The little mermaid showcase I was not able to locate however there’s another attraction that’s there. God is a small world. It was adorable a nice ride for the little ones. The staff was very kind and patient and the wait time was doable.

Google
A Great ride for kids and fans of The Little Mermaid If you're a fan of The Little Mermaid, Ariel’s Undersea Adventure at Magic Kingdom is an enjoyable and relaxing ride you shouldn’t miss. If you end up waiting in the line, the queue is immersive, with seaside-themed details and even a scavenger crab game to keep you entertained while waiting. There is an inner waiting area for the line before you reach the ride, which is simpler but cool and dark. The ride is a clamshell car that fits 2 comfortably. Once on the ride, you're gently taken through scenes from the movie in a clamshell vehicle, surrounded by bright, colorful animatronics and music from the original soundtrack. The "Under the Sea" scene is a highlight — it's packed with vibrant lights, moving sea creatures, and that catchy tune that is its namesake. They have done a good job on the ride of making you feel like you're part of Ariel’s world. The storytelling is clear, especially for kids, and the pace is slow enough for everyone to enjoy without feeling rushed. It is definitely NOT a thrill ride by any means but it IS a perfect break from the heat and crowds, and a great choice for families with younger children or anyone looking for a dose of nostalgia. Overall, it’s a beautifully done attraction that captures the magic of the movie calmly and enjoyably.

Google
This was a lovely ride for children's and adults alike. If you like the littlest mermaid you sit in a shell and go under the sea and view the lovely characters of the cartoon

Google
Very well done attraction design. I like the Ariel statue before you go into the attraction. I like the way it tells the story of Ariel with the underwater effects. The songs had me signing along. Of course, Disney can't show the demise of Ursula, but it doesn't diminish the story. Families will enjoy this ride. I would only recommend a Fastpass on holiday weekends or if the wait time is 45 minutes or more. The standby line moves pretty well, though. Enjoy

Google
This is your typical "sit in a moving seat and look at things" ride at Magic Kingdom. You know what to expect. It's well done up with music and tons of animatronic things to look at. I actually enjoyed when the ride stopped a few times, as it really let you look at the sort of detail they included in the ride.

Google
So fun and magical!! I loved the part where the ride makes you lay back and you feel like you’re going under the sea. Perfect for all ages. The chairs for the rides were so cute too. We did get stuck for a little bit twice but it quickly resumed

Meagan Struman

Google
This dark ride tells a truncated version of The Little Mermaid. The queue is entertaining and fun for kids. The line moves quickly and the ride itself is very enjoyable. I wouldn’t wait in line for more than 20 minutes for it, but I do really enjoy riding at least once while I’m at Magic Kingdom.

Derek Murphy

Google
This ride has been here for some time. It’s a very slow moving ride with depictions of scenes from the movie and music. It’s a cool ride to go on it’s not fast or has any big drops. It’s a good ride for the family and kids.

Yelp
This was probably my son's favorite ride at Magic Kingdom- we rode it three times. We used lightening lane once and the other two times the line was under 15 minutes. It's quite the long queue path, so a lot of that time is just walking to the ride. But it's a great walk, especially when it's super hot since the majority of the queue is shady/covered. To me this is a classic Magic Kingdom ride, I love the music scene. I also love when you "go underwater". Overall a classic gem that my son loves.

Yelp
We got in line for this ride as the app said it was only a 5 minute wait. It was closer to 15 but it was fine as it was much more fun than I expected! I didn't realize it was a ride, I Was thinking it was an exhibit. The clams are really cute! Both of my daughters 17 and 5 love the little mermaid, it was so cute to see them both light up as we journeyed through the story of Little Mermaid. As always Disney really captures the details of the story. I enjoyed the way the clams turn arounds multiple times. Overall I do recommend hitting this ride if you can!

