Really surprised to see a quality Mexican restaurant in the middle of Nowhere Norway. But the chef relocated here from Oaxaca, Mexico and has married the tastes of Norway with the taste of Oaxaca for a fabulous result. We liked the tacos more than the mole. Wasn’t the traditional chocolate mole I had thought of. But the Gubernador tacos were insane. Get them. Also ask for the spicy hot sauce which was actually, truly spicy. Also really liked the salmon tartare in guac.

1. We sat down and ordered two main courses. The black hair girl asked are we sure we don’t want any starters when we hand over the menu back. We said no. She took the menu and came back 2min later asking if we want anything to drink. We said no because we don’t want to take alcohol and drive back. She insisted and asked a second time if we want any soda in this case. At this point we started to feel uneasy but we still took it out of good intention 2. There was a family gathering in the nearby area. The same girl walked past by and said something like “what a good family gathering, everyone is on their phone”. It is not us who were being judged but it made us feel very uncomfortable eating under the roof where you can possibly be judged by the waitress. 3. When we were ready to pay the bill, the same girl charged us over 2000 Norway krone in the first place. We realized the number was completely off and asked to double confirm the price of the dish we ordered. Instead of checking the price the girl directly told us the price was correct until the other man came and took a look at their system. He then fixed the number and said sorry. The girl simply said “my fault. Thanks for noticing”. No apologies for potentially overcharging us for more than double the price. 4. The food is fairly good but everything above ruined it all.

An authentic family-owned Mexican restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. The ambiance was authentic, there was Mexican music playing in the background and there were even sombreros on the walls. It was easy to find parking place outside of the restaurant. The tacos are highly recommended. :)

A lovely establishment with friendly and warm service. Salmon was really good. Cod was nicely cooked but needed a bit more seasoning and I personally did not enjoy the sides of beans. Slow cook beef was super tender and juicy. We had the chocolate moose for dessert and it was fantastic. Especially the coffee ice cream. Yum.

This place was such a lucky find. We were super hungry after a long sea kayak tour in Reine. We founds this place lion Google and decided to try it. So glad we did. Super sweet immigrant couple running the restaurant. The quesadilla sampler was fire! So delish! As Americans living overseas for a few years in the UK we were so happy to stumble on some Mexican food!

A lot of flavor in a little part of the Lofoten Islands. The pork tacos are outstanding and satisfied the only missing part of my visit to this incredibly, beautiful part of the world. If you need to spice up the heat ask Tomás for the habanero pickled red onions. My tolerance for heat usually maxes out with habanero but the reduction was definitely not from the flavor! The guacamole was exactly how it should be. Fresh, subtle and delicious! Patio has nice views of the water and even Reinebringen! Gracias Tomás!

I’ve lived in Europe (Germany) for five years now and these are seriously the BEST tacos I’ve had on this continent. The team knocks it out of the park with every type of taco and this place should be packed every night. Also, the spicy marg was actually spicy! That never happens in Europe. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting the Lofoten Islands.

Amazing little restaurant along the E-10! We had the tacos and they were fantastic! So flavorful! It’s a little hard to find the parking, but just follow the signs. Well worth the stop and they’re open till 10pm, which we needed as we were adjusting to the midnight sun.
