Uncommon Bar

We were there on Saturday, and it was truly a blessing! We were a group of eight people and ordered the whole menu to share so we could try everything — and honestly, the entire menu sounded absolutely amazing. We also enjoyed a few bottles of wine, haha! Huge respect to the kitchen – just one woman managing everything perfectly. The dishes were outstanding, and the waiting time wasn’t long at all, especially considering the number of guests and other tables she had to take care of. The service was top-notch — he explained every wine and introduced each dish so perfectly and passionately. Thank you for this very special evening. We highly recommend it. It was a dinner full of quality, love, and passion. The menu is entirely vegan/vegetarian, and we didn’t miss a thing. This is such a pure and refined vegetable-focused cuisine. Every product was showcased perfectly as it is — no fake meat or substitutes. Big compliments to the perfectly guided service and the kitchen. We felt very comfortable and warmly welcomed. And by the way — the best espresso martini of my life!

A place that has been on my “want to go” list forever and by coincidence my sweet boyfriend took me for a surprise Saturday night date to this exact bar. What can I say? If you’re up for mindblowing food, paired with amazing natural wines (honestly these ones are amazing, especially the bubble one) and a great atmosphere and good service = then this is your place!! We had the flatbread with coconut and a cocktail as an appetizer (fyi the mescal sipper is actually a pure tasty mescal, not a cocktail itself - I had the gin one which was delish). We then went all in for shared dining and requested the waiter what his favorites were. He recommended us the pineapple one and the leeks, both AMAZING! Especially the pineapple one, this is just something special. He also paired an amazing wine to go with it. We then finished strong with the fresh parpadelle pasta with a matching wine and finished with an amazing sticky puddy dessert with miso and pairing orange wine. Just no words, you gotta try it yourself!!

Uncommon bar has the best pastries in Amsterdam! Their flavours are unique, always having new pastries to try. My favorites are the kimchi croissant (such as good combination of flavours), the tiramisu croissant (literally melts in your mouth) and the pine cream croissant (this was a limited Christmas edition but it has stuck with me)! The interior is very nice and the staff is always polite. Just make sure you arrive early to find a spot and a larger selection of pastries. Love love love Uncommon Bar!

Uncommon Bar offers an experience that’s Michelin-level cooking and service. The atmosphere is warm and intimate. It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, relax, and really savor each bite in a cozy, thoughtfully designed space. The food is creative and an absolute explosion of flavors.

Stopped by for a coffee and a peanut butter croissant and loved both the atmosphere and the taste. Definitely one of my favorite cafés around.

i ordered the kimchi croissant and a flat white. the croissant was quite tough, i didn’t love it. the flat white was good though.