Yelp
If you are a Little Mermaid fan, then this is your ride. It is located in Magic Kingdom and takes you through the story of Ariel in the Little Mermaid. The line starts outside, which can be very hot in the summer. There is little to no shade. But about halfway through, you go under cover and then inside. It's so sunny in Florida, it always takes a few minutes for our eyes to adjust. We can never see at first when we head inside. This line can get very long, it is actually a very long line, however, keep an eye on the wait times, because it usually is around 15-20 minutes only. We very rarely wait for this ride. If the line is over 25 minutes, skip it and come back. I do not think it is worth a super long wait. You will ride in a clamshell that moves around, 360 degrees actually. You will ride backwards for a little bit and also sideways. The seat has a lap bar that comes down. It is not the most comfortable ride vehicle, its actually pretty hard. It does not move fast, it is on a track, so I wouldn't worry about motion sickness. It actually moves (spins) very slow. It moves so that you can see all around you. This ride is extremely colorful, very dark inside at certain parts and also loud in parts. It also always stops at some point. I'm not sure if it is breaking down, or if they are loading a wheelchair or what, but since it is a continuous track, when it stops, every single vehicle stops. We have never been on this ride, where it did not stop. It's actually quite funny to us now. This is a for sure a ride designed for children, however, as an adult, I do enjoy it. It's very relaxing, not too short, and you get to sit down. We always try and swing by, especially when the line is not too long. Again, if it is more than 25 minutes, come back. It always slows down and you do not need to wait more than 20/25 minutes for this. But if you like the Little Mermaid, I will say for sure, add this to your list. It's a family ride for sure.

Yelp
A delightful ride for all ages! The vibrant colors, catchy music, and detailed animatronics make this a charming experience. My little ones were mesmerized by Ariel and her undersea friends. It's a great break from the heat and a perfect way to enjoy a classic Disney story together. The only reason for 4 stars is the ride can get a bit repetitive for adults after a few visits--but still a favorite for young kids!

Yelp
I wouldn't call this one a must do. Sure, the ride is both charming and relaxing but it's really starting to show its age. I don't think this ride will be refurbished or rethemed because Disney has much bigger projects planned that they are working on. However, if you're just looking to relax in some ac or you really like the Little Mermaid, this ride may be just for you.
google avatar

Yelp
These are my kind of rides and the line is fun too. I'll always remember carrying my young one through the line and him sleepily laughing at Scuttle and falling back asleep. And the. It's just a nice calm ride with the music and animation from my childhood. It's great.

Yelp
A great ride to escape the heat and enjoy all the songs you and your kids know by heart. Very well done and such a great ending.

Yelp
The Little Mermaid is a condensed 3 minute ride of the entire picture. The line does move fairly quickly as the moving clamshells are on a belt that do not stop. A cast member will direct you as to which one to take. You can take pictures but because of the movement they can get to be blurry. Lightning lane is available to this attraction. You follow Ariel though highlighted scenes as depicted in her songs. Watching "Under the sea" was my favorite part where you can immerse yourself in the journey of better life under the water. Ursula appears with her "poor unfortunate soul" and transforms Ariel into a human in exchange for her voice. Ariel meets Prince Erik and the show rapidly races to its conclusion-destruction of Flotsom and Jetsom as well as Ursula and then King Triton giving his beloved princess away in marriage. It's a sweetheart of a ride and a popular attraction. The CA Adventure equivalent: This is the exact same ride that is in CA Adventure. It recently added lightning lane to its queue area making it easier to board. Definitely a must do if you are a fan of the Little Mermaid.

Yelp
This is one of the many slow rides at Magic Kingdom. The seats for the ride are clams which add a nice touch. There's not much else for this ride but it's nice if you're a Little Mermaid fan.
google avatar

Yelp
Under the Sea is a fun ride...decor while you walk inside is nice and wrap around until you get the the ride itself...ride in a clam shell and watch the quick story of the Little Mermaid... good ride for kids for all ages. Also a nice break from the heat. Glad I had the chance to ride this one...would definitely ride it again next time in Magic Kingdom. The wait time time wasn't too bad in the afternoon.

Yelp
What a perfect place for parents, their children, and adults who want to feel like kids. The wait was 30 minutes, and along the route to the clam shells in which we rode, we saw beneath the sea delights. The ride itself was like being in the movie with Ariel and experiencing her adventures.

