Under Milkwood Chalets

We stayed at Number 11 at Under Milkwood, it was absolutely stunning. Such a beautiful house, incredibly clean, very spacious rooms with a fully stocked kitchen. The pool was amazing, and the easy access to the beach was so wonderful. |The kayaks and paddleboards were such a lovely addition. |The staff were so friendly, and it was a very safe area and easy access to a few restaurants and Knysna town. We would recommend it to anyone, and would love to go back.

We had the most incredible stay at Under Milkwood chalets. We have 2 small boys and they loved playing in the lagoon. The location is amazing, the chalet beautiful and cosy and it was a memorable holiday for all of us. The service and house keeping was impeccable and we can't wait to visit again! Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit.

We stayed in Bottom Cottage on the waters edge,and it was without doubt the highlight of our journey. From the warm greeting to the actual cottage, it was perfect in every way possible. We will be back, I assure you. There was NOTHING that had not been thought of. The location was incredible, and the cottage was spotless, warm, cozy, and equipped with every kitchen appliance you could think of. The bedding of high-grade Egyptian cotton, the TV with full DSTV, and even wood and kindling should you wish to braai. It's possibly the most romantic place I have ever visited!

Breathtaking views, that has an immediate effect of relaxation. The chalet equipment is of the highest quality. This was one of the easier away from home holiday trips. It is the finer details that counts and this resort gets it right. Friendly, approachable and well informed staff. Overall it exceeded our expectations.

Just amazing, the cabins, the staff, the location! Wow, amazing restaurants within walking distance. We went canoeing early morning, the cabins are basically on the beachfront. Super chilled vibes. Spent my birthday here, the staff even left a gift on the counter, very thoughtful.

For the price I really expected more. The “cabin” walls are so thin get ready to be woken up anytime your neighbors open the car door or your kid farts. Worst beds I’ve ever slept on in all my travels abroad. All the houses are very on top of each other, parking is tight if you have a big SUV. Also when I drained the bathtub, the toilet started to bubble and stink. Great kitchen facilities. It’s nice that you can take out a kayak or paddle board for free. They give you fresh firewood every day. Helpful and friendly staff

the location is great! very close to viewpoints, restaurants and overall very safe. the chalet itself is clean, fully equipped with everything you need, with a great beach where you can always take a SUP or canoe. there are a couple of things that need to be mentioned - the smell of damp wood and the slope of the floor in the bedroom - but personally this did not spoil the impression for us, although for someone it may be important. thanks for the hospitality)

An absolutely awesome location and homely serviced, self catering chalets that are family friendly and providing the best of the Knysna eastern head lagoon views and access. Staff also very helpful and friendly.
