They had an open house tour last week. If you're not a member of the gym and go to the open house tour, they let you use the exercise equipment and freely walk around the gym to look at the beautiful architecture. The event was free to attend. My favorite is the money vault on the lower level. Today, it is used a lounge.

This gym is awesome! So cool to work out in a former gilded age bank. All the equipment is modern and up-to-date. Never too busy. Awesome staff. If you live in Baltimore, or are visiting Baltimore, you are crazy not to come here!

I joined about a month ago and love the gym. Music is a little loud. Set up could be more fluid and staff is pretty friendly. Had to lose a star because of communication from gym, hours and event planning. Have you ever had to plan a work out with models using the turf for a casting call? I did and it was not communicated that this would be happening. They told us we couldn’t use the gym for Friday for a “personal event” and I’m guessing Friday wasn’t long enough. Mind you they are only open from 8-4 on a weekend and this casting call was on a Sunday. I never experienced anything like it… trying not to burpee without bumping into a model is kind of hard work. I was recommending this gym to everyone but today definitely left a very sour taste in my mouth

This is the Nicest Gym in The Inner Harbor Area. I used to be a Tenant of Arrive Inner Harbor above this timeless Gem of a Gym and I unfortunately was unable to return to Baltimore but that doesn't change the epic quality of this Gym as Someone Who cherishes proximity and convenience in City-Living. I would criticize the only negatives being the Hours: I think that all Gyms should have 24/7 Access and that's just a preference but I think that's something that would benefit many Gyms not just this one across the Board. The Equipment is great: The Astro-Turf is and has been ahead of it's Time for those unaware that MANY Gyms only now are competing with similar Astro-Turf and Sled-Training Performance Training Centric Personal Training as well as focused Weight-Loss and Better-Health. Under Armour Performance Center has been doing that for YEARS. The Pit-Shark is another great of example of a piece of Equipment that I haven't seen at more than I think only 1 other Gym anywhere in living in Pittsburgh, Austin Texas and Baltimore. I honestly can't think of another Gym that has a Pit-Shark. For those familiar with Boxing Training; That's huge for Performance as well as general Health and Wellness in Eccentric Performance Based Personal Training. I speak as a Personal Trainer and an Amature-Boxer. The Inner Harbor is breathtaking and I adore this Gym. The only other criticism that I can think of is that I do wish that the Smoothie-Bar and Juice Bar still was operational and I do remember the Sauna being out so there are things to be honest and fair in my Review but that having been said there honestly isn't anywhere with as Competitive of Pricing in a Membership, as attractive in appearance of a setting, as good of equipment all in a combination that offers FX Hair Studio, proximity to Arrive Inner Harbor for Tenants of that Building and within The Historic and gorgeous Inner Harbor. I love this Gym and I hope that if I'm remembered or acknowledged in my Review that Management and Staff know that I miss that place and hope to return to Baltimore soon! The Boxing, Cycling Room, Treadmills, Pit-Shark and other pieces of Equipment are great and I honestly felt like it was such a Gift to have that Gym there right underneath my Apartment Building at Arrive Inner Harbor. The Hours and some tweaks here and there are again just honest criticisms but I think again fair and with time I think will serve as a competitive platform against which many Gyms in Baltimore City will need to compete to be not only successful but thrive and be as effective and enjoyable. God Bless and many Years to come Under Armour Performance Center!

Google
Just quit this awful gym. I would ignore the other reviews on here and, instead, come take a look for yourself. Yes, it’s a gorgeous bank from a bygone era. Today, a majority of the “amenities” are out of order. Dirty, dusty lockers. Not even clean filters so the water is undrinkable—at a gym! This is under armour?

Google
I have loved my experience with the gym. The interior is stellar, they are very few to offer steam/sauna rooms, never seen it crowded, staff is very friendly. Their student month-to-month membership is a cost of two lunches a month.