Yelp
Under the sea-Journey though the Little Mermaid is a theme park ride/attraction located in Disney world magic Kingdom. As the name suggests it's a literal journey through the little mermaid. You hop on a clam/seashell looking cart and it takes you through multiple scenes of the movie with the use of animatronic characters and songs from the movie. Cute little ride that my 2 year old absolutely adored. She loved seeing Ariel. My older daughters enjoyed it but pointed out that the newer aged animatronics versus the other classic animatronics on older rides is much creepier. Fun little experience that's a easy laid back ride for ages and sizes and very rarely has a wait. The grotto decor and setup walking into the ride and towards the ride is really well done and pretty cool.
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
I love the theme for this ride. We Lightning Laned this one a couple times. Depending on the time of the night they might have you walk through the entire line, which isn't the worst because it feels like you're walking through a shipwrecked cove which is pretty cool. It seems like this ride would have been cool as a water ride but I understand that wouldn't have been realistic since you're really "under the water". They do an interesting job of accomplishing this by having you plunge backwards into the ocean via your clamshell ride and you get a nice spray of cold air to imitate that as you submerge. This ride features a lot of the fun music from the movie. The only downside is that the ride seems to break a lot. I rode this 3 times and 2/3 there were key animatronics that weren't working - poor frozen Sebastian!
google avatar

Janelle F.

Yelp
Who doesn't love Ariel? Little Mermaid has always been one of my favorites and any chance I get I'll stop to ride it. I love the music and quirky jokes while on it. While it's quick it's a nice reprieve from the fast pace going on outside. Take me away anytime.
google avatar

Austin G.

Yelp
Out of all the rides that take you through scenes in a Disney movie, this one was our five-year-old's favorite. It lasts a little longer than the others and takes you through the Little Mermaid storyline complete with songs and colorful fish! Our daughter got a little nervous when we passed Ursula, but she was fine in the end.
google avatar

Chris B.

Yelp
Slow comfy ride good for any age. It's a slow sit down that can hold 3 people max. I would say. Not many scary things if you are worried about your little one, maybe the Ursula part and the minion eels. Overall, usually a quick moving line and we'll Air conditioned space ride for hot days!
google avatar

Amanda L.

Yelp
This ride is an absolute banger and is probably my favorite of the rides that take you through the whole movie! It had some fun variety, including twisting your vehicle (which was a clam shell mind you!!) around this way and that - including backwards! It's immersive and truly feels like you're going UNDER THE SEA and whatnot - I appreciated the detail! I just love The Little Mermaid as a movie, so seeing all these characters as animatronics really did something to me! I was hooting and hollering and having just an absolute blast. The ride also doesn't go all that fast, so you actually feel like you're on it for a while. There's some black light effects too, which lends an added exciting air to the whole ride. Family friendly, absolute must-ride! This will always reign supreme over the Peter Pan ride for me any day!
google avatar

Pravash M.

Yelp
Relax in a see-shell ;) When aboard, you sit in a seashell that runs on a track, seeing and hearing scenes from the popular movie. Animatronics and videos aren't terrible. This ride broke down while in line but recovered. Our first park visit to ride this, our oldest child was 14 and our kids' ages span a 9 year gap. Still, this was enjoyable for all the family. Heck, it's indoors so also a good spot to escape heat or rain!
google avatar

Rob W.

Yelp
This is a great ride for fans of the little mermaid. It is a nice relaxing ride that takes you on a journey through scenes of the story. You sit in a clamshell and travel through the undersea world. I thought it was very well done and great for all ages.

Yelp
We recently went to Disney World after the re-opening. This ride is located in Magic Kingdom within the corner of Fantasyland at Disney World. There is a identical ride at California Adventure in Disneyland. The one thing I noticed is that the outside decor for the rides are different. In Disneyworld, there is a beautiful walk-through for the ride. Ariel wasn't available to do a Meet-n-Greet during our visit. Fastpass were not in use. Physical distance markers were setup for the ride. The ride is a non-stop ride where you'll need to walk onto it while it's moving. The Shell can fit comfortably 3 people. The ride is a musical of the movie from start to finish. The animatronics are beautifully done. If you're a fan of The Little Mermaid, you'll love this ride. We didn't have a wait for this line. We were able to walk-on to it!
google avatar

Kelly S.

