisters cocktail! Very refreshing with hibiscus and Im not sure what else but it wasn't too sweet and didn't burn of alcohol. One of the best cocktails Ive ever had. I took a star off for price, its a bit overpriced in comparison to similar dishes but if you have the $$$ then dont be afraid to go. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
My brothers and I are meeting on a regular basis because of how pandemic is and taking precautions despite the lifting of face masks on 3/25/22 in Hawaii. We still will wear our masks and keep our vaccination cards on us in case a restaurant wants to see our cards and IDs. However, some restaurants provide hand sanitizers. We are required to wear masks still! Today is 3/10/22, Thursday and catching up with four days of a birthday week for a friend as well as family get together. This place is great regarding fish dishes. My brother Ron love to eat fish rather raw or cooked. We ordered a ahi tower as an appetizer to share...six layers of absolute goodness. Sauce, ahi, avocado, ahi, Tobiko, and garnish (sesame seeds and seaweed) are what makes up the tower with tortilla chips. The creaminess of avocado, little crunchiness of Tobiko, shoyu...seaweed flavors kicked up the flavor of ahi over chips which added more crunchiness! This is a great textured appetizer! We ordered: Sword fish sandwhich (big piece between a hamburger bun). This was consumed by a friend so fast that I couldn't take a picture. Although it had mayonnaise and lettuce, tomato...he dipped it in ketchup. He's one of those "love my ketchup man." Sesame Crusted Ahi plate with au jus, rice, and cooked vegetables (not pictured). My , "Mr. love fish brother" was making so much noise while taking each bite...Lol! Second brother had a Seafood Linquini and took half to his wife. He's still has post effects after recovery of COVID19, Delta Varient....appetite not there yet. You can't go wrong with a creamy garlic butter sauce...dang! But his wife said, order her a clam chowder too! Oh my?! Guess who's paying? LOL!!! For myself, I had a mahi mahi fish and chips with cole slaw, and fries. I love the crunchiness of each good size dish (3) dipped in tartar sauce. The cole slaw was refreshing, Mayo, and slight vingear and not overly saturated...perfect. Of course, I love good fries with slight crunchiness dipped in ketchup...another textured meal. Dessert: You can't go wrong with gelato (1 scoop Vanilla and chocolate each! Creamy, sweet, and cold...just phenomenal! Have a blessed day...Ciao!

Yelp
Food was flavorful, a tad on the salty side. I was surprised that the garlic ahi came with a cream based sauce. It was lemony, garlicky, and the capers helped break up the heaviness from the sauce. The fish itself was okay. I ordered it medium rare and it was served medium with virtually no sear, which made it very limp in texture. The veggies were seared nicely, but it would've been nice to see more locally sourced vegetables rather than the run of the mill broccoli, cauliflower, carrot, green bean mix. What this place has going for it is the attentive and helpful staff and clean establishment. Great choice for taking your parents or grandparents out for a nice meal.

Yelp
This place is located in Pearlridge mall so no problem with parking. The staff were very nice and attentive. My friend and I ordered some cocktails lychee-tini and pineapple punch. Both were yummy. We started off with the calamari steak and it was an amazing large crispy steak which was so moist. The best I've ever had. We ordered the garlic ahi and Chilean sea bass. The garlic ahi was cooked to perfection and the garlic flavor was perfect. Just thinking about it makes me hungry for it. My friend enjoyed her sea bass too. We were both extremely happy with our meals. They also have a full bar with drafts on tap too. The only gripe is it is on the pricey side.

Yelp
Nothing really exceptional experience. Pricing was a little expensive for what was received. Think $35 to 45 for lunch.