Google
Excellent gym in a repurposed bank. Great for lifters and those in search of diverse, creative equipment. Plenty of tvs, staff is excellent, locker rooms are quiet and well maintained. Updates and repairs are very slow. Prices are steadily rising. Month to month membership around $85.

Google
Most iconic gym I've been to! This was the highlight of Baltimore to me, a gymrat. Anyways, the space is VERY well equipped (ski ergs, rowers, stairs/steps machines, treadmills etc) and your functional/cross training gears (battle ropes, medicine balls etc). Female changing room is very well maintained and clean. Too bad I didn't manage to enjoy their sauna facility. Shout out to Freddy for a great midday boot camp too!

Terpmaniac G.

Yelp
Poorly, run poorly managed. No live tv. So no watching the Ravens or Orioles on the big screen tv's nor any machine with a tv, all access to live sports gone. Never seen the manager. No steamroom in the mens locker room. The equipment is old and one of the staff keeps peering into the men's sauna. Weird.

Yelp
In town and the hotel gym wasn't cutting it. I found this spot for $40 for a week pass and figured I should give it a shot. It has a good balance of cardio and free weight equipment, some Olympic plates and several machines. They have a bunch of stuff that some folks may go through the hassle of setting up, like pushing sleds, etc. and a turf to use it. Locker rooms are sufficient. Small sauna and steam room in the men's locker room, towels at the front desk, showers were nice with shampoo/soap in the stall. Front desk gave me a lock to use and said the daily workout classes are included in the pass. Friendly staff. Glad I went for it!

Christopher M.

Yelp
I was in town visiting. When I woke up in the morning, figured I'd get a workout in. Like clockwork I get dress run to the gym take a look around. They had your standard push and pull machines. A Few dumbbells, your standard treadmill and elliptical. Took a look on yelp saw Under Armour was a few blocks away. I decided to walk over there. Checked in at the front, payed the fee (well worth it) and walked in to the best gym in the downtown area. From equipment spacing, cleanliness and staff assistance I would highly recommend locals and visitors to enjoy this amazing facility.

Yelp
Gym time!!! Just what I need...ALWAYS!! The setup of this gym is unique....not really in the best way though. I did like how it has the city feel inside (meaning the vaulted ceiling, big morals, and special touches everywhere). It was a long but narrow gym. I like to feel like I have a Enough room when I am working out but we all had to continue to shift around and some people even had to wait to pass. This gym offers classes, free weights, tons of cardio machines, boxing bag, salon and spa. One of the best things is the Jacobs ladder!! They have 3!!! That's exciting to me because so many gyms don't have this as an option, it will wear even the fittest person down! During my visit I took a circuit training class, and it was a blast. We started with warm up drills to get the blood flow going. Then We did bosu glute thrust, TRX pull ups, mountain climbers with sliders, goblet squats, ball slams, weight push and suicides. We did them in a interval of 30seconds on 10 seconds off and then 30 second back on! It was such a great workout! Kraft the whole group sweaty! If you are around, I would truly try this gym. I do suggest if you like more open space this may not be a place for you.

Yelp
The gym is great. When you can use it. Once again went to the location only this time to find it closed until the 6th of June for filming. I get it film crews pay al lot for space but you have a contract with your members too! Recommending we drive 30 minutes one way to use your other facility is unreasonable - tone deaf at best considering the current gas prices. Opening headquarters to all members (a 5 minute drive away) would have been the appropriate action to maintain a healthy relationship with your guests, your brand and still get your film contract. Come on operations - you can do better!

Yelp
This is an alright gym. I don't have much complaints other than the decreasing number of classes. There used to be a boxing class and an HIIT class that were pretty cool. The cancellation process is so silly! You literally have to go to the gym, tell them you are cancelling, wait for someone to email you with a form, go to the post office to send a certified mail with the form to their PO Box....who does things like this nowadays...even for tax return you can do it online!

Yelp
Not really sure as to the reason they have a low score. Very nice facility and compared to another gym I was about to sign up with (much more updated) Staff are friendly and helpful if you have any questions.