Yelp
Board a clam shell for a ride under the sea and through the little mermaid story. Super cute ride for the whole family with lot's of music and scenes from the movie. Fast pass available but the line moves really fast. After the ride check out the meet and greet near by.

Yelp
Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid is a ride in a clamshell that takes you on Ariel's journey from the sea to the land. The animatronics are great and will have you humming or singing along to the songs from the movie. There wasn't a wait for this ride last night we just had to walk through the queue and hop on. It's a great ride for all ages.

Yelp
Nice ride. This ride is in both here in Orlando as well as in Disneyland's California Adventure. The ride is pretty much identical - meaning if you've been on the one at California Adventure, you know what to expect here. The main difference is the outer appearance, walking to the actual ride (this one is better) and you can also meet Ariel next door. The ride is non stop, meaning you enter and exit while the car keeps going - though that might be difficult for some. The ride does have a tendency to stop at times for that reason, so be prepared to be immersed in your Little Mermaid world for the ride to suddenly stop with a character voice explaining the delay. The ride is basically a musical version of the movie - so if you've seen the movie, you already know what to expect generally. The animatronics and displays are well done as usual. It's also a nice air conditioned break if you want to get out of the heat. Kids and fans of the movie will enjoy the ride. For parents, it's better than some of the other kiddie rides. If you've never been on this one in either Disney park, it's certainly worth going at least once. Located in the Fantasyland area in Magic Kingdom at Disney World.

Yelp
Under the Sea - Journey of The Little Mermaid is a dark ride attraction located in the Fantasyland section of Magic Kingdom at Disney World. This attraction is made for all ages and has no height requirements. Also you don't need to be scared of going into the sea because this ride has no water so you won't get wet at all. Since this ride is made for everyone, let's ~dive~ into what you will experience on this Little Mermaid themed ride. Ride: To start I think you should know what you're getting on before you hear about the experience of the ride. One of the top reasons I love Disney World is because of every detail they smash around to fully transform you into a different world. Journey Under the Sea definitely transports you into the shores of the Little Mermaid. From the outside the ride looks like Prince Eric's castle with a shipwreck on the outside and a hidden cave entrance. You enter the cave to find yourself inside a ship wrecked version of Ariels grotto. It's filled with gadgets and other items you think Ariel would collect and it really makes you want to take the time to look around and find all the hidden treasures. To make this even more fun for the little ones there are multiple projected hidden crabs around the wreckage for you to find. Once you make further into the grotto you meet up with Scuttle to help get you ready for the ride. He will talk to guests and act just like how you would imagine he would in real life. This is a great transition tool because he is your narrator throughout the actual ride. Once you exit Scuttles section you enter into more lines but the further you progress the more the environment changes to be of inside Eric's castle. Once you reach the main hallway the walls have fully transformed over and you see the clamshells you will enter for your journey into the sea! This takes a long time to get there but it is a very successful transition from a grotto into a castle. Experience: There is a lot to love about the look of the ride and how it functions as a vessel for you to feel like you're in a different world. There are a lot of great mechanics put into this ride but the ride is very short and has a very abrupt ending. The very best part of this ride is at the very beginning. After you get locked into your clamshells you get spinned 180 to face backwards and you go down an incline. As you go down they blast you with cold air and have bubbles and sounds all around you to make you feel like you are being pulled underwater. After that you enter the best part of the ride which is the "Under the Sea" song part. There are a ton of animatronics to look at and multiple stages with different Ariels too. The song is blasting the whole time and definitely makes you want to get out and dance with the fish! After this section you enter the lair of Ursula for an insanely short visit. She's a super impressive animatronic that stands almost 8 feet tall and is 12 feet wide. She's a beast and makes you super nervous to be around while she sings her signature song. After the transition from land to sea, the great dance room, Ursula's room, the ride just begins to fall flat. The next transition rooms are just quick displays on sections of the movie that you get pushed through very fast and are so walled off that they hardly feel like they go together. You enter the "Kiss the Girl" room, then like a nonsense room with a picture of giant Ursula, then the next room is the end with them getting married. It's so bizarrely done for a Disney ride that it really stands out against some beyond amazing rides. This makes this ride not always worth the time. If it's a longer than a 15 minute wait I would definitely skip this attraction. Overall: This is a must do for people that love The Little Mermaid or that want to do as much Disney Princess stuff that they can do. It's a really cool looking ride with a very strong beginning. The 2nd half of the ride is not well done and can be boring at times. Hop on this journey if the wait times are low but anything longer you should skip this and go to Space Mountain or 7 Dwarves that is near by.

