Just settling in from our Raja Ampat liveaboard in Indonesia 10 days of spectacular and unforgettable diving that have given us all vivid lifetime memories. We just got back from another fantastic Underwater World trip to Bonaire. We had our equipment serviced before we left and everything worked perfectly. They also have a great selection at competitive prices for all your diving needs, and we were able to pick up some great options right before our trip. I love traveling with Underwater World because everyone is so friendly and if someone got certified through their shop you know they are going to be great divers. We’re looking forward to our next trip with the best dive shop around!

I am so happy that I can trust these guys with my equipment. I have horror stories from my last dive store in North Jersey. Nice shop, but as with most brick and mortar shops these days, I wish they had more apparel and equipment in house to purchase. I did buy a new check-on suitcase that I need for a trip in 10 days:). It sounds like they do some nice travel trips. I will be sure to check out their trips in the future. Thanks-for the friendly shop with the all important equipment servicing!

Very polite and professional. Regardless if you are an experienced diver or just interested in the possibility of learning SCUBA, Underwater World(UWW) is a fantastic dive shop.

The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful. I have recently complete both a Dry Suite Certification course and a Nitrox Diver Certification Course through Underwater World. Both were excellent. They also sponsor local, national, and international dive trips. I highly recommend this dive shop.

When Scuba Instructor, Adam, met us two years ago, we had a goal of becoming certified to dive in the Great Barrier Reef. Well, because of Adam, we did that last week! We wanted to tell everyone not only because we successfully completed our “mission” but also to thank him. It was very evident that NAUI is way more about safety than PADI. Because of Adam’s training, we felt safe and that we could be the best buddies for each other. Always a great experience here. The staff are very helpful and friendly, willing to answer any questions you have. Their shop is well stocked, organized, and clean. I was certified back in 2022 with these guys, my sister was certified this past weekend. Adam was an excellent instructor who takes the time to make sure each student is ready and comfortable. At the same time he keeps the energy up with some jokes in between. It’s been a pleasure getting to know everyone over the fast few years, never had a negative experience. Highly recommended.

Awesome shop. Brand new parking lot, not a single pot hole. Although, I miss Erin at the desk, DM Kromer has been a real nice addition to the shop. They even let you feed the fish on Friday nights.

Great group of people. Very approachable and committed to the students. Many classes are available for people with different schedules and time constraints.

The Best regulator Service anywhere. Always trust them with my gear. They also plan the best, most affordable dive trips anywhere!

Poor Service. I'll save you all the long winded story. They sold me a product via Amazon. Suspect that's not allowed with the brand they sold me. That product failed. After more shipments and failed promises than the product was worth, I gave up. Fair warning - choose another.

I started going to Underwater World about a year ago after being dissatisfied with another dive shop in the area. From the moment I walked in I felt comfortable and was treated like I was a lifelong friend and customer. I started diving with the staff and other customers regularly and have developed some great friendships and expanded my dive buddy network. I slowly purchased my own dive gear and never once felt pressured or pushed to buy the best or most expensive piece of equipment, rather it was important to them that I buy the gear that was correct for me. If I bought something that didn't fit or work as well for me underwater as it did in the shop (mask ended up flooding a lot for example) they would exchange it and help find the right fit. I just completed my Advanced Scuba Diver certification through them and have to say that it was the best instruction I've ever had. I am a completely different diver as a result. I feel confident, far more comfortable and most importantly, safer underwater now. If your diving and haven't done it it's well worth the time and money to do so! Hands down the best dive operation in the area in my opinion!