Yelp
This is definitely the coolest gym I've ever been. ( I would even say it's the coolest gym on earth) It was originally a Bank of America building, thus the interior is super rad. They have a physical therapy, the salon and spa are currently closed. There were plenty of machines in many variety so no need for waiting. I've had 2 sessions of private class with Paige and it's so far so good. 10/10 would recommend to a friend. I just wish there will be boxing group classes, that I will get a membership.

Yelp
I took a boot camp class here the other evening. It was fun. The gym is an old bank so the set up is kind of odd. The boot camp class was literally in the middle of the gym. If anyone had insecurities about people watching them work out, that all had to go out the door. I forget the trainer's name but she was polite and upbeat. The circuits kept my muscles burning. As for the gym itself, it has a little bit of everything. They offer classes. I don't recommend going to a six o clock class like I did, unless you aren't commuting far- traffic is gorgeous and don't mind paying for parking. You can't park on the streets until 6 and if you're like me you try to get to class early. The gym has TRX, sleds, bosu balls, free weights, boxing bags, sled and row machines, a very mini basketball court and a spa. Not sure about the regular pricing of the gym but it's worth checking out

Yelp
I absolutely love this gym. The staff is exceptional, always friendly and helpful. The facilities are great and as far as gyms go, it doesn't get too crowded. The busiest times are understandably between 5-7, but even then, I've been in way more crowded gyms. They have a lot of space for you to do anything want (people do sprints inside). Lots of machines. Free classes with your membership, everything from yoga to boxing to total body workouts. The only negative I can think of is that parking is annoying. It's free after 6pm on the street, but you need to find a spot and pay before 6.

Yelp
Tried this gym on a trial; its large, clean, never super busy, tons of cardio machines. Def impressive from the looks of things. The 3 stars is for 3 things; 1. I took several classes during my trial; some of the classes are not very hard at all and they claim all the instructors are meticulously focused on form. However, I took at least 2 classes where instructors had their noses in their phones. 2.Frankly, there are not enough classes. I came from a gym that offered 60 classes a week. There needs to be more options across the board. The classes I attended (especially the boot camp ones) were busy. And no classes Fridays after work and one class on Sunday. The weekends are when I can readily attend classes and there is limited options. 3. Parking! Where the f*#k can you park....and not pay $3-5 each visit. I go to the gym 4-5 days a week so factor the parking in with the 75/mth membership and you are well over 100 bucks. No bueno! Sadly, based on these factors, I am not joining this gym.

Yelp
I joined with a coworker about two months ago and LOVE this place, so I need to counterbalance some of the negativity going on in the reviews. I previously belonged to a Y near my house, but started attending here because it's two blocks from work. The membership price is awesome ($50 when I signed up, but now I pay less because our company gets a discount). The facility itself is state of the art, housed in an old bank building- beautiful architecture, awesome history, such an interesting setting for working out. Way cooler than the rows and rows of treadmills at other gyms. Locker rooms are always clean (just like everywhere else in the facility), and "The Vault" is a neat cool-down/chill out area. I usually go after work during the week, and although I feel like that should be a busy time, I never have a problem grabbing the cardio machine I want to use. There are classes available throughout every day too! Finally- The staff is ALWAYS immensely friendly and willing to help, from the personal trainers/instructors, front desk staff, cafe staff- and gotta shout out to Kyle, who does tours and membership. I got two free personal training sessions when I joined (with Sammy, who rocks), but even if you have questions during a regular workout, there's always someone willing to help walk you through an exercise or give you tips about equipment.

Yelp
I just joined this gym in August of 2018. My former gym location closed their doors and I was in the market for a new gym home in the downtown area. I mainly chose this gym for numerous reasons, one, location, location, location. Two, I wanted another gym that offered challenging group fitness classes, coming from Brick Bodies, I always received the work out I came for. Also what sold me were the other amenities, such as the juice bar and the salon and spa and the physical therapy office that I currently utilize as well. So far my fave group fitness classes are the boxing and the UA Total classes. The front desk staff are always friendly and polite and are quick to assist you whenever you have a issue or problem. I love how spacious the facility is and you never have to worry about fighting for a machine or working out to close to another member. My fave cardio machine is the Jacob ladder and there is 3 of them. I will say this it will wear you out each and every single time. If you are in the area and looking for a new gym, I say give them a try.