Yelp
The worst ride we went on in Disney, no question. On our second day in Magic Kingdom we tried to hit all the rides we didn't get to the first day. this was one of them. There wasn't much of a wait if any, now we know why. After being amazed at the detail in the Star Wars rides, or Epcot buildings, or 3d fun rides, you get to see Ariel, looking very blah, and cheap;y put together. Seriously, she was the worst looking character figure in the park. No moving mouth, boring movement. Moving along, we came to a hug room that you could tell there was supposed to be a party going on. All the fish and character figures dancing and moving, but NO SOUND. it was a very bug room and you move slowly through it, then when we got to the last corner, the sound came on. Finally, near the end, another poorly animated and decorated Ariel. This ride needs a major redesign with some effort put into the decoration. It wasn't any less interesting than a lot of the other rides, but the lack of detail left us feeling let down. Thankfully, again, there wasnt a big wait for us to get on it.

Yelp
A great ride for little kids and tells the actual story of the little mermaid. The atmosphere is super cute and feels like you're on a boat and or underwater. The crew is super good and I personally enjoy the ride. The only reason I took off a star is the ride is constantly breaking down and stopping you can't get off the ride without a stop at some point in the ride. But overall a great ride especially for those little ones.

Yelp
To be honest, I didn't really want to go on this ride. I hadn't been to the WDW parks since 2003, but I picked up an annual pass at the end of 2017. Since obtaining the pass, I have been determined to get on as many rides as possible at all the parks. A Little Mermaid ride? Surely this was going to be dated since this movie came out in 1989! I was wrong. That said, I do have a soft spot for this movie as it came out when I was still a kid. We had fast passes for this ride and I honestly had no clue where it was even located! We asked around and found it. Wait time wasn't that bad even in the later morning, which I thought was a bad sign. For some reason the crappy and outdated Peter Pan ride always has a 75 minute wait, so why would this be any better with it's minimal line? We quickly boarded our clam shell, don't worry, this ride is smooth sailing. I fell in love with this ride right away. You will hear snippets of all of your favorite songs from this fantastic Disney movie. Certain parts of this ride were just so bright, colorful and FUN! I checked Wiki and this ride opened at the very end of 2012, so that was why it felt so modern. I loved seeing all of the characters from this Disney classic. I exited the ride really wanting to go on it again. The line was only 15 minutes long, so I went for it. Definitely check out this ride, especially if you are a Little Mermaid fan. I bet most kids 10 and under will love this too.

Yelp
Under The Sea - Journey Of The Little Mermaid is an attraction in the new Fantasyland opened at the very end of 2012. You board the dark ride by climbing into a clamshell (a la Nemo) and buckle up for 6 minutes of classic Disney fun. This ride really makes you feel like you've gone under water thanks to the magic of Disney! There are some as-realistic-as-it-gets animatronics to be seen singing along to the score of The Little Mermaid. The ride takes you through the story of The Little Mermaid scene by scene. I think my favorite scene of the ride was Prince Eric and Ariel in their rowboat sha-la-laing and him about to "kiss the girl" Woah~Woaaaaaah! This ride is a great new dark addition to the land of dark rides (Fantasyland). It is much more technologically advanced than it's counterparts but I think a bit more could have been done! Don't get me wrong, it's better than I expected and I enjoyed it singing happily along to all the songs. But it has a bit of the old timey Disney feel still, which actually may not be all that bad.

