The village is nice it's niched right on the fjord and it's quite isolated. However I'm not sure it's worth the detour. And the church you can't see from the inside. You'll spend 30 min max in the village and leave. The road is long and beware of sheeps there.

Small, sweet, naive, yet full of meaning, stave church.
Built in 1170, resonates of all the stories, lives, prayers of all the people who were there throughout centuries.
It truly emotioned me.

I didn’t enter the church because it seemed that no entry was. The church looks really good and the view was absolutely stunning.

What an amazing experience to visit a wooden church almost 900 years old! Also the guide was highly knowledgable and managed to entertain our cranky toddlers as well. Highly recomended.