Yelp
Great value. Beautiful space. Great if you like Olympic/powerlifting. This place would be perfect if they added a few pieces of equipment and free parking. As it stands, they have $5 parking two blocks away. But, for what I pay, it's a great deal compared to Merritt, and far nicer than Planet Fitness.

Yelp
I hate exercise, but now that I'm 30 I need to be a grown up and work on my fitness. I toured gyms in Baltimore and was not impressed. However, this gym is brand new with high-end equipment and in a really beautiful space. I forced myself to get a trainer, so I would actually show up and have been pleasantly surprised. Evan is one of the best trainers I've ever had. He's extremely passionate about fitness and trains a lot of athletes. He does everything he can to create workouts that are challenging without being repetitive. He's great at reading me and my body and manages to push me to the point where I hate him a little bit, but continue to return. Evan is motivating and creates workouts I wouldn't do on my own (circuit training, boxing, Jacob's Ladder...). Plus, he's a cool guy which makes our time together go faster. I can't recommend him highly enough. If you have fitness goals you'd like to achieve, Evan is your man. As for the gym, I have no complaints! I come during the day and there are literally two other people there. I haven't gone during busy hours, so I can't speak to peak times.

Yelp
Really dope gym, I'll miss it as I'm off to grad school in the fall. It's got the space and the equipment for you to do pretty much anything you want to do from oly lifting to prowler work to cardio machine upstairs and group classes too. Beautiful space on the inside. Only thing I would change is needing some sort of free parking nearby and more platforms for oly lifting and deadlifting. Otherwise fantastic gym for the downtown/central Baltimore area

Amy B.

Yelp
Perfectly fine gym and facilities, no complaints besides the constant towel shortage. However they recently changed their cancellation policy last week that you have to pick up a paper form from the front desk and mail it to a P.O. box which is ABSURD in this day and age. The rationale is so that they can keep better track of cancellations which is ridiculous. They are burdening consumers with the cost (and really time) in order to improve their internal tracking. It is just a ploy to deter cancellations. Absolutely ridiculous!

Maram M.

Yelp
No pool, which is rather annoying considering the size of this gym. Oh well. Baltimore seems to have a pool deficit anyway. Don't move here if you like to swim a lot.
google avatar

Craig S.

Yelp
Not only do the clothes fit me as i was hoping for the staff was also welcoming. Thank you. Sometimes I feel out of place but I felt comfortable looking at the clothes here.
google avatar

Sajid S.

Yelp
Good gym but terrible management, miscommunication on contract policy, cancellation needs to be done way advance otherwise you will be charged for the next month without consideration of any exceptions. Be aware during your initial visit they will say there's a special discount for member on under armour clothing however when you will go to buy you will find out that's for only a couple 1st fee days.

Yelp
Best gym I've been to in my 15 years of weight training! Huge, unique layout allows for various types of training. More equipment and weights than I knew what to do with. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Plus, they offer free classes and even have their own physical therapy center inside the gym. Join here, you won't regret it!

John L.

Yelp
This is a great alternative to all the price fixing going on with all of the Baltimore gyms. I have friends in NYC and DC that pay less then those "other guys" in town. Soooo yes, this place is beautiful, its clean and I enjoy going there....mostly. My gripes which are EASILY fixable are: 1. They play the same 4 songs over and over. Once they even played Adele. ADELE!!! No good. 2. I suppose this one is trickier but tons of douchebags on their cell phones while sitting on a a machine or a bench. I wanted to use a bench one saturday morning but this guy was watching tv on his phone for easily 20 minutes while I did a complete chest workout. This could become a serious problem that would cause me and others to leave...people are totally inconsiderate. Yes, people love their phones.....but get off the damn machine!
google avatar

Ariana P.