Yelp
Ariel sings: I don't know when. I don't know how. But I know something starting right now. Watch and you'll see. Someday I'll be, part of your world... Boy, oh boy. What an understatement. Ariel, Flounder, Eric, Ursala and Ariel's underwater world come to life in this recreation of the Movie: The Little Mermaid. If you would like to insure you see this attraction or meet Ariel in her Grotto you may use FastPast+ Reservations to see it and her. This is a great opportunity to have a photo taken with her in her Mermaid Form. Not to be missed at the Disney Studios is a live show, Voyage of The Little Mermaid. If you have the time, visit the Art of Animation Resort. There you will find giant (up to Four Story Tall) Figures of some of your your favorite characters from the movie. Also there is the largest resort pool at the Disney Resort. If you just can not have enough of Ariel, you may stay in a Little Mermaid Themed Hotel Room. Tip: You may take the Skyliner from Epcot to the resort. A nice sneak a peak of this new mode of transportation. Ariel's Fanbase have their princess represented at the Disney World Resort.

Yelp
This is such a cute little ride tucked in the back of Fantasyland. The Little Mermaid has always been and will always be my favorite Disney movie, so this ride gets me every time. If you don't care much about the film though, you probably wouldn't really care for this ride. With this ride, you'll hop on a shell and go through the story of the Little Mermaid, and its a pretty typical ride that is a bit dated. However, I think the animatronics are still cute and each scene that you experience looks awesome. You'll usually never have to wait long for this ride, since the gondola shells are constantly moving to get people on and off. You may even be able to meet Ariel right next door to the ride!
google avatar

Zach G.

Yelp
I'm surprised the lines weren't longer here throughout the day. We watched the wait times on the app wondering if there was something wrong since the times barely went past 10 minutes most of the day. This was a great ride to take the kids on. It's a slower pace but takes you through the Little Mermaid storyline with all of the songs that you love from the movie. Scuttle is there throughout to add a touch of humor. The kids enjoyed it, and any ride that puts a smile on my kids faces is ok by me.
google avatar

Brittany H.

Yelp
The Little Mermaid was one of my favorite movies and Ariel was one of my favorite Disney characters while growing up, so I was feeling super nostalgic on this ride and singing along the entire time. Hop into your boat and admire the bright colors and being in the sea with Ariel, Ursula, Sebastian, Flounder, and the rest of the gang.

Yelp
A fun and whimsical ride for any Little Mermaid fan. This constantly moving clam shell ride offers a trip through the movie scenes as a retelling of the classic tale. Scuttle starts us of by rambling about the story's beginning and you're then whisked "under water" to Ariel's collection cave and the Under The Sea song by Sebastian. The Ursula scene is a personal fave with an animatronic full size Ursula singing about "helping" unfortunate souls. A few nods to the transformation to human and the blue lagoon. Oddly other than a small, easy to miss, nod to vanquishing Ursula, the ride pretty much skips past the Vanessa and Ursula having the trident scenes. Overall: B Skips some major plot scenes, but a quick line for an air conditioned ride!

Yelp
I love the Little Mermaid! This ride was created during the Fantasyland expansion and being a fan I had high expectations for it. I am happy to report that and it did not disappoint. The ride queue has a lot of details to look at. Ariel is out front as a ships figurehead. As you move through the line you pass Prince Eric's castle and around beaches and waterfalls. Finally you enter a cave filled with Ariel's treasures from the humans. Presiding over it all is Scuttle the Seagull. Once you reach the ride you board omnimover clam shells that take you through scenes of the movie while it;s iconic songs are played. The final scene is Prince Eric and Ariel's wedding attended by King Triton. The Little Mermaid movie is one of my favorite Disney films and I feel that they did a great homage to it with this ride. The rooms you pass through are filled with so much detail and all of the highlights from the film are represented. The ride combined with the detail in the queue make this an experience not to be missed. After you finish you can go next door to Ariel's grotto and meet her in person.