This is slightly shameful to admit, but I decided to go with Underwater World Inc because it offered the least expensive rescue diver course in the Philly area. I know, I KNOW rescue diver class is something you should NOT to skimp out on, like wedding photography, smoke detectors, and car inspection... not sure what I was thinking. Thankfully, Underwater World turned out to be legit. I have yet to rescue drowning orphans, but this dive shop helped me become a more skilled and conscientious diver. The shop itself is located outside of Philly. I didn't mind the drive because there was a Sonic on the way. One thing to note is that this is a NAUI dive shop. From my experience, PADI and NAUI are pretty interchangeable, but in case you care. Their rental equipments were well-maintained, and the instructor, Denny, took his time to make sure the students understood the materials. He's a seasoned, well-travelled diver, so he was fun to chat with. Overall, it's a solid dive shop to dive with. They go to Dutch Springs for check out dives, so it's not a bad idea to tag along with if you are new in the area. Happy diving!

I was certified with Underwater World in 2017 for open water and then advanced diver. Everyone in the shop has always been pleasant and so nice. I have now been on two trips with the shop, one last May to Freeport and February of this year to Bimini while the hammerhead sharks were running through, what an amazing experience to see! The trips I have been on have been well planned out but and so much fun and are great for the beginner or an experienced diver. I highly recommend Underwater World!!

I signed up at the shop in Horsham to start learning how to Scuba dive in September. I would not recommend the instructor. She did not teach important skills like neutral buoyancy and only at the last session before certification dives did she give me feedback to say I was not ready. Dives were 3 days away and I was blindsided.How could I have known I was not ready-I was not taught the skills and had no prior feedback good or bad. She also did this to another student in the class. BTW.. there were only 4 people in the class.! I spoke with Mike the owner and he enrolled me in a wonderful Class with an instructor named Eric Richards. He taught me what I needed to know to be a safe and certified scuba diver. His skills are spot on and he takes the time to work with you to make sure you understand and do them properly and safely.He has a few people working hand in hand with him who are wonderful and he took the time to help me! November 30th I did my checkout Dives in the warm ocean in Aruba. I felt ready, safe and had a great time. One dive was 65 Feet and exciting.I cannot wait to dive again. Eric restored my confidence which Barb shattered. I am not bitter about the first experience but I put this review out so nobody else takes lessons with her.

We have been a customers for fifteen years starting with training and visit regularly now for new equipment and service. They are always professional, courteous and fun... For safe family adventures they are the best!

Got certified here several years ago and the trainers were great..they made you feel at ease and we're there to help you every step of the way. Getting certifies through Underwaterworld was exciting and fun. The classroom training taught me things I would have never thought you needed to know. I highly recommend getting certified through Underwaterworld! Plus they have great scuba trips through the store!

I have been a customer of Underwater World for 4 years. The shop is great for equipment and advice. However, the instruction was not great. The instructor we had was poorly prepared for the lectures, and was not confidence-building in the pool sessions. I nearly quit half way through the course because I didn't think I could do it. I'm a strong confident swimmer but the NAUI methodology seems to be geared more towards folks who are athletes, not ordinary people. However, the story ends well, I finished my Open Water and Advanced OW courses elsewhere and love diving (now 78 dives to my name!)

At 59, I decided to fulfill my personal goal to learn and be certified in scuba, I signed up for online classes that included weekly pool practices in January. I was apprehensive as I joined my classes in the instructions each week but by February I found myself in Bimini diving with Hammerhead sharks! I did it! But not without the expert training and advocacy of the knowledgeable staff. Specifically George And Diane - my certification instructors; and the extraordinary dive master and trip coordinator, Eric. Each took a personal interest in helping me achieve my goals and to make the learning fun! . This team has a loyal following of certified divers who were in the trip and welcomed me into their fold, sharing experiences and allowing me the room to create my own. Eric handled all of the details, ensuring our safety and providing us with extra experiences he negotiated on the island on our behalf. Not only did I learn a lifelong skill and interest, I feel like I have a scuba family!

Dive Nazis! I couldn't agree more with the reviewer who said the instructors are awful. Perhaps they're skilled divers themselves, but they seem to be unable to impart that knowledge to others. Condescending, confusing, ill-tempered, with verbal and written communication not up to that of most middle schoolers. Run the other direction!