Yelp
Just started going to the gym this week. Parking sucks so if you can't take the bus, walk or bike to get there it doesn't make sense to get the membership here. Staff is polite and so far the bike and Barre class is amazing! Free towels, steam room and sauna. Clean shower rooms and great graphics around the gym. Compared to the prices of other gyms in the area it's a pretty good deal.

Brina B.

Yelp
The equipment is older and sometimes breakdown mid workout. Fine if you just need a place to supplement other classes, etc. Also, very difficult cancellation process. Recently moved and had to call several times only to be redirected several times. Took 8 calls and several emails to finally get resolved.

Chris N.

Yelp
It's interesting to use this space for a gym, as it's absolutely beautiful with columns, murals, and a lofty, ornate ceiling. As a gym, it has an array of the standard cardio equipment, weights, and also some contraptions that look like they're straight out of a medieval torture chamber. While intriguing, there's no instruction or signage for these devices, so they might actually be scaffolding for construction crews now that I think about it. It's a good place to work out, and if you're like me, you need an inspiring environment if you're going to be doing it inside on a machine. I do have to knock off a couple of stars because this place is missing some basic things that would make the space a better place to spend time. 1. The lack of clean air or even movement of the stale air makes for an experience not unlike wading through a hot jungle made of sweaty pits and cracks. Don't breathe through your mouth because you might actually taste it. 2. The music. It's not just the uninspiring selection made up of formulaic pop and mumble rap but rather the volume that it's force fed to you through speakers which a narrow range and are set up in a way that emulates the effect of an echo chamber on steroids. An audio engineer is needed badly here. Those two things aside, it's a fine experience. There are free classes, everyone is friendly, and the machines seem mostly clean. It's a new gym, and I'm sure they are still working out the kinks.

Melody T.

Yelp
I went with my friend and have never been here before. At first I thought it was kinda weird inside but it grew on me. It wasn't too crowded and the equipment was clean and seemed new and high-end. Staff was awesome, but I can't remember names..... Sorry- But overall great and cool place

Dani T.

Yelp
Phenomenal fitness center!!! Was able to sign up quickly and immediately use the facility. It is definitely state of the art!! The staff I had john was exceptional and really made me feel welcomed! Ask for Evan if you need a great trainer!

Christine R.

Yelp
I joined this gym online in February before they opened with no contract or any paperwork to speak of. My circumstances changed and I'm unable to get there as often as I'd like. When I tried to cancel, they said there's a $200 cancellation fee. That was not mentioned at all when I signed up -- I did get an email receipt which I double checked today and again, nothing about a cancellation fee or binding contract. Had I known I would have waited until they opened to sign up. I suppose all gyms have a contract but I certainly didn't receive or sign one from UAPC. Shady and annoying.

Yelp
I've heard great things about the other location and was looking to join a gym so I stopped by to get a tour. The space is not fully complete yet, but the gym area is open. The layout is very unique because it used to be a bank. It has a very grand feel which works well once it gets busy. Everyone won't be cramped in one area. You can purchase UA clothing and sneakers. They have a lot of amenities for members and non members. All of the employees were sweet and helpful. Signing up was simple and the cost, $50 a month for an annual membership plus an extra $30 if a spouse wants to join is phenomenal. It's confusing at first getting around but after a few visits should be simple. Most classes (spin, Zumba, yoga etc.) are included in the price except the group fitness class which was $249 a month or $199 for annual. The only downside so far was how loud the music was. It was a good choice but I wanted to listen to my own music and couldn't hear anything. I'm excited to get back in the gym. Hopefully good things from here on out.

Lucas B.

Yelp
Awesome space in an old historical building downtown, great equipment, and very clean. The only problem is the many rules that restrict their gym members. You aren't allowed to drop weight and management seems to hold this rule over safety if you need to fail a lift. If you want restrictions like this save yourself the money and join a Planet Fitness.