Yelp
This is a nice ride geared towards the younger kids. The adults can use this ride to take a breather or a short nap. The ride is pretty much a condensed version of the animated movie minus the potentially scary parts for the little one as they never show how the Sea Witch was defeated. They just skipped right through to the happy ending. If you or your kids love the Little Mermaid and the soundtrack, be sure to check out this ride while you're at the Magic Kingdom.

Yelp
I'd give this ride five stars just because of the song "Under the Sea"! This is a very simple and relatively fast-moving ride. It's one of those conveyor belt rides like Haunted Mansion and Buzz Lightyear. I've been trying rides that I don't normally go on at Disney due to the Covid restrictions and I'm actually glad I rode this one. The animatronics are really pretty amazing. This ain't your animatronics from Chuck E. Cheese. These are kind of top-tier, but of course, it's Disney soooooo. The ride twists and turns through all the main scenes of the Little Mermaid and tells you the whole story even if you haven't seen the movie. All the music is crystal clear and took me back to the old days of Disney when the movie first came out. I completely lost my marbles when the ride goes into the run where Sebastian is singing "Under the Sea". It's one of my most favorite songs from a Disney movie. So I was in there partying out with all the fishes and brightly colored sea life and of course Ariel swishing her tail and bobbing her head to the beat of the music. Jam out with your clam out....or maybe not...since you're at Disney. It really was a good time and since the line was short I went 5 more times. It's actually one of my new favorites.

Yelp
Yes, yes, yes.... this is another Disney "dark ride" where you ride along and see different scenes/animatronics, but I don't care, I absolutely love it and it gets 5 full stars from me! You climb about your shell and off you go under the sea; I really do feel like I'm going under the sea. It's just so cool. As you ride through, various songs are playing from the movie (love it and yes, I sing along). The animatronics are outstanding, but that's probably expected, it is Disney we're talking about. All the colours are so very bright and vibrant. Every time I ride this, I'm all giddy and it makes me feel like a little kid again! My husband gets the biggest kick out of watching me while we're on this thing. :D If I love it this much, then kids most certainly will love it!

Yelp
My family rode this ride right after opening and there was absolutely no wait. Everyone really enjoyed the ride. Loved seeing the story of Ariel's adventure before my eyes. Everything was amazing as usual, at the Magic Kingdom.

Yelp
This one seems to be going down hill... there was zero line when we saw it. I'm pretty sure I remember this all being the same 30 years ago when I was a kid. Still a good concept but either needs a face lift or needs to become something else. But it's also really nice to have a ride you can walk right on to!!

Yelp
We all loved riding in a shell. I'm not crazy about how Ariel looked, especially under water. It looked like the ride was made in the early days. Plus she looked weird except when she had more realistic hair out of water. Her face was off, too. If we'd been to Epcot first, it would have been even more disappointing after Frozen. The projections are kind of obvious there, but at least the characters are animated and look right. Be cool if they could revamp this ride with the new tech. Eric looked pretty accurate, and Sebastian and Flounder looked great. Ursula was pretty impressive, and I loved the special effects on that part. I also wish they added bubbles or something to enhance the feel. Tou feel a rush of cool air when you go under water, but that's about it. This ride was pretty much still a walk on a couple hours after the park opened during spring break. I wouldn't bother with a fast pass.

Yelp
I always enjoy riding Ariel's Under the Sea attraction. The wait is rarely long, it's colorful, displays the most popular scenes and characters, and plays the catchiest music. Each car holds 2-3 people and it's a nice, cool break from the sun. If you or someone in your group loves The Little Mermaid, a meet & greet is nearby.

Yelp
This ride is probably a whole lot of fun if you happen to be a young girl. While I may have some girl like tenancies, I most certainly am not, nor was ever, a fan of the Little Mermaid. So keep that in mind when you read this review. This ride is very popular. We had fast passes, but the standby line was over an hour. I cannot imagine waiting that long to take this ride, but to each their own. The ride is a typical Disney clam shell ride and this one tells the story of The Little Mermaid. The ride gives you the impression that you have moved under the water and are part of the show. The giant animatronic and holographic characters sing songs, swim and do their best to entertain you. Had I a clue what the story was supposed to be, I would probably say they did a great job telling it, but since I didn't, I will leave that to other reviewers. The kids did absolutely love this ride. I enjoyed the air conditioned break and brief rest from traipsing around the park. If you're a fan of The Little Mermaid or have young girls, I suggest you visit this ride.

Yelp
Would I use a fast pass on this? - No. Just flat no. The kid factor: GRADE C. This one is for the girls. The line, ease of boarding, staff, and atmosphere: GRADE D. This has got to be one of the most uncomfortable lines in the park. Despite much of the line being in "a cave", its a very long and exceptionally humid line that you will sweat to the point you'll probably be wanting a bottle of water. I've been here on multiple visits and this is something that hasn't changed. They need fans down there. No issues otherwise. The ride overall / final thoughts: GRADE D+. I'd probably rate higher if it wasn't for the uncomfortable line atmosphere. The ride is cute/meh, but it really doesn't feel worth the discomfort you'll have beforehand.

Yelp
Brief Description: You'll venture through about a dozen scenes retelling the story of The Little Mermaid, with animatronics, video effects, and a vibrant 3D set. This is done by way of - you guessed it - a Disney-Patented conveyor system. This time upon a clamshell-shaped vehicle. You'll journey past Ariel's grotto and on to King Triton's undersea kingdom. Pros: The "descending" into the water effect/element is really cool, and it's neat to see all your favorite friends from the movie. The Ursula animatronic is really impressive. The queue is a masterpiece. Very well-done and designed, with interactive elements. You REALLY feel as though you are wandering through a grotto/cave. Admittedly, this is a Disney strong suit, as many of the queues around the part are nearly-unrivaled nationwide, but this and a few others really stand out. Cons: The line can be long, but this is Disney, and you knew that. The only other think is that this is another slow, dated conveyor ride. This was really impressive 15-20 years ago, but it's time to freshen up. I know you have the money, Dis!! Ride rating: 2/5 Experience rating: 3/5

Yelp
Yes, it's a kiddie ride. Yes, it's slightly corny... know that ahead of time. And if that isn't your cup of tea, then you're not going to like Magic Kingdom altogether. This was the second "ride" that I experienced at Magic Kingdom. It's in the constant flow format, so the wait went by fairly quickly. The carts are the same as It's A Small World and Haunted Mansion. Each cart can seat 3 people or 2 adults and 2 kids. Ariel is one of my favorites, so it would totally have to bomb for me to rate anything Little Mermaid related any less than a five. Would I have waited in the line as long as we did for the other rides? Yes, and maybe then I would've complained. Long story short, it's worth experiencing if there isn't a long wait. We were there on a Saturday and the short wait we experienced was worth it.

Yelp
This ride is basically a Haunted Mansion-style (but in clam shells) ride through the Little Mermaid movie. There's a lot of singing and dancing sea creatures. And it's well-done and is quite enjoyable. Now, though, this attraction is crazy popular and can have a way lengthy wait. To be honest, I'm not sure I would've bothered with this one if we didn't have a Fastpass. But now that I've experienced it... Well, I still wouldn't wait in an hour+ line for it. But I'll happily use Fastpass to experience it again.

Yelp
I am surprised it took the Magic Kingdom so long to get a Little Mermaid ride in Fantasyland - it is such a beloved tale! Climb aboard a clam shell vehicle and plunge beneath the water's surface into the cool depths of the sea. Here, you will relive all of the highlights of the movie, including a colorful and fun rendition of "Under the Sea" (this is my favorite part). You will also witness Ariel fall in love with Eric and the downfall of Ursula. The ride is a decent length, so this is a great break on a hot summer day!

Yelp
Always is the best place to enjoy with the family... we enjoy every moment in the park.
